Beautiful singing on Saturday night to accompany your dining pleasure. Gyoza is delicious prepared perfectly. The server we had was Chad and he was helpful with his suggestions, and very friendly. The restaurant appears small but extends to another dining room which I did not see. A little dark but well designed to reflect the Thai abidance. My wife had the grilled fish and raved about it while I had the sweet and sour pork which was very good. For dessert I suggest the tresleche which is excellent and better than most I have had.

This restaurant has received multiple dining awards and was recommended by my hotel. It is a fairly large restaurant but it is divided into quiet and intimate areas The fish tanks and soft lighting give a peaceful vibe. Service is friendly and helpful. I started with an Absolut Mango Martini. Since it was rather cool outside, I warmed up with the Tom Ka Chicken Soup. The entree was Three Buddies: Jumbo Shrimp, Scallops and Chicken. Everything had wonderful flavors, so it is easy to see why Thai Spice has received multiple dining awards.

My how the mighty have fallen. Thai Spice used to be the spot -- my favorite restaurant in all of South Florida. The food? Out-freaking-standing. The staff? Friendly. The vibe? The kind that makes you want to stay for dessert even when you're full. But apparently 2025 Thai Spice is playing a different game. Let's start at the beginning -- because this story deserves the full intro. My wife bought a Groupon. No big deal. We even read the fine print like responsible adults. It clearly said the blackout dates were for holiday season 2024. Well, spoiler alert: last I checked, it's 2025, so we should've been golden. Fast-forward to us driving 40 minutes (that's 40 minutes of my wife telling me how hungry she is -- so, like, 3 hours in husband time). We walk up to the door and... there it is. A sign taped to the front like a ransom letter: "Blackout dates this week." Excuse me? We ask the hostess. She shrugs. We ask the manager. He basically shrugs harder. We show them the Groupon page. They tell us it's Groupon's problem, not theirs. The restaurant was practically empty, but the vibe at the host stand was: "Pay full price or get out. We're not in the mood." My wife was livid. And rightfully so. But I love this restaurant -- or at least I used to -- so we stayed. Against her better judgment and my growing sense of dread. And then... Logan. Our waiter. The hero Thai Spice doesn't deserve, but the hero we needed. Logan deserves his own Yelp category. He was fantastic -- genuinely friendly, attentive, fast, and the exact opposite of the combative manager. If Logan ran this place, I'd probably buy a season pass. He smiled. He hustled. He cared. Honestly, he alone kept this from being a one-star "I'm typing this while fuming in my car" kind of review. Now the food: * Mee Krob: disappointing. Dry, with the proteins hiding like they owed someone money. * Wife's Panang curry: phenomenal. Bursting with flavor. Chicken was perfect. Veggies were supporting actors but deserved Oscar consideration. * My New York steak: I like it very rare, and Logan made sure it came out exactly right. The sauce was so good I briefly considered licking the plate, but my wife was already mad enough. And here's where the restaurant really shot themselves in the foot: Because of the rude treatment at the door, we trimmed back our entire order. I downgraded from the cowboy ribeye. My wife scaled down her dish. We skipped an appetizer, skipped drinks, skipped dessert -- basically cut the bill in half. Even with all that, our total was still over $110. Had they honored the Groupon, we probably would've spent closer to $200. And I've recommended Thai Spice to countless friends and colleagues over the years -- but after this? Yeah... that ends today. The food is still great. Logan is a rock star. But management? Uncaring, abrasive, and completely uninterested in customer service. It drags the whole experience down like an anchor tied to an anvil tied to a bowling ball. Three stars. Would've been five. But management earns the drop all by themselves. Logan, buddy -- you deserved better too.

Food: some of the best Thai food I've had in south Florida area. That whole fish with the signature chili sauce..... wowwww. And the steak? Marinated and dry aged?! Delicious. Service: really attentive. They do try to upsell you quite a bit though. For example they asked if we wanted fried rice after saying the dish came with white rice. We said yes thinking it was a replacement. But it ended up being a full order of fried rice. We ate it though and it was delicious and fresh and hot! Ambiance: dark and moody! Some of the booths had a candle lit overhead light which I'm sensitive to the flickering so they were able to move us.

This location is a hidden gem on Commercial Blvd a few blocks before Federal Highway. It's located in a strip mall setting. Parking can be hard to find during the lunch rush. Mid size fine dining. The food was awesome. I had chicken and shrimp pad thai Chef's Kiss! Service was mediocre. If the service was better I would definitely give a 4.

Did a group on order $27 spent for $50 worth of food Spent another $40 with tip for extra add ons What was ordered Crab these were absolutely delicious very gooey and rolled up like gyozas. Wish there was a little bit more filling in some of them. They were a bit empty but nonetheless yummy! It comes with two sauces. The orange sauce was an absolute hit. I ended up saving it at my table to dip my chicken from my soup in it. Ordered the Tom Kah chicken soup Was spicy Chicken was bland as it was boiled. But I added that duck sauce and it was so good. Had lots of veggie was hearty Ordered the beef salad and that was sent back The meat tasted weird and come to find out it was fish sauce. It wasn't for us at all. Ordered the veggie coconut curry Had great flavor a little spicy Came with a small side of rice and a big bowl of curry. Had a lot of red peppers... a little more then my liking Took it home and added more veggies and it was good. The server pushed a little into buying the tiki tiki drink. It was a miss for us and at our cost :/ left it behind The host was a little slow in greeting us... I was standing there and finally I had to ask him " do I speak with you about my reservation?" The server was cool but she was a bit intense and wanted to go over the menu when we wanted to just look through at our leisure. She pushed us to buy a drink and didn't hear out what we liked she was just repeating her everyday lines it felt and she did the same thing with the soup... she pushed the most expensive soup that had lots of seafood and I didn't want that. But she never mentioned any other soup so when I noticed they had more options it was awkward when I ordered it. There was a big disconnect that night and it really just set the pace for us getting the rest of our meal to go. Just wasn't worth sitting there. The atmosphere is cute Lots of fish tanks Dark and romantic But loud unfortunately Expensive but I feel like you can get this from any other restaurant. The only great thing on the menu was the crab Rangoon honestly left an impression. Outside that everything was just okay. Not a great first experience and idk if I'll go back to be honest.

