I've come here 100+ times, starting in 2012. Overall, the food has had its ups and downs, but always been between 4-5 stars. I have two issues that people need to be aware of... things that could really upset customers. And, unfortunately we know friends that will not go back. Frankly, we are at about our end too. 1) They ask you if you would like a spice level 1-5, 5 being Thai Spice. However, sometimes a 4 will be a 1, and a 2 will be so hot the person who ordered it can't eat it. Today, I asked for a 3 so my wife could eat some of mine. It was prepared hotter than they have ever made it. I enjoyed it, but my wife was upset. 2) For take out, they add a 15% service fee to receipts over $20. While that is a new stated policy, they have also added it to under $20 takeout, and it's a policy that no other place near us uses. I will not pay 15% service fee, 9.25% tax, and 20% tip. I think that is way beyond prudent expectations. So, while we do still eat here. We have become vary wary and reduced our patronage to once every few months (as opposed to once a week) I do hope they turn their business around. (And I will adjust my review accordingly) read more

3 adults and 2 kids went for dinner Saturday. Our First time. They wanted to seat us right in kitchen area. But I said no because I don't like looking at that. So We then went to regular dining area and pulled up an extra chair. The food comes out and 6 year old and grandfather ordered same meal. The waitress gives the bigger portion to the 6 year old. Food is made to order so we all waited until next meal was prepared and then brought to table. Food is amazing and prices were good. They calculate tips on your receipt wrong (including tax). Wish I could give 3.5 stars. I've been three times now and the tables are sticky but the food is pretty good. I won't be back though - their health inspection ratings are historically a horrible score (in the 60s) followed shortly after by a reinspection that gets them back up to passing. That tells me they are routinely operating at subpar levels and only clean up when they get caught at inspection time. read more

The employee touched rice with bare hand when transferring freshly cooked rice to the rice cooker/warmer near the cashier. Took forever for them to give me a pickup order when all the food were already packed and sitting at the counter. I was here the other day to meet a friend for lunch. It was my first time here. The outside of the building is unassuming and modest. To be honest, after seeing it, I wasn't expecting a whole lot. When I went inside, I was pleasantly surprised at what a nice, homey, diner-y vibe there was. But when I tasted the food...man, oh, man, there was NOTHING unassuming or modest about it. This is some in-your-face deliciousness! I knew my friend was running a tad behind, and I was early, so I thought I'd have some Tom Yum to pass the time. This was probably the best Tom Yum with chicken I've had in the Middle Tennessee area. Just the right amount of heat, and the amount of chicken and mushrooms was more than I'd ever been served before in that soup. Wonderful! When my friend finally arrived I ordered summer rolls with shrimp for us to share. They were fresh and oh-em-gee good! I'm not much of a food photographer, but I wish I'd taken pictures to show just how humongous these summer rolls were. Larger than the largest Chinese egg rolls I've ever encountered, and chock-full of yummy goodness. The warm peanut sauce served with them was the perfect complement. My friend worried that he wouldn't be able to eat all his pad thai after having only half a summer roll. I told him he could take the rest home with him, and he said he'd never had leftover pad thai since he always finished it. He said it was very good. I had the the pad khing (ginger) with scallops with a level 3 heat. It was just the right spice level, and it was positively scrumptious! As it turns out, my friend and I BOTH needed take home boxes for our leftovers. A first for him, but de rigueur for me, since I always have to try at least one appetizer when I visit a restaurant for the first time. Our server was a really nice guy, and I wish I'd gotten his name so I could give him a special shout out. Tall, dark-haired, European accent. He was attentive and thoughtful, answered several of my questions before my friend arrived. He is definitely an asset to the restaurant. So, it took me an hour to get to the restaurant from my home near Clarksville, and of course it was an hour return trip. But you know what? I have been here several times in the last month and alway have a time deciding between the Drunken Noodles, Pad Thai or the Curry all are excellent here. I like the red curry with a bit of heat, though I have not yet tried the native level of heat...but I might go for that next time. Thai Curry done right has a refreshing balance of the heat to get the blood moving and the herbs that add the brightness, unique to most any other food type. While I did not get it this time, I usually order the Summer Roll for an appetizer - light & fresh!
