Crispy egg rolls - light, not greasy and delicious

I've wanted to try Bloom Thai for awhile but we aren't in Lakewood. We went to Lakewold Gardens and I knew this would be the perfect lunch with my husband, daughter and grandsons. And Bloom did not disappoint. Super cute seating area, where you order at the counter from a limited, but very good, menu. Beautifully presented and so good! Wish they had a green papaya salad and pad Thai, but they don't offer those dishes. Recommend for sure!

I love Thai food so much, and this place is such a perfect spot to get it. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and it's a pretty and comforting ambiance when eating outside with the sun out! The employees were very kind. The presentation of the food is absolutely beautiful, and the food was flavorful. They also have mango sticky rice, and it was so good!! This place is further down south for me, so it is a bit of a drive to get to this restaurant, but I am definitely looking forward to my next visit. Thank you so much, Bloom Thai!

The staff is super friendly. The food is very tasty and comes up relatively quickly. My son love that the coconut water comes in a coconut. We've dined in a few times and really enjoyed it.

Oh my~ This little cozy thai restaurant was amazing. All the foods had great flavors. Crispy chicken had little kick and unami flavor. And crunch pork was crispy and tender. And finally with matcha Thai ice tea was the perfect choice to end of meal. I definitely come back again.

10/10 across the board! This adorable, homey (and aesthetically lovely) restaurant was an amazing experience start to finish. It is marketed as a somewhat self serve restaurant, but despite that we were treated warmly and assisted as soon as we entered to when we left. The waitress kindly explained how to order and we received our food quickly! I ordered the udon drunken noodles with tofu which was delicious. My partner ordered the coconut prawns and crispy garlic chicken (just a note the garlic chicken is more tangy and sweet vs savory). The Thai iced teas were amazing. And we shared delicious vegetarian spring rolls as well. We had a great time and I def recommend this warm, delicious and friendly restaurant if you're feeling Thai!

Fried veggies with tofu. So fresh and so delicious!

Just had lunch here. The food was just so good! I don't say it lightly. I am a food snob, I cook everything at home and from scratch. I haven't had truly delicious restaurant food that has good energy and is made of good quality ingredients in a long time! This place is a gem. My deep gratitude to the people who cook, serve and take care of this business. Please keep it up. We need you

A very good Thai restaurant near Tacoma. The space is pretty small and you order on a tablet at the front. I tried the pad thai with pork belly and it did not disappoint! The presentation is great and the portions were huge. The pad thai was not overly sweet and had great flavor plus the pork belly had a nice crispy skin with juicy meat. Plus everyone here was super nice and helpful. The menu is limited but it's all about quality over quantity here!

This is a nice south end Thai restaurant that is newer and offers almost-fusion-type dishes I would say. I ordered the pad see ew udon noodles, but sadly I don't think I would try them again as I felt the traditional flavors don't really showcase well in the udon format. We also tried the drunken noodle and felt similarly, but I'd love to come back and order the pad Thai and popular meat dishes. Have a heads up that seating may be limited due to the small space on busy days and times. The staff are very kind and accommodating! The restaurant vibe is really pretty but still has a casual dining atmosphere. Parking is easy as it's in a shared parking lot.

We came here for a late lunch and it wasn't too busy but I can see how it would be packed during the lunch and dinner rush. It was very easy to order at the window and find a seat and the girls working were super nice and friendly! We got the pad thai with pork belly and chicken pad see ew and they gave a free drink for being military which was very kind of them. The portions were huge and the food was very fresh. Their pad see ew uses udon noodles instead of the usual thin and flat wide rice noodles. The flavor was good but there was a lot of sauce and no char on the noodles. The pad thai was yummy and the pork belly was very crisp and well seasoned! The thai green tea was very refreshing as well. The restaurant was very clean and nicely decorated and very bright. The food came out quickly and the servers were incredibly attentive. The kitchen was very open and seemed clean inside as well. The main chef and owner I presume didn't seem like she was in a good mood and I couldn't tell if she was joking or serious but it did make it a little awkward to listen to her yell at her staff while we eating. Otherwise the food is great and we will definitely be back!

Part of the pan fell off into my food and I didn't realize until I was eating the leftovers and bit into the metal.

