Came here for dinner on a Friday with a party of 8. We were seated pretty quickly, not too busy inside, but they seated us in the back room. I think they forgot about us as we had to go get them to take our order. Food was decent. We got the shrimp fried rice, garlic short ribs, bbq spare ribs, bbq chicken, chicken satay, and glass noodle salad. As a Thai person, I've had really good Thai food in Hollywood so my standards are a little higher. My party seemed to like the food though. Hey guys! Ended up in the Carson area today and started craving Thai Food & decided to pop in to this tiny tasty Thai treasure! Well unfortunately I came about 4pm & lunch had ended at 3pm, lunch specials are 1/2 price usually $7.95-$9.95. No worries... My waitress was so pleasant & attentive. Ordered the Shrimp Scampi ($12.95) & Thai tea. Very flavor comes with sauce on the side as well where you can drown your shrimp or fried rice in. Extremely rude. My dad had ordered glass noodles a while back and I wanted to try them again.. all I told the cashier was that I wanted glass noodles and he came out with a piping hot bag. I said I thought they were cold and after that his whole attitude got worse and worse. I left the untouched food there and they wouldn't switch it to the "glass noodle salad" so rude 0/10. First off let's start with the intimate bathroom experience you have in the men's bathroom. There's a chunk out of the wall that lets you observe anyone standing at the stall. Secondly the food was gross. It was bland, looked old and stale however it was warm... I was recommended to try the S-8... the beef was spongey and oddly pink. Even the water tasted funny. Lastly the location is run down. Was not thrilled at all. I should have listened to the ratings. Lesson learned. read more

They have went very downhill since before COVID. The customer service is horrible and the food is not good anymore. But the prices continue to rise as the quality continues to decline. They used to give you a lot of rice and meat and now it looks like someone ate a quarter of the rice in your plate before you even sit down to eat. The Sate chicken dinner sometimes has half cooked chicken sticks with burnt outsides. I used to love this place, been coming for 10+ years, even celebrated birthdays and graduations there. It's like cuddling in a delicious blanket of Pad Thai, BBQ Chicken, Spare Ribs, and Sa-te. This isn't your Michelin rated type of food, but rather the "go to" comfort food ready to pick up after work. The Sa-te is consistently savory at this location. Ask for an extra peanut sauce and you just upgraded that blanket to Egyptian down. As for the Pad Thai, there's a little bit of concern in that it usually tastes as if it were mass produced at the beginning of the day. This is definitely not one of the best Pad Thais you will ever taste. The S-1 or Chicken plate is also consistently BBQ'ed to a moist yet crispy texture. This is probably the most ordered meal for Thai BBQ and does not fail to satisfy. All in all, Thai BBQ Carson can definitely satisfy your hunger, but don't expect to be impressed by Michelin star quality. This used to be my favorite Thai BBQ place. I have not been there for the past few months, however, yesterday, while on my way home from work I thought to call in an order for pick up. I ordered my family's usual favorites, S1 and S2. I was so surprised that the Chicken BBQ was not as good as it used to be. It lacked flavors that it was known for. The Pork ribs BBQ was my husband's favorite, but it is also not as good anymore. Few years back, when you order for delivery or pick up, they do come with salad and salad dressing. But they stopped that. And I was fine with it because it was probably for the purpose of cost-cutting. But I hope they go back to making their foods flavorful again. Where do i begin, A few years ago this was the place to be. Went on a date? this place is awesome, it's your birthday? This is it. But how the mighty has fallen. This place is dirty, chairs had holes in them, everything is falling apart. We also could not find the health grade which im sure is illegal. The service is lackluster as well. The waitress almost seemed frustrated she had to explain what mammusan? or paanam was. The food also seemed bland I don't know if they switched chefs but the food is different. No flavor at all. I'm not sure about you but I like a little flavor in all aspects of life, especially in my food. The S-8 was burned and very gross. I thought if I masked it with the peanut sauce it would be tolerable. This was NOT the case. I only ate one piece. The rice and shrimp took about 3/4 of the plate. S-1 was better than the S-8, but Not what I expected, nothing spectacular or even memorable. The rice, oh the rice. How can one have such a bad experience with rice? Well in my case it was. It tasted as though there was too much fish oil in it. If I had taken a few pieces of shrimp out and placed it in a napkin to wipe it clean I might have eaten the shrimp. So has the bill came, I noticed it was about $72.00 for five of us. Sh*t, I thought. I'm taking it home. Maybe my dog will eat it. Hey a gal can hope,can't she? My friend just came back from