I'd been looking for a place that had delicious spicy basil fried rice since Zenna. This was it. I think I selected very hot - which was below "Thai hot" and it was definitely spicy. Ordered through Yelp, so all I had to do was get in the car and go pick up my order. It was ready when I got there, which is a plus considering Zenna always takes forever. One gripe was there wasn't enough meat in my food. As my homie would say, "They're stingy with the meat." Another gripe? 2 soy sauces and no fortune cookie. Look - don't laugh at me; other places have given me a fortune cookie. Anyway this food is delicious. According to different accounts, the food is better when eaten at the restaurant. I can believe that but I would not want to visit if the table service may or may not be on point. The location is clean and easy to locate and the next time I want Thai... This place is bangin'. I get the Yum Nua (beef salad) almost every week. Seems like it's the only place that actually grille their beef. Their Thai Pan Curry (yellow) is also excellent. read more

I'd go five-stars, but I think they need to serve alcohol to be a complete restaurant. That being said, they have everything else--great food, great service and attention to detail. All to-go orders are packaged carefully to avoid spills and leakage. Sometimes the spice levels can vary, but that's rarely a big issue. read more

Oh Thai Pan.. I wanted to like you but I cannot. My friend and I ordered panang curry and pad mee kow on our first visit. Panang curry was very heavy for me.. Perhaps due to the coconut milk so that didn't go so well. Neither did the pad mee kow.. Oh no. I found a short strand of hair stuck between my noodle. Perhaps it's an eyebrow hair. I'm not sure. Also, both of the dishes were too sweet for me. I hope I'm the only one who will suffer. read more

My husband took me here for lunch. We started with the Crab Cream Cheese rolls. I thought they were very good! My husband thought they were a little much with the cream cheese but he ate them! I had the Pad Prio Wan and I would defiantly order this again! It had pineapple, cucumber, carrots, tomato and bell peppers. It was a delicious combination of flavors. My husband had the Thia Pan Curry. His was also very flavorful and tasted delicious! We had the lunch portion and I left feeling stuffed! I can't imagine what the dinner portion looks like! A local business with friendly staff. They can pull off spice correctly and you will have 2-3 leftover meals from takeout. It's also extremely casual so I never feel under or over dressed when I dine in. Highly recommended! read more

Love the authentic hole in the wall feel of this place. Not much in the way of atmosphere, but the food more than makes up for that. I had the Satay appetizer, which was a great way to start my meal here. Kind of sweet, with a lot of heat, this grilled chicken skewer was perfectly cooked. They served a nice refreshing cucumber salad with that, a palate cleanser of sorts. Then I had the Lemongrass stirfry. Wow, the fragrant taste and aromas of lemongrass really made me fall in love with this spot. The nice lady running the whole show in the front gave me the green tea for free, and checked up several times, a great sign that they care about their business and their customers. One more note. The first thing that I noticed that put a smile on my face was the carefully cut vegetables. The carrots and cucumbers were cut to look like flowers, a very nice classical touch. Yippee!! A Thai place (a) near me (b) that doesn't overcharge!!! I'm so glad I searched Yelp and found this place. They beat the nearby competitors prices by a significant amount, so I took a gamble and went with this place. I'm so glad! I got the green curry chicken and good lord do they give you a lot of curry! I'm not one of those people that is always like omg this is so much food how will I ever possibly eat it all? But...seriously, the curry is a LOT. OF. FOOD. And really really delicious! Good spice, fresh veggies, plenty of chicken, and heats up even better the next day for leftovers. I've never ordered anything else, so I can't tell you about the rest of the menu, but try it! You won't regret it! Now if only y'all would deliver - if I'm too lazy to go out, Tiger Asian Bowl gets my business. read more

This little Thai restaurant is right around the corner from us. The food is fresh and tasty. For some reason when we order carry out it isn't as good as when we eat at the restaurant! So we try to eat there rather than carry out. Their pad that, red curry and fried rice are my go to dishes. The kiddo loves their spring rolls! Happy to have this place close by. read more

Absolutely horrible. My wife ordered a spicy Thai salad which consisted of a quartered head of iceberg lettuce with a handful of shreaded carrots thrown on top, and my seafood fried rice was a lukewarm plate of undercooked rice with some imitation crab meat and some frozen shrimp mixed together and shoved in the microwave. Trust me on this...stay home and order a pizza. read more

