Smelled divine! Very accommodating and knowledgeable about gluten free and being on alert for other allergies. Food was great I had the hero roll and bought spicy eggplant for later but very good next day.

We got 8 rolls and liked all The atmosphere was good . It was a little chilly when I was there , but ok . A little surprising about the area , then again it is kinda turning into a tourist area. Quite little beach areas seem to any more. There was a bit of a wait time when you can't sit in the bar area, tho the service was pretty good once we got our table . Did not have my phone so no pics of the rolls . I.

Nice decor, excellent service, food came quickly (almost too quick), extensive menu. Deep fried items were a bit oily. Stir fry dish was a bit bland. This place has come a long way since we were last here. Dinner for 5 last night including sushi and thai dishes. The Som Tum papaya salad was nicely dressed but I didn't taste a lot of papaya in there. The sushi rolls were good with the exception of the deep-fried one, which tasted of frying oil (same was true of the spring rolls). The Kai Soi was the hit of the evening. The sauce/soup was delicious, the thai basil plentiful and the spices were perfect. My wife ordered the spicy eggplant stir-fry with pork, and she thought it was a bit bland. Seems to be one of those places where you have to learn what to order. Prices were reasonable, though if you order a couple of rolls, the tab can get high. Overall we were pleased with our experience and will be back as we are in town for a month.

First time here and the decor was really cute. Parking was limited and a bit tedious. We were told to sit anywhere and our order was taken, but service was slow overall. We had to wait quite a while for someone to come back, someone did towards the end but we needed a spice tray, more napkins and water during our dine in. The crab pad thai was watery and overly salty. The khao soi was served with lettuce, which was a first for us, it was okay but lacked flavor.

So happy to return here to check out the summer grand opening of their new sushi bar. Glad they were open till nine because we got there a little before 8 PM. The outside tables were packed with customers eating and the OG Thai side was full as well. My friend and I headed for the sushi bar because that's what we wanted to experience. The interior decor was striking with wall hangings that effortlessly conveyed the opulence of Thai art against the clean lines of the wood ceiling and walls. This artistry was carried through in the dishes that were served to us. Be began with craft cocktails by Jacob -- my favorite remains the Lotta Colada, but we also had the mule which was deliciously crisp (not at all the cloyingly sweet) and a summer botanical with Apperol and Japanese Roku gin. The floating violet bloom was a beautiful touch. We ordered the crab and cream cheese appetizer as well as several of the oyster shooters. The oysters were incredibly fresh and came in a special green sauce with a sprig of fresh mint that was unexpected but worth trying! We also ordered the Samurai roll which was shrimp tempura wrapped in layers of salmon and ahi, a deep fried roll called "I'm Hungry" that fit the bill and was my guest's favorite. We also caught site of a sushi boat going out and they permitted me to take a quick photo because it was so glorious... It included Salmon nigiri, but it was the beautiful rolls that caught our eye, especially the "crazy scallop roll" (that's actually its name) -- that's on our list for next visit. I ordered the tamer sister roll: the spicy scallop which was just what I wanted, and had the tobiko on top. Because we loved it loved it our time, we ordered the Thai Basil fried rice again, this time with fried Tofu as the protein; we tried to order the pumpkin curry again but it was sold out so we went with a new double curry dish with noodles. Can't remember the name but it was definitely a good choice. Despite how wonderful those dishes were, the best was yet to come. We had opportunity to meet the Baker, Jessica. We decided to order all three pie flavors, and we were not disappointed. Whatever you do leave room for dessert because each of these pies were distinctive and ridiculously delicious. The piecrust was perhaps perfect perfection. The staff were not only skillful but friendly. Jacob the bartender courteously took time to see how our drinks were, Sam make sure we were well served and several times we saw servers like Alison come by to see how our neighboring diners we're doing and if they needed anything else. Our own server, Honalee (?) was attentive and quick. Looking forward to joining the returning crowd to this amazing oasis of deliciousness on the coast.

