Went in on a weeknight, wasn't super busy. Ordered the usual (chicken pad Thai for me), three other friends ordered other things. What? Idk...but it took a LONG time for us to get anything. Almost half an hour for the first plates to come out. The other two came out five minutes, and ten minutes later. Yep. They served our food at different times. That's a little odd. We tried to wait but our food was getting cold while waiting for others goods. If it's not all ready at the same time, it should stay in the kitchen til it is. How did it taste? I'm an avid Thai food eater, and this was hands down one of the worst meals I've ever had. Also, I am not the type to leave terrible reviews. The Nam Sod was lukewarm with wilted lettuce, the Panang was inedible and spiced completely wrong, and the Tom Ka was also lukewarm and flavorless. Nothing about this meal was enjoyable. Absolute trash. I have no idea how this place is still in business. This was a takeout order but I doubt any level of ambiance could have salvaged this deplorable food. This is honestly the worst Thai food I have ever had, and I eat it almost weekly. Everything there felt so dirty and grimy and service was very slow. I ordered a side salad with peanut sauce and it was all browning iceberg lettuce with the grittiest peanut sauce I have ever tasted. Then out came the Volcano chicken, which I have ordered many times other places. It was so gross and literally swimming in a pool of oil that tasted really rancid. I've lived here for five years and driven past Thai Nana many times last night when I was on Google and asked for Thai food near me Thai Nana popped up. I ordered and hope that it would be good because you never can tell these days. I drove to pick up my food, brought it home and it was so delicious. I ordered Tom Kha soup and Shrimp Thai fried rice pleasantly impressed with the quality of food and the service. Ignore the foodie snobs. This the best Asian food in Palm Harbor. After trying their offerings, you'll never return to the atypical Chinese food places you've been used to that churn out run of the mill typical fare. The surroundings are unassuming but don't let that throw you. It adds to the charm. You're not there for the decor or work for Architectural Digest. You're there for the food. In hindsight, I hope they don't change a thing. The noodles were excellent. The won ton soup isn't the typical you've had at 1000 other places. The cashew chicken was bountiful and flavorful. Took over a half hour to get two microscopic spicy tuna hand rolls @ $8 a piece. Never received the other roll we ordered. Asked for water twice. No napkins or silverware on the table. I love supporting small, local businesses so was excited to give this place a try. I like that you can order food direct through their website without needing a delivery app that hikes up the cost. I was disappointed that they didn't have a veggie or tofu option for all the meals though. And when I went to pick up my order, there were two other people who seemed to be waiting on pick up but no employee to ask so I just waited until someone finally walked over to acknowledge me. When I finally got the food, it was packaged poorly so the sauce spilled all over the bag. I was excited to try the crab rangoon with curry but it wasn't all that exciting. But the food spoke for itself: I ordered the basic pad Thai lunch special and I have never had pad Thai that I couldn't eat, no matter how basic or unauthentic it was. There were a bunch of huge pieces of burnt ... residual food? Wok coating? Idk WHAT it was (definitely not sprinkled in spices) but it was all throughout the pad Thai and coupled with the overly sweet flavor? I couldn't stomach more than a few bites. I love trying Thai restaurants. This one in Palm Harbor was very, very good. Two of us went for lunch. The waitress did an excellent job taking care of us. We ordered a dumpling appetizer that was extremely tasty & satisfying. The plate came with 5 dumplings & a wonderful dipping sauce. For my entree I ordered Panang Curry Chicken. The flavor was outstanding. The serving totally filled the plate. If I had one complaint it would be to use a bigger plate. Since the serving filled this plate that was used, every time I put my fork into the food, part of the nearby food would spill out over the place's edge. A slightly bigger plate would have been ideal. The serving size was excellent for lunch, the flavors were spot on, & the price was reasonable. read more

