Took my sushi loving daughter for lunch at this new restaurant. Located in a strip mall but surprisingly hip interior. Nice ambiance, lighting, art & tableware. Real chopsticks, not disposable. We had the chicken curry bento box, for miso soup, house salad with ginger dressing, gyoza, California roll & killer fried rice. The rice was loaded with veggies & chicken. Also had the 3 roll lunch & you can choose soup or salad. Curry was creamy & fresh, very nice flavor. Not the biggest portion but with all the extras it was more than enough. Asked spice level preference 1-10 & we asked for 5. Was fairly mild, I would have called it a 2-3. But if it's too hot it's a problem, so best to err in that direction. It was by no means bland. Outstanding service by Robbie. Attentive, water always full, plates cleared promptly & check dropped quickly. Stellar waiter with a great smile & happy demeanor. Really fresh sushi and all the plates we ordered had great flavor. The only nit pick comment I have is that the bits of chicken in the coconut corn chicken soup tasted a day or two old. Overall we were glad to eat here and would come back. The ambiance was also nice. read more

The food was okay. It wasn't the best sushi we have had. We got very poor service. We had to ask for water and drinks. The waiter did not serve us everything that we had ordered. He served us our fried rice when we were done with dinner. The place was not real busy so I am unsure why the service was so poor. The ambiance was nice. Yaaayyyy! A great sushi place with vegan options that is super close to home! The inside is comfortable with plenty of space. The decor is very cute and not overbearing. I love the waterwall at the entrance. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I have been here several times now and this place has not disappointed yet. I have thoroughly enjoyed each of my visits here. I usually stick to avocado rolls cause yum! The indian pancakes are pretty delicious too as a appetizer. read more

Amazing! We went for supper and they were very busy. This means the kitchen was a bit slammed so food came out a tad slow. Despite this, the food is worth the wait. The waiters were friendly and attentive and the sushi was delicious. We had an Indian Pancake as an appetizer. We hadn't had that before, but apparently it was a bread pancake served with red curry sauce. Another customer recommended the Raw Mango Salmon Wrap. This was excellent and I strongly recommend it as well. The sweet heart roll was also excellent and recommended. We will undoubtedly be back. read more

BEST SUSHI I'VE EVER HAD! We had the Ninja roll, Author roll, and Dancing Eel roll. Each of which were amazing. We also ordered the miso soup and salmon avocado roll. It's very calm and quiet, which I liked as well. The waiter was very responsive and friendly. It also wasn't expensive, yet it tasted better than the expensive sushi I've tried. My husband and I went last night on a whim (we don't live in the area). I was craving Thai; we don't have anything available where we live :( We ordered the edamame, yummy rolls, and green curry- ALL DELICIOUS!! The staff was great, friendly, and attentive which is always worth a positive review. I only gave 4 stars because I would have liked to have seen more Thai options on the menu to try out. Wow. Just wow. I went with the Yaki Udon which had a perfect blend of slightly sweet and slightly smoky undertones. The vegetables were very fresh. I would not be surprised if they had bought them today. My wife went with a curry vegetable and steamed rice and despite my best efforts she was only willing to share a bite or two. Using some excuse that she is eating for two (which seemed like a ruse since our 5 month looks healthfully fat). I ultimately had to order Dragon Roll to enjoy more of the cuisine. The staff was rude from the moment we walked in.They have unwelcome atmosphere and hearing that multiple of my friends have gotten food poisoning from this place kind of ruins it. The food was great! We had the angry chicken, fried rice and a sushi roll, all were delicious! Some of the best Thai food I've had. Ambiance inside the restaurant was good, perfect for a night out! It can be hard to find good food out in the Forney area, so finding this place was definitely a win! My only reason for 4 stars is the price, we paid $50 for 3 items, we carried out, so we didn't have any extra charges for drinks or tips. This is somewhat expensive considering the size of the entrees, but if I'm in the mood for Thai and don't feel like driving to Dallas, this will be my go-to option. read more

Forney may be the last town farthest east of Dallas, Texas which still has that small town country feel to it. With its ongoing expansion of growth and opportunities, there is this place nestled in a corner that is very unexpected. I've been living in Forney for almost two years and have spent many weekends venturing into Dallas to find just the right Eastern Asian eatery to satisfy my cravings. Here is why I gave it five stars. 1) sushi lovers: the rice was cooked to a perfection and still warm to the touch as if just freshly made. The till was executed to every detail where it didn't fall apart. The flavoring with the ingredients is not over power taste like most seafoods do. 2) pad Thai lovers: you choose the strength level of spice and heat. The chicken was cooked to the most tender moister. 3) fried rice lover: yes one may screw up fried rice; although this restaurant did not. The vegetables still had a slight crunch and the rice was not soggy with oil residue all over plate like you may see at other places you may have been. Thus the fried rice was perfect. 4) the price: the prices were reasonably priced for the quality of food and service that I received. The food that I tasted reminded me of when I was in Taiwan eating traditional oriental food. I understand you must make decisions for yourself and yes I am that type of guy that reads and writes yelp reviews when trying out new places. I am a Midwesterner from Kansas, although born and raised Texan! Now I am back, to say, I've been to New York, Los Angeles, Orlando, Las Vegas and Kansas City. Living in a small town, we normally have to go into the city to get some decent sushi. Great sushi was about an hour away without traffic. That was until someone had mentioned a sushi place in forney which is only about 10 mins away so I had to try it. So glad I did! It's hidden in a corner of a shopping strip and doesn't look like much from the outside. Walking in, you see a really cool water art feature and then the very well decorated restaurant itself. Very pretty and sophisticated. Great music playing in the background and very welcoming staff. They have a large menu with tons to choose from. We were there for a quick bite so we ordered the miso soup and a few rolls. Soup was great and the shrimp tempura roll was delicious with the sweet eel sauce that made the roll! What I miss most about living in the middle of a metropolitan city is the cultural diversity, especially when it comes to food. The sushi here was great - yellowtail was smooth and buttery and the avocado creamy. The ambiance was spot on - I almost forgot where I was! I will definitely be back to try the Thai food, although I do wish they would expand the menu a bit to include more Thai dishes (think, pad se ew and tom kha gai). Thai Square surprisingly nice. A sushi restaurant in Forney, at the end of the strip, tucked back in the corner didn't lift my expectation. However, that changed immediately when I walked in. You're immediately whisked away in the Japanese vibe, with the Asian guy behind the sushi bar hand rolling sushi rolls, the fabulous decor and the soothing atmosphere. The food is amazing! My first time trying this restaurant and I wanted something vegan since am vegan. I saw the tofu curry and was excited because my last experience at a Thai restaurant with red curry tofu was delicious and perhaps I had high expectations. Thai square's tofu in this entree was very mushy. I was highly disappointed. I saved half of my meal so I can take the tofu out to air fry it to get it more crisp but to no avail. The outside got crisp in my air fryer but the inside was still very mushy. I had to threw the tofu away because I didn't like it. My wife and Mother-In-Law went to Thai Square Sushi for dinner the other day and they absolutely loved it. Both of them raved about it as soon as they got home. Needless to say I was excited too and lucky enough that they brought me back their leftovers so I could try them. Well this place is making amazing sushi which was bold, fresh and tasty. The menu is great with pictures and descriptions of each dish which will help people new to sushi. This place is for real and right out of the gate a top contender on the DFW sushi scene.
