My coworkers and I stopped in here for dinner while in town for work. Our host/server was an older gentleman who was very kind and just the right amount of attentive! I ordered the Lemongrass Specialty with chicken, which was so flavorful but not too heavy. The plate came with the entree, a side of white rice, and a pineapple quarter that was carved in a fun way! The presentation alone was awesome, and the food was great too! I finished my meal with some coconut ice cream, which again was so flavorful but not heavy. I left feeling satisfied and very content! Came in yesterday for a quick yummy lunch. I ordered the yellow curry and a hibiscus tea. The waitress brought a vegetable soup with crisps. The tea was great! Only down fall was I received a meal that I did not order... it had a chicken/rice/ vegetable mix in a wonton bowl. I went ahead and ate it not sure if it was just a different version of their yellow curry... when I was almost done eating the waiter came up and said you realize that's not the yellow curry you ordered.. I said I was wondering and thinking it wasn't... he made no offer to bring me the curry I had ordered. I really wanted it .... This place is a rip-off, they put 21% tip for a family of 2 adults and 2 kids plus credit card fees, the food tasted really bad and was very overpriced. They also make you pay an extra $4 if you plan on sharing food. If you wanted to change your protein that came with the meal, they also charged you (overpriced for beef and shrimp). We ordered green curry and it tasted nothing like it. The Penang curry was tasteless. This is the worst Thai food I have ever eaten in my life. read more

Guys. Go here. We left the beach late and needed some where open late and as a vegan I begged for this option rather than another veggie burger. I promise you, vegan or meat eater, you will not be disappointed! The chef, Penne, is so incredibly nice and the waiter we had was so kind as well! The food was so good so flavorful and even my steak and potatoes farm raised dad loved the Penang Curry. The plates were beautiful and tasted even better than they looked somehow! They are all vegan which is awesome. Presentation is awesome. Location is awesome. But the best part is how delicious the food is! I ordered the curry, which came in a coconut and looked great. I felt like the cool kid in the cafeteria because people were coming up and asking what is ordered because it looked so good. Now I've lived across the world and am fairly well traveled. Oh I've also lived in Thailand and let me say this was one of the best curries I've ever had! I'd asked for spicy which they more than deliveried, the veggies were plentiful and delicious, the tofu a great consistency. Overall, if you are in the area, you MUST come here! Great, tasty, satisfying Thai Food. This was our first place we visited to eat during our stay in Corpus and we were not disappointed. We ordered the Panang Curry which came inside of a coconut! The coconut was stuffed with delicious, well cooked, steaky beef with of course, a bunch of that creamy, spicy, sweet curry magic. So good. We also ordered of course, the Pad Thai. I've eaten Pad Thai at dozens and dozens of Thai restaurants around the US; this Pad Thai was definitely in the top 5. It was a little sweeter than most, but the saltiness and the spiciness balanced it out very well. The service was very good. Our server and the owner were very kind and hospitable. We will definitely be stopping by for any future trips to Corpus. read more

NOT RECOMMENDED! We are great fans of quality Thai food and have had it all over the country. It was Christmas day and this was one of the few restaurants that was open. Big mistake! After a wait for 30 min, the food that arrived was disappointing. The fried rice was all show but no substance. Very bland and small portioned. The flounder and shrimp was slightly better but still unimpressibe. They charge 4$ if you share an entree! Yes that's very mean! But the worst part was when we got the bill! They force you to pay 20% tip included in the bill! That's outrageous! I have never seen it in hundreds of restaurants I have been in my life! It's too bad that Yelp doesn't allow me to give zero stars. I hope this place closes soon. read more

This location is on Waters not SPID.. First off the food is amazing. The presentation cannot be beat, and the owners are really nice. We dined in on a weekend afternoon and it was not busy which was lucky. We sat down and received our drinks quickly but the food did not arrive properly. When ordering I explained to our waiter that we wanted all the food at the same time. My boyfriend only wanted appetizers, and I ordered the chicken pad thai. 10 minutes later my boyfriends food came out and 20 minutes after he was done eating my food arrived. I specifically asked to bring the food out together so we could eat our meals and sample each others plates at the same time. That is why I took a star off. I have had experiences where the food was excellent in presentation but the tasted average. But not this place. I ordered Green curry and it came inside real coconut. And boy, you can even dig in and get the real coconut in your meal and not just the canned milk. Husband ordered Roti Canai and Chefs special Thai chicken. It was too good! We ended up savoring roti canai with the chicken. We are from Dallas and I will consider coming back to Corpus Christi only to eat here. Definitely recommend to any Thai food lover out there. Every single time I get food here the wait staff is absolutely the friendliest I have ever come across. The first time I tried Thai Spice, I ordered it to pick up. I ordered two pad thai and the portion was fuller than I had expected. The price is decent compared to my experience in Thai restaurants. The second time I tried Thai Spice I came in for a quick lunch on my own. They were extremely friendly and attentive. I felt immediately relaxed and at peace for the first time that extremely stressful day. I ordered the crispy rolls for an appetizer. The rolls were delicious but the sauce for them was on the spicy side. I love spicy so I appreciated it but someone that is more sensitive to hot food might be put off. For the entree, I got the chicken pad thai. I loved the plating and the options to put peanuts and spice in your meal. I also loved the fresh grapefruit to add acidity. I don't know what to say, this was the most perplexingly odd restaurant ever encountered. We loved the soups, we loved the curry, the rice was spot on perfect... but everything else was really odd. I had the red curry with shrimp, had to peel the shrimp myself, wasn't cooked and presented in the curry which missed on the flavor being imbued. But also that the curry vegetables weren't what one would expect. It was full of nightshade (toxic to digestion) vegetables (fruits actually) like tomatoes, green beans, squash, and potatoes? plus diced carrots (not shredded or shaved). Just not what you expect when digging into curry to get tomatoes, green beans, squash and potatoes? All thickly stuffed into a coconut shell so you really can't even get a spoonful of curry, because it's just what's wetting the vegetable packed coconut shell. I would think for Thai food you'd find instead broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, scallions, lemon grass ... all healthy for the digestion, so I hardly ate any of my vegetables, being almost entirely nightshade veggies. My wife's lamb was served with a delicious sauce, but the lamb itself on the bone was completely unseasoned, and she loves lamb but found this unappetizing, like my shrimp was cooked separately from any sauce.
