They actually have a gluten-free menu which made me happy. Our group ordered sushi from the gluten-free menu and I got the red curry ramen minus the mushroom medley. It was really good! I'm always happy when restaurants offer gluten-free options and they taste good. This one did not disappoint. Noddle is al dente, but not rubbery like the one you buy from the store. Because they are fresh. Soup you can drink the whole bowl if you want. AMAZING FOOD! Came here on a Friday evening. Unfortunately, we had a long wait (45-60 mins). But because we got to follow our place in line, we went around the corner for a drink. The wait ended up being about 30 mins because large parties had left and some didn't want to stay & wait. But let me tell you, it was well worth the wait. Sushi. Ramen. And more! They even have gluten free menu!! You can tell they use fresh ingredients. Highly recommend the red curry ramen bowl (the only GF option for ramen) and the avocado salmon roll. The drink options were great too! Atmosphere is casual. Parking is either street or garage. The staff was very informative and helpful. They looked like they wanted to be at work, also. My only regret was not dining in person. I DoorDashed after not enjoying my meal from White Castle. Traveling for work is not fun because you work during the day then you rush back to the hotel to do your normal work - and I had to study. Anyway. Saw great reviews and decided on ramen to wash down the dry taste in my mouth from White Castle's fries and chicken rings. Everyone must order their DFFC (duck fat fried chicken) Miso Ramen. It is spicy yet flavorful and not overwhelming. The buttered corn and the kimchi paired so well with the broth. It was so tasty that I was a little bit sad when I finished the meal. This is the first place that included napkins and utensils (or maybe I asked for it) because the many times I have DoorDashed to my hotel in the past when I'm here, utensils and napkins are never included. I recently ordered DoorDash again from ST and it was out of this world. This place is amazing. I feel ashamed to say I've never had a bao bun before and ST was able to remedy that! I got a shrimp tempura bao bun (I love the undressed slaw and the ginger sauce was delicious with it!!!), gyoza (good, but not the best in A2), and the cream puff (surprisingly yummy!). The desert puff had a great texture and it was delicious. I am a huge fan of a slight crisp gyoza and these were steamed, but still good. I can't wait to keep trying more of the menu. I've been a fan of Sleeping Turtle since they opened in Ann Arbor a decade ago! I think I might've actually been familiar with the original Chicago location first, which is where I lived before moving to Ann Arbor... about a decade ago :). Less traditional and more of a stylized ramen experience, my fave is the Tan Tan Men Ramen. The kind of spicy that is very light for those who eat spicy and approachable for those who don't! Super savory and rich broth, and delicious house made chewy noodles. I always add a molten egg which they always get perfect. Good amount of tender pork. It looks small (and I believe has gotten much smaller over the years), but super filling. The Duck Fat Fried Chicken, Baos, and Sushi Rolls are great for sharing starters as well. I'll always get at least one. Good comfort food in sophisticated digs. Versatile, good for dates, meals with friends, family, etc. Definitely on the pricier side but always tasty and filling. read more

We had the Roasted Chicken Tonkatsu Ramen which had an excellent broth. Probably the best ramen broth I've ever had. It was very well seasoned and could be a soup on its own. The noodles are house made and taste extremely fresh and are well made. It paired perfectly with the broth. My only complaint would be the chicken was not very well seasoned. We started with some cocktails. I ordered the Calpico Mule- good to the last drop! The delicate bao was a perfect start (the vegetable being my favorite.) The crunchy octopus fritters are a must! We went during a very busy weekend (two times...) and although they were slammed (and on a wait), they offered excellent service, food was incredible, and obviously we came back twice in two days, so that says something. Been here once and probably won't go back. To preface-the food is not bad it just is very mediocre, overpriced, and there is better in the area. The service is good, however, the restaurant is typically pretty busy so it does slow down the process. The poke bowl is good but just average, same for the rolls and primarily all the dishes. I don't have anything major as nothing stood out to me in a bad or good way. I would choose Totoro, mama satto, or any poke bowl place over slurping turtle. We were told this was one of the best places to get ramen in town. We weren't disappointed. We had gotten tickets the day before for a movie at the State theatre for 6:30, so getting there at 5:25, we were hoping there would be enough time. It wasn't. It took a while to get our orders in. We felt really bad that we had to ask for our check early, but because it took nearly til 6:00 to get our entree ordered, we really needed to pay quickly. Luckily the food was good. We wanted to try a bao (it's award winning) and some sashimi. Our waiter recommended just getting the sashimi plate versus getting individual pieces (the small has 9 pieces for $20 while a la carte, each piece is $5). This was a great recommendation. I had the classic Tokyo shoyu ramen, and the BF had the curry ramen with a molten egg added. The bao came with a little carrot ginger and Napa cabbage salad. It was really good! The bao itself was pretty good, but it's not the best I've had. The sashimi had thick cuts of hamachi (yellowtail), tuna, and salmon. It was pretty great and a good deal. My ramen was delicious. The Naruto fish cakes were sliced very thin, if that is your jam. I personally like a thicker slice. The pork belly was perfect, and I was shocked by how many slices they give you. The molten egg was perfectly jammy. I'm not sure I caught the nori, but the bowl was very good, considering we had gotten many bowls of ramen in Tokyo this year and the bowl here was comparable. The curry ramen had some disparate items but were really tasty altogether. The broth was the real star of the show. I had to knock a star off because they actually never gave him the egg he added on. We just were in way too much of a hurry to let them know. Also, about 1/2 way through the meal, the waiter realized he never got us water. Again, we weren't upset, because we had a show to get to. I always order the red curry ramen which consists of "mushroom medley, fried eggplant, pea shoots, potato & kabocha chips, carrots, scallions, coconut-lemongrass cream, chili oil." You can't get ramen like this anywhere else. They offer other options like sushi, bao buns and stir fry. I stick with the ramen though. It's award winning and they've hosted ramen battles with the proceeds going to charity. The service has always been quick and great.
