Wife and I were craving some pho after taking our kids to the Grapevine mall. This place was conveniently located next to the mall and fit the bill. Lots of seating and a large menu to choose from. From reading my own reviews, I guess I know why I've not been back in about 13 years. Went there for lunch with my son as I found a BOGO deal and it's been ages since my last visit. The service was quick, but the regular price was still a bit more than average. Granted I got the BOGO deal, but I was still charge a bit more for my large pho, which I didn't bother to question. Service was quick as in about 5 min. Both my son and I had the same, combo pho large. And both of us commented the beef brisket had sort of a gamey taste to it. Well, didn't think much of it, but the whole afternoon, I kept burping to that same taste, whatever it was. It's been more than 7 hours now, so just hope I don't get sick from this. Overall, the pho was ok. Just wasn't sure about the funky beef brisket taste. Unfortunately, with or without BOGO deal, don't think I'll be back anytime soon. read more

We ended up getting a regular pho dac biet and a bun bo hue (they call it spicy noodles).... when i ordered and mentioned the two above items, they asked if i was Vietnamese... LOL. Told them no, but since i used to live in socal, i would frequent pho places. Anyways, the pho was decent, but i think the bun bo hue could have been a bit better. Its really not fair to compare pho/viet places to socal, since it has the largest viet population in the USA. On the outskirts of Grapevine Mall. They have menu pictures along the wall as you walk up to order, makes ordering real easy. They give you a number and they deliver to your table. The place appeared very clean, I watched them doing cleanup as people left and they did a thorough job. Everything we ordered was very good. The food is so good. The owners are so nice. This is a great spot for a date night or family night out. The menu spans all kinds of options from zero spice to hair on fire. There is food for everyone. Grilled platter - just the meats and they were cooked perfectly and the flavor is on point. Pork curry Pad Thai - my son's favorite. Generous portion. Came to this location after another one was full. The meat was so chewy and my pho tasted off. In the middle of my meal I look down and see a roach. I was disgusted so I discreetly told the cashier. Food is pretty good although it is sort of overpriced for what you get (except the banh mi). The banh mi is very worth it though due to the price as well as the taste. Be careful though because it can be spicy! They do use actual steak meat in their pho so it is quite good even though I still don't think it justifies the price. read more

Zero star. Ordered through Yelp and did a pickup. A same lady when we dined in who seems to hated my husband's face. From the way she ask what he wants to telling him that the order is over there! Pointing her fingers to a counter. SMH NO condiments such as hoisin sauce, soy sauce, Sriracha, and chili paste. Not even a disposal chop sticks. After not coming here for several years, I feel as if I should update my review. We came on a Tuesday night around 7:30 pm. The menu looked updated as in they had pictures showing the food, which I really appreciated. There were a steady flow of people and their phone was ringing nonstop which I took in as a great sign for the shop!! We ordered the beef Pho and a grilled pork banh mi. We sat down and not 5 minutes later, our food came out. The large beef Pho was A LOT smaller of a bowl then I remembered. My hubby and I used to have to split a large but this time, we both regretted not ordering our own. The banh mi and little to no meat in it but was still very delicious. Needless to say, we left hungry when in the past we were always miserably full. I do understand business has to be a little tough with all of the construction going on so I am pretty surprised they are still in business. I believe they use powder flavor to make there bun bo hue not with any pork meat and bones because it does not have any porky aftertaste for the bun bo hue. He got our order wrong and when my husband went up to tell him he didn't apologize, he accused my husband of saying the order wrong and then started to mumble in Vietnamese and said "oh my god" with a disgruntled look on his face. I think this place probably fits people new to Pho. New to Asian food and young kids. You order at the register and they bring the food to the table. Food was fast. It was just not tasty and everything we ordered was slightly off on ingredients. I got flat noodles with beef. It had sauce but was tasteless. Beef tasted like something you would make at home. Sprouts were the main ingredient in the dish. Tons and tons of sprouts. Guest got seafood pho. Not sure if the seafood was over cooked or cheap but it was rubbery. Again the dish was editable but it lacked flavors you would normally taste in Pho. If you never had Pho, are not big into spices or want your very young kids to experience something new this might be your place. We left wanting to go elsewhere for the Pho taste we know and love. read more
