Shrimp in the Blanket - Crispy large shrimp stuffed with pork, crab meat, mushrooms, glass noodles and carrots in wonton skin
    Stephanie T.

Thai Taste is a local Thai restaurant. There is a huge parking lot, so you do not have to worry about finding parking. The restaurant is quite spacious and there are plenty of tables. We started with Shrimp in the Blanket - Crispy large shrimp stuffed with pork, crab meat, mushrooms, glass noodles and carrots in wonton skin, served with plum sauce. This was a yummy start. For entrees, we had the Pineapple Fried Rice - Stir fried shrimp, chicken and crabmeat with raisins, green peas, pineapple chunks, tomatoes and a touch of curry powder and Mango Fried Rice -Shrimp and chicken stir fried with mangoes, egg, onions, scallions and tomatoes with a touch of curry powder. The fried rice was so delicious. I think this is the first time I had fried rice with curry powder and it definitely was tasty. We devoured our dishes and there were no grains left on the dishes. The staff were very friendly and I would definitely come back to try other dishes.

Very disappointed in this place. The food quality has gone down hill. On top of the low food quality, I bought take out food from Thai Taste and found a metal nail inside my pad thai noodles when I came home... I will not be returning!

I enjoy the food here. Service is friendly. Everything has gone down in quantity and a little bit in quality. Chicken pad Thai is my favorite very little chicken tons of fresh bean sprouts. A side of peanut sauce is an expensive extra. Although I still recommend Thai Taste, I must say the quality has gone down and the prices have gone way up

My family and I stopped here for a quick last minute dinner, the staff was really nice along with the food. We got Thai iced teas to drink which were very good and sweet. For starters I got the Tom Yum hot and sour soup with chicken in it, it was very tasty and tangy although I wish it was a tad more spicy! Finally I got Mango fried rice for my main, the chicken was tender and the curry spice really added a nice touch. Overall a great dinner, staff were friendly and food was great!!

Great little place! Cozi, excellent food and service. I love the Pad Kee Mow and my wife orders the Healthy Fried Rice but mild as normally spicy. They are very accommodating at changing a spice level. We've been coming for at least 10 years. Probably here Twice a month.

This dish tasted exactly how I remembered it in some of my favorite Bangkok restaurants that I've been to over the years. I've been to SE Asia many times over the years and will keep going back because of the WOW factor. So, details... the noodles are cooked perfectly. It's soft, but still has a slight crunch to it. The tamarind flavor is bold, but not overpowering. The peanuts, sprouts, chives and all the other ingredients were in the perfect proportion. The shrimp is fresh, crispy externally and tender when you bite down on it. This is by far the best Shrimp Pad Thai that I've had in Rhode Island. If anyone has another suggestion, then please let me hear it! The Thai Iced coffee was also BOMB! A nice caffeine jolt, creamy and not overwhelmingly sweet. The ambiance is that of a casual restaurant, the staff are awesome - knowledgeable, quick and kind. Plenty of parking in the lot - the place does quite a bit of takeout but we opted to eat in. Handful of tables but the inside does need a little bit of tidying up - the front area had a bunch of boxes sitting there. We ordered a few different Asian cuisines - sushi, Thai and Chinese - b/c why not? Our faves were actually all the non Chinese options (pad thai and sushi). We were pleasantly surprised we liked the sushi as much as we did as we weren't expecting much. We were too full from the apps (gyoza and boneless ribs) and sushi so ended up taking our entrees home. But we actually enjoyed pretty much everything we had - the apps were our least favorite. They weren't bad, just subpar. The service was very friendly, welcoming and attentive. Seeing that the restaurant does quite a bit of takeout, we weren't sure of the level of service but it was excellent. We will def be back again to try other options they offer.

However, their online menu looked like they served things we would like to eat. We finally ordered it to be delivered. I got the chicken Panang curry and my husband got the chicken teriyaki. The sauces were flavorful and not overly spicy (although you clearly have the option of getting it very very spicy if you'd like). There are several other things on their menu that I would like to try and we will definitely be ordering again. I did see some comments on the serving sizes.