Loved this little Thai treat! We ordered spring rolls, pad Thai, and red curry. All were great! They have a 1-5 number system for spiciness. Holy moly a 5 is HOT! Next time I will go with a 4. Seriously though, these guys prepare some fantastic Thai food. It's cheap and BYOB too so bring in your fave bottle of wine to wash down this yummy Thai! We will def be back! read more

This was a disappointing experience. The Summer Rolls were 95% iceberg lettuce. When our entrees came out 2 minutes after we had ordered, I was not optimistic. The Pad Thai tasted like something out of a box mix. The pineapple fried rice was wet and undercooked. Service was subpar and unconcerned with the issues with the food. This was one of the worst Thai food experiences I've ever had. The service was amazing, but the food was just awful! The pad-see-ew was a soggy mess! I've never had this noodle dish prepared with a gravy-like consistency! There was no distinction between the overcooked noodles, broccoli, chicken, or eggs. Then there was the bland basil fried rice with chicken. They must've used too much water when cooking the rice because even that dish was soggy! The red snapper was okay, but I've had better at many other locations. At least the restaurant appeared clean and our waitress, Judy, was very sweet. I will not be eating there again. read more

Delicious Thai food for a reasonable price. What more could a college student ask for? I visited Thai Pan with a large party of people without a reservation; I was immediately given a good first impression when the waiting staff was able to seat and serve us promptly. I ordered the "famous" red curry with chicken. The red curry broth itself was extremely flavorful and, with a "medium" spice level, had just the right balance of heat. In addition, the chicken was very tender and tasted as though it were freshly butchered, unlike at many other Thai places. We were sort of rushed for time while dining here, and I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly and attentively the waiting staff served us. Unfortunately, that means I did not get a chance to sample any of their appetizers or deserts; however, I definitely anticipate coming back very soon to give them a try! read more

This was a very no frills type of restaurant. Coming from Chicago where awesome Asian restaurants come a dime a dozen, I haven't had much luck finding a non-bland Asian restaurant in Texas. I was very surprised to have stumbled upon Thai Pan, with their full of flavor Pad Prik Khing with chicken. It was chocked full of great spices- red curry, ginger, and various seasonings that exploded upon taste bud contact. I will visit again and try another dish! read more

I had high expectations when I came here because of the good ratings but ended up leaving disappointed. My Thai basil fried rice dish was half rice and half charcoal bits. I thought I could tolerate it but eventually the charcoal was all I could taste. Other than that, the dish was greasy and the tofu was way over cooked. read more

This place is awesome. My husband and I decided to eat here because of a Living Social voucher. Best Thai food I've had in DFW! AND it's BYOB. The prices are reasonable compared to other Thai restaurants in the area, and the food is authentically amazing. I had the green curry and the tom ka gai soup (sp?)...Delish with plenty of leftovers. And the server was extremely friendlly. My husband's only complaint was that he wished his meal was spicier. The restaurant is a bit on the small side, but it wasn't crowded. I've been to this place several times and never had a problem until last night. My daughter got some basil fried rice to go and when she got home to eat it the food tasted like the inside of a charcoal grill. You could even see black chunks where it looked like the cook scraped up the bottom of the pan where rice and other food had stuck to the grill. My favorite Thai place. All the menu items are excellent. If there is one drawback it is that everything on the menu, labeled or not, is fairly spicy. Personally, I love it, but sometimes friends that I bring here are less enthusiastic...more for me, I suppose. Been told by several Thai missionaries that I know that this place is legit as far as the spices and the food go. The curries are my favorites, especially the red curry and the panang. Pad ke mow is good and the spicy basil fried rice is worth it. The soups are the real winners. They are all good, but the family style po taek (seafood soup) is something special and I really don't like seafood that much. The crispy shrimp tasting rice things they put out for snacks are fun. Weird stinky fruit desert is actually quite yummy, but I can't remember the name. Service can be slow when they get busy, but they have never let me down. They do a nice take out business too, everything always well packed and ready on time. The one time they did not have my order ready when I got there they offered me a free beer at the bar, although I took a coke instead. read more

Tried this place, ordered salad roll which it was good. Also ordered the Pad Thai and it smelled like iron and tasted way spiced that I ordered. I'm not a stranger to Pad Thai, and usually order level 4, but this time I ordered level 2 and it tasted it spicier than most other places.