This restaurant is tucked back behind gravity coffee off of Custer. You really don't even feel like you are in lakewood when you are in there. It is super cute. Right now they have a Christmas tree decked out in Easter decor. The one guy who took our order and brought us our food was nice. It is slightly awkward how you order and pay. You have to go up to the window where the food comes out of the kitchen and the cashier is facing the customers way. There is really no counter or anything to order at. Our food came very fast and the quality of the food was really good. I got the chicken pad Thai and it was so good. I also enjoyed the money bag coconut shrimp. If you are into getting a fresh coconut that has coconut water in it it is kind of a fun thing to do. Personally, I don't really like coconut water, but I did try it. The food is kind of expensive, but the quality is good. The only reason I didn't give this place a five is because I found a piece of metal in my pad Thai. I really do think it was an honest mistake. It likely was a part of the pan that they were making the food in. The restaurant is clean and I didn't feel like there were any hygiene issues. I would consider going back although Thai food is not my favorite, but I wanted to try this place and it is pretty good.

Service and ambiance was amazing! The star of the show was the food! Pork belly fried rice was delicious, flavorful and plentiful. Red curry- can taste the coconut base with the spice and just the right amount of thickness. Coconut prawns and cream cheese rangoons were amazing! A must visit when in Tacoma Washington.

Probably the best local joint for Thai food! When entering the restaurant it is not immediately apparent that you order at the counter, then you find a seat. This place is always busy so they definitely need to expand so they can have more seating. However, staff are all very friendly and willing to direct you the right way. They have a communal table for water and sauces. I wish they would have sauces available on each table. Ambiance is modern, cute, and clean. Food flavors are fantastic. it took a couple tries for me to fully enjoy the fact that they use udon noodles instead of the usual flat rice noodles for their drunken noodles and pad see-ew. Their crispy garlic chicken was yummy with good crunch, not too much garlic, and the fried basil helped elevate the dish. They also have some special dishes posted on their instagram stories with MAMA noodles but these are not on their menu!! Would really love to try one of these. UPDATE: Found an IG post saying this is the "off-menu MAMA pad kee mao"... now I know how to order it!

I'd just gotten off the train from eating and drinking my way around Portland and you couldn't welcome me back with a few more choices for a good meal? But since I ended up at Thai Pepper, all was forgiven. Hands down, their pumpkin curry is on my list of all time top ten favorite foods. It's spicy, it's sweet, it's nutty, it's soothing -- it has pumpkin. The curry sauce is so good I poured what I had leftover on my mashed potatoes the next day. Everything about Thai Pepper rocks. The service is great and so is the vibe. The location is a little out of the way though, which may be why I forget to go more often-- even though there's usually good parking and it's right around the corner from the salon that cuts my hair! The portion sizes were large, especially for the price point, which made it feel like good value. The restaurant itself is small so never unnecessarily crowded. Service could've been better, we had to request serval times for tableware and water refills. My only issue is that the spice level was underwhelming. I ordered a spice level 4, and even though I know spice is subjective, I'm not someone who can handle super spicy food even I was still wishing for more heat. If you're someone who enjoys bold spice, you may be disappointed. The standout dish of the meal was definitely Red Curry Duck. It was rich, flavorful, and easily the best thing we ordered.

I booked a reservation here for my dad's birthday dinner. He's been here in the past and loved it so I thought it was a good safe choice, but it fell a little lackluster for him specifically which is a bummer since it was HIS birthday. We started out with some Chicken Satay and Crab Rangoon, both of which were fire. We haven't ordered those here before so can confirm the satay is a new favorite. Can't really mess up the rangoon, but still it was delicious! My dad is a sucker for Panang Curry with Chicken but they will only make it here with salmon for whatever reason? Bummer number one. He went with the Crying Tiger as his back up and when they brought it out, we were all wowed! Presentation is a 10/10 for sure. He ordered it medium rare though and it came out WELL done which, for the price, was a letdown. I ended up doing something I never do and broke free of the shackles that their Pad Thai has on me. The Boat Noodles looked so delicious that I decided to full send and give it a try - as a huge soup girlie the curiosity was just too strong. The broth is very herb forward but also still has a complex, delicious flavor. Spice level was on point. The waitress told me it was very beef forward and boy it was - but it was tasty! TONS of generously sliced beef. Loved the rice noodles too. My sister ordered the Crab Fried Rice which was an insane portion and uniquely plated. Large serving of fried rice covered in a Thai style omelet with a HEAPING pile of crab on top, served with a yummy Thai spicy mayo. She let me try a couple bites and it was pretty superb. It's a little pricy at $40 but it's at least two meals so I guess it's justified. I put in my reservation notes that it was a birthday dinner and they were kind enough to bring out a free slice of cheesecake that was beautifully presented with dry ice and all. Even with a few hiccups in this dinner we will definitely still continue to frequent. Over the 5+ times we've been here this was the first kind of "meh" experience but it was still good!

We ordered the crab rangoons, calamari rings, chicken fried rice, and the pad ka pao, which ended up being our favorite dish we ordered. We will definitely be back!
