Food was pretty good, we definitely underestimated the quantity of how much food would come in each dish. We ended up having a lot of left overs. The Thai tea was especially good! I recommend getting this. The service was okay but the restaurant was very pretty inside.

Went to TL on Friday night. It was fantastic. The Duck soup was delicious as was the crispy beef. Service was very good. I would recommend them for sure!

This place is amazing!! The food portions are large (and sharable - if desired). It's so flavorful! The thai dumplings - got 3 orders. Drunken chicken noodles, crispy snapper, spicy fried rice (liked the ground chicken vs the filet pieces), and the crispy duck (OMG!!) - we ate well!! The ambiance is delightful. The owner is super friendly and sweet. You'll love this hidden gem that's not super busy!!

Love the lunch menu. Comes with soup and spring roll. Both very good. I enjoyed the red curry, while my guest had panang curry. Both flavorful. Full of veggie goodies. Decor is nice. Not updated or fancy. Music playing at a low volume enhances the mood. Recommend for lunch.

Crispy Duck Noodle Soup - So good!

Who knew this area would be known for one dish: Crispy Duck noodle soup. I had the pleasure of trying Thai Tada's version and wanted to see how Thai Luang compared. Although their crispy skin got soggier faster, the duck had a bit more flavor from the duck fat. Also, the broth slightly had more flavor than Thai Tada's. Thai Luang's version uses very large wide noodle which was fun to eat with a fork. The prices were about the same and well worth every dollar. In conclusion, which place is better? Sorry folks, it's a dramatic tie for me!

Pad Thai with Fried Tofu (to go portion is HUGE) nice and spicy if you ask for it

I moved to Herndon two years back and ever since, this has been my go to thai place! In fact, since coming here I now live in Chantilly, and I will drive all the way out here because their thai food is the best in northern Virginia hands down. The staff are so friendly, sweet, and when you order to go they make it FAST. My go to items are the Pad Thai, Pad See Ew and the Spicy Basil Fried Rice. I really like spicy food and level 2 and 3 are very spicy! I love when places actually know what "spicy" means. I always get tofu as my protein and they give you plenary! The thai iced tea is also super good. I have never been disappointed with anything I've ordered from here. The biggest plus for me is they give you SO much when you order. I know when I order take out it will last me a good three to four days of dinner.

Thai food is not my favorite. We went here for my MIL's birthday. The food was decent. Not a big fan of coconut either but we decided to share some coconut ice cream. DUDE, this ice cream changed my life. Imported directly from Thailand it was freaking amazing. Huge chunks of roasted coconuts it tastes like chocolate. I daydream about it everyday. GO TRY IT!

Chicken Drunken Noodles with Ground Chicken...

Wow. Well I asked a co-worker where to go for Good Thai. He said oh this place in Herndon. Another friend said Reston but I wanted to try a next door place. So sorry I did. This is garbage. This is Drunken Noodle. This is just slop, liquid clear red saucy. Minced chicken. Well I am glad I threw away $20... lets just say Sisters is worth the drive.

Their prices went up pretty significantly compared to several years. The duck noodle soup I ordered this time still tasted good.

My wife and I finally decided to try this place after years of saying "one day". We've now ordered twice in the past 2 weeks. The first time we ordered the Ka Prow fried rice and the drunken noodles with medium spice and chicken. I ordered the lunch size drunken noodles and it was a good amount of food! They were the best drunken noodles I've had around here by far. And the Ka Prow fried rice was so smoky and full of flavor! It makes all other fried rices feel boring in comparison. This time I ordered the Kao Soi chicken. It had a delicious red curry sauce and two whole chicken legs with the egg noodles. I loved how rich the flavor of the soup is. The full grilled squid was something we ordered on our first time and it was also really good but I think a tad overcooked. I can't really speak to service other than the staff being friendly when I've walked in to grab our order. But the inside of the restaurant is cozy. We will definitely keep coming back here and highly recommend it if you're in the area.

Fun fact! I reviewed this place 3 years ago it appears - read that review because it still applies…read more3 years later. Thank goodness Nan Thai survived covid! That should tell you something right there. THIS REVIEW IS FOR A LUNCH TO-GO CARRY OUT ORDER FOR 1 (ME!) - while it's not posted on their website, I called and found out they DO have a lunch specials menu. I ordered the Panang Curry Chicken. Lunch specials come with rice and 2 spring rolls. $15 which for what you get and the large entree portion size is super good value - ESPECIALLY THESE DAYS OF OUTRAGEOUSLY SKY HIGH PRICES FOR EVERYTHING INCLUDING DINING OUT! I even had leftovers and made a second meal out of it. Can't beat that for value. I posted pics of my lunch order so check those out. I think you'll agree that for $15, it's a good deal. And the curry and spring rolls were DELICIOUS. JUST LIKE I REPORTED 3 YEARS AGO! Really good quality sliced white meat chicken, thick but not too thick (and definitely not too watery which I hate!) curry sauce that was superrrrr flavorful. I mean spoon the extra sauce over rice and you're good to go! Don't waste even a drop of it lol. It's liquid gold. The spring rolls were deeeeelicious. Super piping hot out of the deep fryer and the tightest rolled rolls I've ever seen and bitten into. JUST LIKE 3 YEARS AGO. Da BOMB. The restaurant is located in the Worldgate Shopping Center in Herndon off Elden. Super convenient. The inside is super cute, cozy and clean JUST LIKE 3 YEARS AGO. There were a good number of people eating in. Staff was super friendly. And what I love about this place is, if you're picking up carry out, there's a row of 20 min parking spaces close to the restaurant for quick in and out. If you're looking for an amazing value and a delicious lunch meal with a quick, no hassle in and out, Nan Thai is it! Definitely HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I'll be back to order other lunch special dishes for sure!

The staff was welcoming, and I was seated right away. I ordered the chef's special, the Chili Duck Fried Rice ($25). The portion was generous, the fried rice was well-cooked, and the duck was tender. I do wish the meat had more flavor though. My other complaint was the spice level. I ordered it at spice level 3, but it had no heat. Thankfully, the server brought out chili condiments on the side, so I was able to adjust the spice to my liking.
