This place is soooo good ! It's a hidden gem really. The staff are great. The food is excellent. I got the red curry chicken and it was supreme !! The waitress was so sweet to me and even brought me out something to my car I left inside. They need to get their pot holes fixed in the parking lot but it's still a killer spot !

pad Thai mild spicy with a kick

Food was good fresh and tasty. Ordered on Uber for home deliver however I just moved and had no flatware and disappointed none provided. Make sure to request. Able to eat the spring rolls not the Pad Thai. Did taste it was spicy and yummy. Tomorrow for lunch.

The authenticity in this food is off the chart. Such a quaint spot but man does the flavor pack a punch!!!!! Everything I have tired was made with love Enjoy!!!!

This is all the onions. I like some onions but not that money!

See below ordered the curry and got onion soup! Way too many onions . Picture listed is all the onions taken out. Hardly anything else!

DO NOT EAT HERE! BUGS IN THE FOOD! Tonight I tried this restaurant for the first time and ordered the Tom Kha soup for take out. I found this cricket/roach/bug in my soup once I got home. I am absolutely disgusted.

This is probably our favorite Thai place. Been over a year since we have been able to eat there because they just recently reopened for dine in and we just live to far away for carry out. Everything we've had here has been good. I love their green papaya salad.

We go here all the time but this is my first time ordering sushi. Needless to say, I WILL be ordering it again and again!

I have no doubt that this place is going to become my prime spot in the Hermitage/Madison area for Thai Food! This is the real deal! Great menu which offers a lot of variety! You can everything from pad Thai to sushi to bubble tea. Friendly staff and great service! The Tom Kha soup was absolutely wonderful. Packed with flavor, rich, and mildly sweet. Green Curry. It was good! Tasted very "green" and earthy. Panang Duck. Nom nom! Large portion of duck fried(or steamed) to perfection, served on a bed of cabbage and smothered in panang curry! A must try if you like duck!

To follow up with you Richard. I noticed that Postmates doesn't do pickup with simply Thai. Can you aware that customers can only order delivery with Postmates? If so, that's okay.

From what I was aware of Postmates, Doordash, and for sure Grubhub uses us to deliver.

Is this business open for pickup via postmates? I don't mind calling to make my order. But that would be so much easier. Thanks

Yes we have Postmates, Doordash and grubhub that uses us.

Is Simply Thai still open? We've tried to go twice now for lunch and the door was locked and lights out. Mind you, we go right at 11 or shortly thereafter. Perhaps they need to change their hours to 11:30?

I drove by there Wednesday night 2/21/18 and they were open.

If you walk into a restaurant at 7pm on a Wednesday night and the place is fully packed and there…read moreare people waiting behind you to be sat, you KNOW you made the right decision to go there. We were greeted nicely by the hostess and waited roughly 5 minutes for a table to open up. A family of five came in right after us and decided to sit at the bar to eat. I knew in my heart that this was the best place to go to for my husband's birthday dinner. We sat on some barstools while we waited, discussing the hockey game playing on the tv behind the bar. I loved the low ambient lighting that spread across the ceiling. Our waitress was nice but she never gave us her name so I unfortunately can't shout her out. She gave us recommendations so I ended up taking one of hers. Now, if you have read my Thai restaurant reviews, you know by now that I judge a Thai restaurant by ordering their Pad Thai the first visit, however, I broke that rule because I just KNEW this place was going to be good. We ordered the Tom Kha soup with chicken, Pad Kee Mao with chicken, I ordered the Khao Soi Gai (it comes with chicken, no substitutions), and one Thai iced tea. You guys. When the Tom Kha soup touched my lips, I was SO excited to get the main course! It was made PERFECTLY. I haven't had true Tom Kha since probably when I lived in California over a decade ago. The Thai tea was strong and delicious, exactly how it should be made. The Khao Soi Gai...that first sip of the curry broth nearly made me go Meg Ryan-mode in the restaurant. If you know, you know. "I'll have what she's having!" Our waitress recommended this dish and I'm so glad I was adventurous and tried something different outside of my "I'll judge you based off of your Pad Thai" attitude. It was perfect and when I say perfect, I didn't even add lime juice to it because I didn't want to mess anything up with the flavor profile. Sure, lime could have added another element to the dish but when I say it was perfect the way it was, it's true. The night at Smiley would have ended perfectly if it weren't for the miserable couple who sat beside us discussing how unhappy they were in their marriage and decided to accept the waitstaff into their broken marriage by being completely rude. But the staff remained professional and kind through it all and I give them HUGE props for that because I was a moment away from telling that wretched couple off. In short, the staff here are wonderful, and the food is memorable, delectable, delicious, perfect...it's HEAVEN. We will DEFINITELY be back to try other menu items!