Thailand and was raving about all their food, so the next day a few of my friends want Thai food. I wasn't impressed. The Pad Thai was OK. The fried rice I took a few bites and didn't want anymore. Meat was well seasoned. The service and the people that work here are what really bring this place down. The ladies working the counter rolled their eyes at us because we wanted extra sauce and decided later we wanted sodas. Then they don't bring out all the sodas and the different sauces we requested. I've always compared every thai spot to THIS ONE. What stands out the most is the popular S1 (half ckn w/ rice). THERE IS NO OTHER THAI RESTAURANT THAT CAN COMPARE TO THE CHICKEN HERE! They've mastered it. It's always fresh, has flavor, and never dried out. It comes w/ a special sauce which you MUST poor on the chicken and rice. Obviously I can't really explain it... you just have to try it for yourself. Every other place may have good noodles, rice, but for some reason the chicken has no love. Was here for the Father's Day that just passed, and enjoyed my S1. Drunken noodles were on point too. Would've given 5 stars but waited over 10 minutes to get a glass of water. The service was a bit disappointing. There were ants crawling around our booth. Sad to say that this Thai BBQ has FALLEN OFF... The S-1 was okay but I am used to the chicken having that nice glazed and crunchy outside. I've been coming here for many years and every visit would be very satisfying , it was our family go to Thai place. Today I came with my family and it was great seafood soup and noodles but the dishes had a bad smell and I ordered a Coke and it was filled with most gas than actual Coke which of I told the waiter and she said they were out. My grandma ordered a green tea and all she would smell would be the filth in the cup. The service was amazing when a Thai guy would work here now all these women give shitty service , foods amazing but filthy plates and no restocked beverages , time to change restaurants this is no longer my favorite. This place is alright. It's conveniently located off of Carson and Avalon which are two big main streets, so it's good for the locals. If you decide to eat in the restaurant, it's not all that. For some reason, the food tastes better when you order it to go. But, then again it's still not THE BOMB. They're not really that friendly, either. Terrible. The crispy duck and garlic ribs were deep fried until they were dark brown to almost char. Inedible. The Panang curry beef was watery and the beef was tough. The angel wings were pretty good but I won't be returning because the fact they served us plates of char goes to show that this place really doesn't give a F. I'm not gonna take another chance. The interior of the restaurant is pretty run down and looks like something out of the nineties. A scout ant came to our table to forage for food while we were dining. I order the SAME thing every single time I eat here: Thai Chicken Soup, Chicken Curry, and Thai Chicken Salad. I took 1.5 stars away because on more than 5 occasions I've had RUDE customer service (but I keep coming back because they have the best coconut soup). Other times, service was just OK. If you want the dishes spicy, then you might need to ask for it really spicy. THey don't give you the regular heat if you don't ask for it. This restaurant is probably the best Chain Thai food restaurant around. Possible the biggest in this area. Also in West Covina on Amar Rd and Chino Hills On Peyton Ave. If you are a beginner to THai Food definitely try the Phad Thai, Larb, BBQ Chicken or Ribs for starter and wash it down with a Thai Iced Tea for a sweet drink. When we're up for venturing out to Carson, we go here for Thai food. I usually get the Pad Thai, which is pretty good. I've had the shrimp salad here, and although I don't care for the lettuce (iceberg lettuce), I really like the shrimp and the peanut dressing it comes with. I tried a piece of the dearest crab. It was delicious! They blend crab, shrimp, chicken, pork together, bake it, and then bread and fry it. It reminds me of some Vietnamese dishes where you just puree/blend a bunch of different meats together and then bake it. My boyfriend is a fan of ther bbq pork ribs. read more

I came here on a Saturday for lunch with some family. I ordered the S6 which is two Wing of Angels, sweet and sour sauce with veggies, and shrimp fried rice. Now let me tell you this, I've only been here one other time and that was about 15ish years ago, but I remember it being a lot better back then than it is now. The wing of angel isn't anything special. It's a dry meatloaf that's been deep fried. Bland. The sweet and sour sauce actually gave it a little flavor. Not going to lie, I was a little scared trying to figure out what kind of meats were in that wing of angel... I have never been disappointed by this place's food. I always get their Pad See Ew, and it's always good. Last time I was here, I ordered the Pad see ew and my boyfriend got the beef satay with rice. Omg. The beef satay was amazing! It was tender and the sauce!! The sauce!!! I couldn't get over it. I wanted to just drink it! Idk what it is but it tasted like a peanut sauce to me.