Service with a smile. Didn't go inside...but the host outside made it pleasant. There used to be a pie place here before that was excellent...so I thought I'd try this new place for the pie. I was a bit skeptical because they do sushi and Thai. The pie was OK...but not like the place before. At $28 a pie it also seemed a bit pricey. Would be 3 1/2 stars if I could.

Lemon Grass chicken, tune sushi roll, Kao Soi curry noodle soup with tofu.

When it was Mighty Thai it was pretty good and locals like me were grateful to have a decent Asian restaurant in the 'hood. But with new management (?) they have really upped their game. The menu, quality and variety (Sushi at Thai restaurant....ok, why not, It's Manzanita, Jake), they've really upped their game. Happy Hour is gone but judging by the crowd at 5pm on Wednesday, they don't need it. It's very good. The dishes may have too many overlapping ingredients, as many Thai places do, but are done with skill and are very tasty. Their sushi is very good, the rolls at least. They're charging $12 for 2 pieces of nigiri, which would be a stretch at a "real" sushi restaurant so we haven't tried those yet. I"ll stick with the rolls for $12-18.for 8 pieces of very nicely prepared Rainbow and others. It's fresh-tasting and nicely prepared. The staff is friendly and their wine, beer and cider list is credible, if modest. This is a seriously good addition to the north coast Oregon food scene. By Manzanita standards it's a 5. Start serving banh mis with real Vietnamese-style French bread (Unlike just about every other place around here that seems to think Franz is fine) and you'd be a 6.

    Chicken pad Thai (soup?)

Pass on this place. Waited one hour for food. This is the chicken pad Thai. The sauce was almost a soup on the plate.

The food here was near perfection and warranted multiple visits in our 4-day stay in Astoria. The corn fritters were a great crunchy way to start the meal. Think fried creamed corn patties. The accompanying sauce tasted great and paired with the dunkable corn fritters they were a perfect appetizer. The fresh rolls, were just that, re-freshing. The peanut sauce was great. The chicken wings were fried perfectly, were crispy, and seasoned so wonderfully. I ordered these on each visit and enjoyed them every time. The Chicken Larb was good, not the best I've ever had, but very respectable. The chicken was not dried out, like a lot of places. The dish could have used a bit more spice and seasoning, but it was still very good. And lastly, the Shrimp Spicy Basil Stir Fry was delicious! It had perfectly sautéed shrimp, great spicy hot basil sauce, and vegetables that were fresh and delicious. It was so good and ate really well with. Just white rice. I can't wait to return to Astoria...I will definitely be back here every day they're open.

That said, I've eaten it ordered from ladies squatting next to rocket stoves on the street...and I want my Thai properly spiced, like my eyelids oughta sweat. American Thai food is adjusted to our tastebuds. So, I typically get it as hot as I can, and add my own chili dust. Folks, I have met my new go-to Thai! They offer spice levels one through five. I ordered it a six. The server told me she could adjust it up to a nine spice level, if I needed that. Um, no ma'am! Six is delightful! Phad Thai tends to accentuate the savory and sweet in most presentations. Not so, this savory, crunchy, tart, and fiery masterclass in Thai noodles! It was incredible. I cannot wait to go back and put myself at the mercy of their amazing presentations of what many will visually recognize as "Thai"......but your tastebuds are in for a treat! This is a destination food truck, people! Wow. I decided, on the strength of the Phad Thai, I should taste the Thom Kha Gai I ordered before I chilled it for my intended lunch tomorrow...... Yeah, so Dee Dee has spice DOWN! Her food also has the delightful flavor layering I love most in really good SE Asian food. The mushrooms in the soup? Buttery, and perfectly cooked. A delightful springiness. The tomatoes are bright and soft. The onions still have body, and onion flavor........and there's a lot of lemongrass and galangal floating around in there! Like the other entree, the Thom Kha is super special. I'm so glad this is a local option for me......my belly has a delightful burn, my lips are only slightly numb, and I'm really content with my Thai tea and mango juice. Love this place already.
