Yellow Vegetable Curry
Gigi A.

We ordered takeout on Valentine's Day. I was really hoping we found a Thai place we liked here in A2. Unfortunately, everything we ordered was too sweet and greasy. We could not eat very much of it. The little we ate upset our stomachs. The basil fried rice was greasy and too salty. The green and yellow curry dishes were so greasy that they were not edible. Also, they were too sweet.

Ordered delivery here last week for the first time. I was intrigued by the curry pad thai, which was advertised as all the elements of a pad thai with a curry sauce. I liked the sound of that so I got that with chicken. But I'm not 100% sure that's what I got in my order? It was definitely a soupier sauce like the photos of curry pad thai I saw would suggest but it tasted more like a pad thai sauce and I picked up on absolutely no curry flavor. That said, the dish itself tasted pretty good. It just wasn't exactly what I was expecting. I had also ordered a boba smoothie but they canceled it since they were out of boba pearls. While I appreciated that they refunded me but I guess I would have liked them to check in with me to see if I had wanted to swap it for anything else? I was waffling between a boba and Thai iced tea and I would have totally gone with that instead. Not sure I'm in a hurry to order from here again but the prices were reasonable and they were SUPER quick on the delivery so it does have its pros that I could see giving into in the future.

Solid 4 stars for this spot: * service - a warm welcome upon arrival. Checkout guy at the counter even brought us pillows for the outdoor patio so we could sit comfortably outside. Now that's good service! * good prices, especially for the convenience. * food hit the spot. Mild/no spice still had a kick! Although I think this is more of a takeout spot, it could definitely use an interior cosmetic upgrade to elevate it to that 5-star status. It wouldn't take much and that would really set this place apart!

I've come here may times to grab quick bites and I was never disappointed. During my last Ann Arbor visit, I decided to order from here as it was one of favorite. Placed an order through yelp takeout and the order was ready on time. We ordered Spring rolls and Thai Curry Noodles this time. Thai Curry Noodles (Veg) will be one thing that I always order here but I wasn't really impressed this time. It missed the punch and could get the smell of fish sauce. They asked for spice level, I ordered it mild hot and wasn't sweating. I'm not sure if they changed their method of preparation, but the taste has changed after their renaming a few months ago. Spring rolls were pretty good though, crisp and tasted good. I'd get those again for sure. All of their dishes are shareable. I'm guessing some dishes they do really well and others maybe not as well. Don't set the highest of expectations, as you can see, it can be a little hit or miss. I will probably keep frequenting the other thai places in Canton since they're a lot closer to me.

Drunken noodles with vegetables. The medium is SPICY!

Eh... it's fine. I was spoiled working at a Thai restaurant as a kid and I have yet to meet drunken noodles that even remotely taste as good as what I remember. They said, Thai Spoon's drunken noodles are okay, not disgusting but not amazing. A bit greasy for my taste. The spice levels here seem to be inconsistent as I ordered mild plus and tasted literally no spice but medium burned my mouth. Granted, I'm not super daring with spice but can't figure out why the two levels were so incredibly different. The spring rolls taste good, but are also greasy. Service is friendly and efficient. The building is clean. I've been searching for the perfect drunken noodles for years and won't stop until I find them- if you know of a good spot, let me know!

Every dish was soooo salty. TomYum soup, Pad Ped Pad Prick. Like they accidentally dumped a tablespoon of salt in each dish.

Terrible service. Waited longer for my food then people that ordered 10-15 minutes after me. I'll never be back.

Food wasn't spicy and I've tried numerous times. I've even tried the hottest spice they offer and it just didn't give the Thai kick.

But other than that, the flavors, the service, and ambiance was the same, if not better! Since the move, the space is smaller, however I love how bright and open it is. And instead of going to the washroom in the motel, they have one inside the restaurant. We ordered our favorite dishes: spicy basil minced chicken (last option on the back of the menu) and the Thai volcano shrimp... and the cute and delicious Bear Thai Tea. I usually have a hard time finding my favorite Thai dish (basil chicken with minced chicken or pork) at Thai restaurants, so I'm really happy they didn't close for good. Both of the dishes we ordered are our go tos and can't say I'll ever order anything else! The shrimp is crunchy and pretty big... it looks similar to a small cider donut... and they give you about 6, with a side of rice and broccoli. I love that they added a sauce tray that they bring out before your food arrives, in case you need more heat in your dish. I hope next time, if I have room for it, to try one of the desserts.

Their online menu does not have the pictures that the in store one has and woowee it is a lot of choices of noodles! Amongst the 4 of us, we ordered the pork tip noodle, the Peking pork (zhajiangmian), hot oil wide noodle, beef tendon knife noodle. YUM! The noodles are handmade, handpulled and you can customize the shape and thickness you want! The portions as you can see are massive and the prices are very reasonable! $14/$15 a bowl! My pork rib tips were too tough but still seasoned. I would say their Peking style zhajiangmian is pleasantly less authentic and I liked this version better than the original! It included a braised full egg, and not too much of the cloyingly sweet and intense sauce. We ordered and within 2 minutes we were served fresh bowls of piping hot noods. Our server was efficient, warm, knowledgeable and bilingual. She said I looked like a popular Hong Kong singer, like OMG what a cute compliment! There was convenient parking and it was really close to my friend's house. Highly recommend!

I recommend the soups - I love the beef and radish soup and the miso soup. The bao buns are large and filling. I like that there is an option for contactless order and that there are utensils and napkins for patrons along with free chili oil to pack up in small containers for takeout. Many restaurants today are charging for chili oil and even utensils, which I find to be absurd. There is lemon water for patrons to serve themselves as well. It was not good. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing and something else would've been better but as I recall my last review on No Thai years ago also was not favorable either. The dish was subpar compared to other Thai restaurants. Too sweet and too spicy both combined made for an overpowering (not in a good way) disappointing meal. I'm sorry but it just didn't meet my standards.
