It was my first time eating at this restaurant and I highly recommend it. The service is phenomenal, our server was attentive and provided us with water whenever we needed it. The place was warm, clean and cozy. The food was delicious and enough that it lasted me to the next day! I had the panang curry and it was the perfect level of spicy and sweet. I would come back again!

Pad Kee Mao

What an improvement! I used to live in the neighborhood and wasn't that impressed so I used to drive miles to get good Thai food. Tried them again recently and I'm so impressed! They have completely upped their game! After getting my hair done a few doors down, I decided to pick up dinner so that I didn't have to cook in this heat. The Pad Kee Mao was fabulous! It's one of my favorite dishes and I can't believe that I've been searching and driving all over Portland to find a version of this very common dish that's better than I make, and it's right here on NE Broadway! The wide rice noodles are stir fried with onion, peppers, fresh basil and egg. A symphony of flavors plus some heat. After that, I had to come back and try some other dishes. They even have Pad Woon Sen, which not many Thai restaurants have in the menu. It's a stir fry noodle dish made with thin mung bean noodles along with carrots, green onions, cabbage, bell peppers and tomatoes. Another winner! The perfect balance and harmony of textures and flavors. The thin noodles are a refreshing change andthey are gluten free. Their Penang curry (with green beans and some heat) and Mussaman curry (with ground peanuts) are both fabulous. I'm so glad I decided to give Thai Pod another try. Definitely some of the best, most flavorful Thai food in Portland. Casual ambiance inside, bright colorful chairs and tables outside. Fun and festive vibe. Friendly service. Even though I don't live in Grant Park anymore, I'm over there most every day since I still go to the gym and run errands in this neighborhood. After 17 years, old habits hard to break! This is now on my weekly or biweekly rotation for when I don't feel like cooking and want a delicious and satisfying dinner. With leftovers for the next day!

Pad See Ew Egg Rolls Thai Ice Tea

My girlfriend and I both had pad see ew with chicken for dinner and it was delicious! I can honestly say this is one of the best pad see ew dishes I've ever had. The flavors were amazing. The portion was great for the price, too which is always nice haha we both only got about halfway through and had to take the rest home. It tasted just as great later in the evening as well. The egg rolls were really good too as well as the thai tea. Our server was incredibly nice and charismatic. I wish I had gotten his name, but he was really attentive and kind. The restaurant was really nice as well with plenty of seating.

Food is always spot on with huge portions. Lunch is a solid deal too. Nice people and always prompt on the orders. I come here once a week.

Shrimp

They don't de-vein or clean out their shrimp. Overall low quality food for the price you have to pay.

What a great find on Broadway. Nicest person ever greeted me and took my order. Veggie Pad Kee Mao was so delicious- excellent heat sauce to mix in that his aunt makes for the restaurant. Sat outside at ate it while also enjoying a Saint Simon coffee. Definitely recommend!

There is plenty of seating there and It looked like there was a space for live music and string lights - probably a fun spot to grab dinner in the evening. We came for lunch and ordered the chao mian with chicken (spicy) and bian bian noodles (spicy). The noodles are cooked to order and we were served quickly. The serving sizes are huge. Neither one of us could finish ours. We'll likely order one dish to split next time, and that'd still probably be more than enough. The flavor of the chao mian was a bit lackluster. It was savory with a soy sauce flavor base, but got a bit repetitive with each bite. It was decently spicy and texture was there with the veggies, but I wish there was a way to customize with more spice or vinegar to taste. The bian bian noodles were more flavorful and also spicier. Fun noodle texture. There are also other vendors in the garden so you can pair a dessert, drink, or side with your meal while staying in the same area. Overall, a filling meal for a good price! Would come again to try their beef noodle soup.

The beef brisket was delicious. Very flavorful and hearty. This is a must go for some good home cooked comfort noodle soup and congee. There are about 77 different types of wonton noodles soup and congee. Many different types of protein and you could definitely mix and match and share.

The portions were beyond generous, and each meal had nothing lacking. The meat in both dishes was tender and juicy, the noodles were cooked perfectly, soft but with a chew, and everything came out fast! The chicken noodle was more savory, and the japchae was a bit sweeter, but still standing with a savory component. We also ordered chicken dumplings and they were perfect. Crispy but nice on the inside, and whatever the sauce was that came with it is something I will continue to think about weekly. We were on vacation from the east coast and wish we found this place sooner in the trip. The restaurant is tiny and is all self serve, but the gentleman who brought out our dishes was very kind. We devoured everything and left no crumbs but the dishes I would likely gravitate back towards are the hand pulled noodles, wings, and actually the Mandoo! The hand pulled noodles were coated nicely with a spicy sauce and had a great chew to them. I loved the thickness of the noodles and added crunch from the cabbage and other veggies. Half sweet and half spicy for the wings was the way to go - each wing was doused in sauce and sesame seeds but still maintained its crunch. As someone that doesn't usually like wings, these were fantastic. Lastly, the Mandoo surprised me! It was the sauce that sealed the deal. It was like a thousand island, poppy seed kind of dressing that worked very well. I couldn't stop eating them. If you're looking for authentic Korean food, this is the place!
