Once we arrived to pick up the front end girl was extremely rude and then proceeded to do everything but my order. We came in on a lunch, and when we wanted to cancel the order because we couldn't wait anymore. At this point the order was placed 40minutes ago and I was met with more attitude, it's not their fault they don't set the pick up times, understood but you could communicate with the customer and/or your food order system that you can't keep up. Girl with glasses just fueled my coworkers anger, she handled it it with more attitude and talking over her instead of trying to solve anything noodle express just yelled louder. I've never even written a yelp review before but I have to because this place is literally where it's at if you want GOOD FRESH Thai food. In my opinion the Drunken Noodle is the best, full of veggies and thick-ass noodles with perfect sweet sauce and Thai basil. Crispy egg rolls are fresh and truly crunchy not soggy at all. The soups are all bomb, you can tell they put a lot of effort into making some quality nourishing broth. If you're sick or hungover, the chicken pho will have you feeling better in no time (with lots of sriracha). Stopped here for lunch, tiny place with seating for about 6 people. We ordered a bowl of the spicy tonkotsu ramen and drunken noodles. The drunken noodles were outstanding, took an order to my sister-in-law's and she devoured them as well. Ramen was tasty as well, but the noodles stole the show. This tiny little building in Placerville may not look like much but it's got some of the best tonkatsu ramen (the broth almost tastes like prosciutto). Don't be fooled by the Thai label, their non-Thai dishes are also fantastic. My mother had the spicy Thai noodle soup, and my sister had the pho (we've all been here more than once, and they're consistently delicious). We shared some gyoza as well, which was hot, crispy, and had the absolute best filling. Perfect on a cool day. It's a small place, but absolutely a fun time to sit at the table, and especially fun to sit at the bar facing the window outside and just people watch. Literally took an hour for me to get a bowl of Ramen. I went to the counter to ask for my money back and saw a bowl of Ramen sitting in the kitchen. I asked, "hey, is that my ramen?" "No, it's for someone else" "okay, can I just get my money back then?" "Actually yours is almost done!" And I don't know if they thought I couldn't see them or if they just didn't care, but I watched someone take the pork off of that bowl and replace it with chicken and then I was handed that very bowl. I left a review for Thai Noodle Express only 2 days ago. Haven't been able to stop thinking or talking about our meal. So stopped in for lunch to go today. Still standing strong with 5 stars. Today we left with Yellow Curry and Drunk Noodle. Yellow Curry was slightly spiced and slightly sweet, very nice (Did prefer the Massaman Curry from previous visit). Drunk Noodle was extremely flavorful, love the super wide noodle. Broccoli was tasty but not much of it. Happy to have a fast, fresh, flavorful Thai restaurant. I am picky when it comes to Thai food. I lived in Sacramento for years, where there were a billion options (and Chada Thai always reigned supreme). I was ecstatic to see a Thai place was opening in Placerville, but I tried to meter my expectations. That was unnecessary. This place is fantastic! I ordered chicken pad see ew, and my wife got chicken pad Thai. Both are full of flavor and avoid the common pitfall of being dry. The restaurant is small, and they still seem to be working out some kinks with communication. Those shortfalls are easy to look past when the food is so amazing. We'll definitely be going back!
