Service was fast and the staff was really friendly, no long waits, which I always appreciate. Walking in, ordering was fairly easy. The menu was easy to understand. Ate inside and they give you a number to take; fairly easy process. The food I ordered was the steak+chicken hibachi grill with rice and gyoza. The gyoza was lukewarm but the actual meal came out hot and tasty. Being that I'm from the east coast my take on Japanese cuisine is a tad bit different but nonetheless they hit the mark and I'm impressed. Being so close to our office in Las Colinas, I've found myself at F&F Japanese Grill semi-regularly and am happy to say that their food is quick, consistent, and tasty. This counter service restaurant is located in a strip center so parking is rarely an issue. Walk in, get in line, and take a look at the menus adorning the walls and over the kitchen and register. Their options are quite plentiful but I typically find myself getting the Kimchi Cheese Bowl with Tofu. I have always been pleased with this menu item: it's tasty and filling without leaving me feeling overly full. I will say that this place can get busy quick and fill up fast. The closer to noon it gets the more full the restaurant will become with that lunch rush and it can get pretty loud and noisy in there when this happens, just a heads-up. Service is always acceptable. I've never had any sort of above and beyond experience with the staff, but I've never had any issues either. They are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and my order comes out quick and correct, so no complaints. F&F Japanese Grill provides a fresh and filling take on lunch while also feeling lighter than other nearby options. So long as they keep doing what they've been doing, I will find myself returning time and time again when in town for work. read more

I went to lunch at Fast Furious at my coworkers' recommendation. The concept of a fast casual hibachi grill was new to me- cool idea! I opted not for the grilled and instead for fresh and healthier, ordering the Hawaiian bowl with tuna. The tuna was fresh tasting and delicious! However, I didn't care for the copious amount of iceberg lettuce or the green pepper in the bowl- in particular, the lettuce didn't really fit the theme of other items in the bowl. Overall, it was generally tasty and the portion of the bowl was sizable. The cashier was super friendly and moved through the lunch rush at a reasonable pace. I was in town for the day and needed a quick lunch near my hotel. Prices were fair and food was just okay. Opted for the Steak and Shrimp hibachi plate with fried rice. I also ordered the Gyoza and Mushroom Popper. Again, everything was average at best. On the plate, the way the steak was cut felt off? I'm not sure if it's because they're meant to be bite size, but when they're cut that small the meat can't be anything BUT well done. Shrimp was cooked well though, and the fried rice/veggies were just there. The apps were also okay, but I didn't know why parsley was all over the gyoza, and the mushroom popper got soggy fast so I didn't enjoy it as much as I would have if it was fresh. All of the food also felt weirdly bland and was reliant on the sauce to have any flavor. I basically either sauced or salted everything to enjoy it. Service was adequate for a fast and casual spot. I waited maybe 5-7 minutes for my food to be ready. I thought about eating in since it was clean and there was plenty of space, but ended up taking it to go so I could have my own drinks in my room. Overall, menu looks promising so I'd come back if in the area to try something else. It was an affordable, filling meal, even if what I ordered wasn't my fave this time around. read more

I ordered a chicken hibachi meal for lunch. The chicken was flavorful and tasty. The decor is interesting. The manga panels put a pleasant twist on the classic "automobile" theme. The yum-yum sauce is almost pickle-y and watered down, and the little cup they give you is barely half-full. I'd pay extra for sauce if you'd at least fill up the tiny cup. I asked for fried rice with no veggies (online order), but their fried rice has vegetables in it, and it's premade, I guess, because they explained they did not have fried rice without vegetables in it. So, they subbed steamed rice instead. I was on my lunchbreak and couldn't stick around, and at the risk of karen-ing out, they should have contacted me about this. I was in the store while it was still being prepared and they did not alert me until they handed me the bag. I honestly would not have ordered from here if I had known the rice contained vegetables. Was in the area when I decided to try this restaurant on a whim years and years ago. I loved it and haven't seemed to be able to forget about it since. Fast forward to a few years later, and I was surprised to find another location near my friend's place! Our group decided to eat there for dinner, and I was nervous that I might be remembering it to be better in my head than it was. Thankfully, it did not disappoint! I was scared I had hyped it up to my friends too much, but they loved it so much they ate there again with other friends the next day and then another friend the next week. Our friends are now regulars and I'm so happy I rediscovered this place. Our go-to orders are the Wow Bowl, Beef Bibimbap Bowl, Hawaiian Bowl, or any of the Furious Entrees.