I have seen this place a million times and finally decided to go in and have dinner by myself. They open at 5pm and as I walked in everyone was so friendly. I say at the bar with Ray as the bartender, he was great I had a Thai tea and my favorite pad woonsen. I ordered medium spice and it was pretty spicy lol The meal was very large and delicious. Definitely enough for dinner tomorrow too. I asked to see the dessert menu and be brought out an entire tray normal dessert except the cassava custard so I got that it was just sweet enough and delicious. The restaurant is beautiful deep red and black motif I wanted to look through the back rooms and see what they looked like but I forgot. It's a little pricy I think it's a great date place can't wait to take my daughter. Ray told me they've been open 35 years in this location. I highly recommended!

After a few years of hiatus, I ordered uber eats a week ago and then again tonight. They made huge improvement with their vegetable spring roll, huge difference..maybe a little too overstuffed with vegetables and not enough crunch. I'm happy regardless. When I placed my pickup order tonight the wait was a bit much but when I called they said they will call me as soon as it was which they did. I was waiting in my car. I asked for spicy and I got what I asked for. Vegetarian vegetable and tofu. Sooo good. I don't see myself dining in. The crowd is a bit stuck up and older for my taste.

Came here with a friend- highly recommended. Well- the owner- Michael- went above & beyond my expectations. I started out with grilled calamari- with a ponzu sauce & another spicy sauce. I explained I don't do well with spicy- & was told that the flavors can be made to order- mild- or hot! Fresh calamari- grilled to perfection. Delicious. Michael shared his special chicken wings with sesame- it was Amazing!!! My friend ordered the Delmonico Steak (ribeye ) looked like a huge portion. I had a taste- wow!!! Fabulous!!! Michael ordered the Grilled Salmon with teriyaki sauce- also tasted that & it was delicious. I ordered the pepper steak- sliced Fillet Mignon . Very tender & seasoned just right. Was pretty full at this point- then the dessert tray came out!!! I have no words-just look at this!!! You must try- we decided to share Cassava cake & a brownie with hazelnut gelato!!! I needed a double expresso after all that. I am now stuffed but definitely satisfied. I can see returning here often as the menu is very large & there are many choices!!! The chef- came out & I gave my compliments to him. Dennis knows his way around the kitchen. Excellent presentation on everything & you can see from the many pictures. There a 4 separate dining rooms here. Very intimate & inviting. With booths & tables. They have been around 34 yrs. It's obvious way!!!

Three of us enjoyed dinner at Thai Spice. The food is really very good (5 stars). There were some service irritants that lowered my rating to 4 stars. I always order Tom Yum soup when I visit a Thai restaurant and Thai Spice's is very good! It's not the best I've had, but it is good. Unfortunately our entrees came three minutes after our soup arrived and we weren't even half done. Then they kept trying to remove the soup bowls and we had to keep telling them that we weren't finished with the soup. It was frustrating. The wine pour is generous. My mixed vegetables with fried tofu was fresh and delicious. The vegetables were crunchy and the sauce was extremely good. The Pad Thai was spectacular and the portion large. The Beef Fried Rice was stellar. Again, a nice portion. A few more service issues - When the food arrives the server passes everything by the person sitting on the end of booth. This seemed a little rude. It was quite possible to pass things to the person further in the booth without bothering the outside guest. We didn't ask for our check but it was brought to us while we were still drinking and eating. It was a bit rushed. When we mentioned two separate checks, our server looked annoyed. Really? The food really was good, but for service, only 4 stars.

After reading the reviews I'm sure maybe it was just my taste buds but the flavors were a bit underwhelming for me. The interior is beautifully dim lite with surrounding fish tanks and the service was very attentive. I will give them another shot, but will be trying everything different

If you're driving a larger truck, be aware that parking is available but pretty tight. Once inside, we were warmly greeted by the host, who was incredibly friendly and escorted us to our table. Our waitress was just as wonderful--attentive, personable, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. There was music playing everyone there was enjoying themselves. Since it was Tuesday, we both ordered the all-you-can-eat fried catfish special for $21.99. They start you off with hush puppies and coleslaw, and when your meal arrives, you get your choice of a side. We both chose the fries. The portions were generous, with plenty of crispy fried catfish on the plate. The fish itself had great flavor, was perfectly crispy, and wasn't over-breaded. The hush puppies were delicious, and the French fries were cooked just right. My husband, who considers himself a bit of a coleslaw connoisseur, really enjoyed the coleslaw. I wasn't as impressed with it, but that's just my personal preference. My biggest disappointment was the tartar sauce. For a restaurant that's been around as long as Catfish Dewey's, I expected a homemade tartar sauce. Instead, it came in a pre-packaged container and tasted overwhelmingly of onion. Unfortunately, it just wasn't for me. If I were rating everything individually, I'd give the catfish a 7/10, the hush puppies an 8/10, the fries an 8/10, the coleslaw a 5/10, and the tartar sauce a 0/10. Overall, we enjoyed our visit, especially the friendly service and the crispy catfish. While it wasn't the best fried catfish we've had, it was still a good meal. As I always say, don't let my opinion make your decision. Everyone's taste is different, so go try it for yourself and form your own opinion. You might love it!
