Paid for my food. Couldn't in good faith eat the food without doing some digging. Found the reviews about roaches in food and food poisoning and wasn't shocked at all. Threw out the food immediately. Current health inspection is up to 94 from 83 which sounds good, but they still got dinged for roach sightings and other important cleanliness issues. I would be inclined to believe that they shaped up for inspection and went back to their old ways. Seriously avoid. read more

The honey packets they sent were solid not liquid. Called restaurant and they said they didn't have a sushi chef tonight so no sushi. While waiting for food to be prepared, I was watching roaches scatter across the floor around their drink cooler. Mind you this is also the dining room. The reviews of this place are real with the bugs etc. Not a clean place and I felt dirty being there. I got some food to go- a Tom Kha soup and a beef and shrimp fried rice. While waiting, I noticed the place was a little run down and there was a puddle of water where I was sitting. I didn't think too much of it because in my experience, looks can be deceiving. I've had some of the best food in the back of grocery stores! :) Anyway, I got home to find the food nice and hot. I had the soup first and it had a very coconut taste. Some other soups I've had have had a strong lime taste...I was hoping for something in between. I wouldn't get that again. The fried rice was mushy but had a lot of big shrimp. Unfortunately, the texture of the rice made it hard to enjoy the possibly good flavor it may have had. I don't think I'll be back. read more

Update: We have not been to this restaurant for several months now. As their sanitary scores have sunk, with each visit, and looking at the dirty fish tank by the door, we know if the fish aren't clean, nothing else is, either. As of today's update, the sanitary score is 83%. This is amongst the lowest I have seen. We are choosing our own health and safety over returning to this restaurant. I am surprised they are still in business at this point. ############ Prior review: Since this place has gone under new ownership and as time has passed, they have done a lot to enhance their offerings. So I pass by this restaurant all the time, just never stopped because it's usually really crowded with a tiny parking lot. Tonight I decided to try it, I didn't read the reviews before ordering, if I would have I probably wouldn't have went. My fiancé went in to get our to go order and saw a roach on the wall... the food had already been paid for, $60 so we chanced it. I checked all the food when we got home and no roaches were in it. I know restaurants have them, but it's one of those don't see it and it won't hurt me kind of deals. We ordered two orders of crab delight, husband and wife roll, chicken pad Thai, and spicy bangkok beef. The food wasn't really worth the price though. The crab delights were way too sweet, it was like eating a dessert, the sauce couldn't even save it. The husband and wife roll was alright, not the greatest sushi I have had, plus it wasn't rolled well. It kind of was shaped like a burrito instead of a cylinder like most rolls are. The pad Thai was the blandest pad Thai I have ever had, the sauce had no flavor, all I could taste was noodles and they were stingy with the chicken. The highlight of the meal was the spicy bangkok beef, I should have ordered it spicier but it was really good. It made up for some of the food lacking. The prices on the food are extremely high, if you want fried rice instead of jasmine it's a 6 dollar up charge!! 3 for sticky rice. Beyond crazy up charges. I overall could never recommend this place, the prices, the bland food and the roaches make this a no go. This time, I got mine in a styrofoam takeout cup. I could tell by taking the first couple sips that the flavor was good, but it was blended with ice and very chunky. The food did not looked like it was cared for. I had the Pad Kee Mao and it came lukewarm. The service was slow. The inside is dark and musty. It is a log cabin with various pieces of art from many Asian cultures. The bathrooms are icky and the toilet seat was broken. I can't recommend you go here. read more

Thanks again Teng, for included those of us who LOVE food but can hardly eat much of it due to dietary restrictions. I was initially disappointed after sitting down with the menu here. I had been told over the phone that I would be able to order Drunken Noodles gluten-free (among a bunch of other things). But when I got there, I was told that I shouldn't have the Drunken Noodles because it wouldn't taste the same because the only thing they could add to flavor it would be gf soy sauce because the usual stuff has gluten. This is weird to me because I don't understand how the other ingredients could contain gluten. Fish sauce, soy sauce and noodles are usually the problems. They have rice noodles and GF soy sauce. It made me wonder if they actually knew what gluten was. She directed me to the curries and said those would be safe - well, if those are safe than their fish sauce has to be safe because it's used in curry. So WHY couldn't I have Drunken Noodles? Anyway- I have only ever had yellow curry before but this wasn't on the menu. I don't like spicy and I wanted a bright, clean, sweet flavor. So I ordered the green curry, mild. My curry came and it was BEAUTIFUL! It was the prettiest shade of green and if I can figure out how to add a picture, I will! The flavor was divine. The vegetables were crisp and flavorful (my favorite is the basil). I was so sad that we were only staying overnight in a hotel and couldn't bring my leftovers back with me. The guy at the table behind us ordered fried rice and it came INSIDE A FREAKING PINEAPPLE HALF. Marry me pineapple fried rice! Now! I would have ordered that if I could! Rating this place was a bit difficult. I feel like with the confusion over which menu items were safe would earn it 3, but the FLAVOR was outstanding and gosh o golly- it's an Asian place going out of its way at assist us GF-ers which is SO appreciated and SO amazing.