So tired of the inconsistency. The service is rarely good. This time I paid $11.95 for a large container of Chicken Rice soup with barely any chicken. I could have made garlic rice at home for cheaper!! Now the flavor is different. It tasted a bit sweet rather than the garlic taste I have come to love. In addition, I called ahead to an empty restaurant with only one table seated and still I waited 15 minutes and rang the bell three times and eventually someone came out. No more Thai Nana for me. First timer!! For those who don't stick around for my long, nerdy, foodie reviews- I would eat here again. Don't pass this place up! We started with spring rolls (3 to an order) and they were great. I had wonton soup which was delicious and full of flavor. Wasn't my favorite, but still good! On Tuesday's, Thai Nana has buy one sushi get one half off, which you have to order a specialty roll and you get a Makimono roll for half price. Apparently the sushi chef left early so no specialty rolls were available. Since we now were craving sushi, we ordered a Mexican roll and a spicy tuna roll - both awesome! Main courses of the night- chicken pad sew ew, beef fried rice, shrimp fried rice and chicken red curry. Our absolute favorite Thai restaurant in the area. We've been eating here for over 23 years and have never had a bad experience. The food is always high quality, fresh and expertly prepared. Our favorites include any of the soups on the menu, dumplings and Pad Thai. We also love the Panang dishes with any meat or just vegetables. On our last visit, we enjoyed Panang with crispy duck, Panang with chicken and dumplings. The duck dish comes with soup as a bonus. Extremely good, as always. We would recommend Thai Nana to anyone and will continue to enjoy meals there on a regular basis. read more

I've eaten here a handful of times, and have always left with a stuffed belly and happy taste buds. What's good? An easier question would be, "What isn't good?" So far, everything I've tried has been super tasty. The pad Thai, wakame, tom yum soup and the spring rolls have all been well worth their weight in gold. The only thing thus far that I didn't really care for was the gyoza, and it's nobody's fault but my own. My personal preference is that they be steamed in a pan, as opposed to deep fried. Other than that, they were fine. What I really like about Thai Nana is the ability to choose your own spice destiny. Being able to order a dish and say "level one" or "level 5" on the spice-o-meter is a fan-freaking-tastic option. It comes in real handy when I don't want to share with my Chica. Just crank up the heat to level 5 and boom! It's all mine, baby! Only downside to this place is the servers. They're socially awkward millennial males that have absolutely no customer service skills. I got the Coconut milk soup with chicken in it. It was perfectly spicy. I also got the pad Thai. I judge a thai place by their pad thai, being one who's eaten street pad thai in Bangkok, but this was terrible. Dripping in sauce, weird eggs mixed in, not good at all- almost like they bought sauce off the shelf and dumped it in. My fiancé and her brother had the panang curry, also terrible. Pretty certain it's just paste and coconut cream, with overly cooked protein (as was mine). Other two dishes equally bad- bland and weird consistency. Every time I come in here, I find something new that I like. Whether it's a different kind of curry, a new soup, a different noodle dish, or even an entree, everything here is always very good. They have a consistent, great quality across all of their dishes here, and that's what makes them, I think, the best Thai restaurant in Northern Pinellas, maybe the whole county. The noodle dishes in particular are extremely tasty. The pad thai is the best I've had, and I've been to every thai place from Klosterman to Gulf to Bay. They recently changed the recipe and that change worked wonders. I would place their noodle dishes high above those of Amarit, another thai place with consistently good thai food. Their curry dishes as well are consistently good, and are always flavorful and spicy when you order it as such. The panang always has the right mix of coconut flavor as well. I honestly have no clue what some of the poor reviews are saying about this place. I live down the street in Ozona, come often for lunch and dinner, and have never had a poor experience, not once. Best Thai place in the area by far. Tl;dr: Thai Nana's consistency and quality combined make them the best in the area, hands-down. Also get a noodle dish. read more

I loved the apps but was not impressed with the entrees. Apps were dumplings and crab rangoon. Notice I didn't put a K there. Real crab and really delightful. The dumplings had incredible pork sausage in it. Very moist. I had pad wee sue she had the panang chicken. Both entrees were on the watery side. Not as robust flavors in the sauce either.
