I have not seen Candy here in the last 3 months during 5-6 visits and I can easily attest that the food quality and service is "off" and we strongly suspect that this restaurant has changed ownership. Current staff claims Candy is on a "vacation" in New York? Consider us extremely disappointed! After our latest meal at what was once our favorite restaurant in Seaside, I will think twice about dining here again as our food was very bland and service was not attentive like it always was when Candy was running it.

We couldn't eat them at all, which was disappointing since they're almost a $4 upcharge! The restaurant itself is pretty small, so I'd recommend coming when they open. Otherwise, I could see there being a wait. They only have one cook, so the food can take some time as well, but they have signs letting you know upfront, which I appreciated. There was only 1 waiter, but were friendly and attentive throughout.

The food was authentic and delicious. I am a Thai Iced Tea snob and LOVED the Thai Iced Tea here... best I've had in a long time! Because of the bargain lunch special and it being our first time here, we had two appetizers and two entrees. We ordered the gyoza and spring roll appetizers, both were delicious. Gyoza is a go-to for us and this one did not disappoint. I had the Pad Kee Mao which I make myself so I'm kind of a critic when I try it at restaurants. I am happy to say, if I'm too lazy to make it at home, I'll readily order it here for take out! Love that an authentic Thai place has opened up in an area I frequent. I'll definitely make it a point to stop here when passing through Seaside. The Thai Iced Tea was delicious, which I've found not all Thai Iced Teas taste as good as this one. The lunch specials were also very reasonably priced. I'm thrilled they have brown rice too without an up charge. In addition to good food, our server was also very pleasant, informed and helpful. We'll be back again, and again, and again. read more

We thought we would try a new Thai place, so we went in and ordered. We waited, and waited, and waited, and everyone that came in after us got served before us, even the call ins got their orders before us. They said sorry but nothing else, no discount, nothin!! By the time we never finished it was almost 2 hours. They didn't really seem to care. We will never return, terrible management and customer service. Even the food wasn't that great.