The fish is consistently exceptionally fresh, the presentation is beautiful, and the restaurant is spotless every time. The staff is warm, attentive, and efficient -- food comes out quickly whether you're enjoying a sit-down dinner or stopping in on a tight schedule. Must-tries: * Avocado Bomb -- unique, stunning, and packed with flavor. * Tuna Lover Roll -- pro tip: ask for the crispy fried scallions (not listed anymore, but they'll add them if you ask -- and it takes the roll to the next level!). * Yellowtail Hamachi -- fresh, clean, and melt-in-your-mouth perfect. They also have fantastic lunch bento boxes -- ideal if you want a little bit of everything. Options like bulgogi, katsu, and chicken teriyaki make it easy to get a balanced, filling lunch on the go without sacrificing quality or flavor. Pricing is very fair for the quality -- not the cheapest spot in town, but you absolutely get what you pay for: premium ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and a consistently great dining experience. The interior was really neat, I couldn't figure out what was here before or if this was an original build...but the rocks, brick, and wood was cozy. It had the vibes of a bathhouse but this could have easily been a bbq or pizza joint in the past...or neither...or both. I have no idea but I loved how unique it was. Our waitress was calm and quiet, I don't know if she wanted to be there but she was attentive and nice. We went at 11:30am on Memorial Day right after they opened. It was an all-day dinner menu due to the holiday which was fine by us. It is $29.95/pp for the dinner menu. There were a lot of booths already taken but the restaurant wasn't super busy. When ordering, you tell your waiter what you want each round. We never had any issues with waiting for ours to come back to order more food and our drinks were always filled. For all you can eat sushi, this was pretty decent and the fish was fresh. The kitchen menu items were okay. The gyoza was really good and the pad Thai was alright, very mediocre but still good, just not authentic (I've never seen lemon with pad Thai, only lime). My husband ordered the hibachi chicken and it only came with chicken, no rice. The miso soup was flavorless. For the sushi, everything we had was really good and I especially enjoyed the Pac-Man roll and the Out of Control roll. Do beware that most of the rolls at Sushi Kingdom come with cream cheese, which I feel most AYCE sushi places add this abomination to their rolls. However, we enjoyed all of our rolls even if some had cream cheese. Their sashimi came in large slices so that was really nice! You get 10 pieces of sashimi per person, any more than that and it's $1 up-charge per order. Overall, Sushi Kingdom is pretty solid if you're looking more for quantity over quality. If we weren't 40 minutes away, I'd consider coming back. Food- 7/10 Service- 10/10

This is a no-frills, smaller restaurant inside a strip of stores in a questionable-looking area of town. As I parked the car, I thought twice about actually going in, but based on the Yelp reviews, I decided to give it a try. It was clean inside, and, as I mentioned, the service and staff were 5-star! My food was where it went wrong for me. I started with the summer rolls (the ones in rice paper); they serve sushi and Thai food here. I have been craving summer rolls; I love the freshness of the mint and herbs, combined with crunchy peanuts and peanut sauce. However, that fell short for me here. The peanut sauce was reddish and tasted more like ketchup, so that was a letdown. No little peanuts anywhere in the sauce or on the plate. It was jam-packed with iceberg lettuce, which you would typically put on a Taco, so it wasn't very fresh-tasting, and it contained the tiniest piece of shrimp I've ever seen inside. Following my gut, I decided not to order my usual sushi selection, which is always raw, unfried, and unsauced. However, I decided to play it safe, so I opted for a Mexican roll instead. I asked for no eel sauce, but I should have also specified that I wanted spicy mayo on the side. It covered my roll, and I had to use a napkin to remove what I could. This is usually a roll that is around $6 to $10, but for some reason, they were charging $14. They made the rolls bigger, but not by filling them with more shrimp, avocado, etc.; instead, they added more rice. This may be someone's cup of tea, but it wasn't mine, and I won't be back, but wish them the best!
