Consistently "closed" every time I get off work and arrive from 7:25-8:00. It is infuriating to have to go into a business with hours publicly posted online and the door stating that they are closed at 8:30, but be refused service before the last 30 minutes are even in play. Ridiculous, is it too much trouble to clean after business hours like every other retail/food business? Or just change the hours publicly to account for the laziness and stop lying to potential customers arriving 40 minutes before closing. It doesn't help matters when the best explanation I get from the guy in there is "only clean, no food". So to whoever owns this Koriyaki, I hope you know that from 7:00-8:30, you may as well not count those as business hours, as all your customers are refused anyway. And please, have someone figure out what's causing the nasty smell that apparently has been slapping people in the face on entry since 2016. Not sure if it's because of the time we arrived, the day, or if the cook staff was just having a bad day. My fiancée and I arrived on Tuesday at 7:45PM. Usually we try to be at a restaurant at least an hour before they close, but we didn't realize they closed at 8:30. There was only one other guy in the lobby, so we still went ahead and ordered for dine in through the self-serve kiosk. We sat down at one of the tables towards the back and watched as one of the two people behind the counter left for the night right at 8PM. We finally got our food at 8:15, boxed up and ready for takeout. I checked with the cook that we could still eat in, and he let us know that was fine. The food itself wasn't impressive at all. I ordered an appetizer sampler and combination chicken and beef with rice. My fiancée ordered the salmon with rice. The appetizer sampler was okay, but the only items that tasted fresh was the spring rolls. The dumplings and crab ragoon were room temperature at best. The chicken with my disk was undercooked and still pink in some places, yet didn't taste fresh at all. The beef was fresh, but cooked to the point of being tough like leather. We stopped in for a late lunch. It's bigger inside then what you would think. There is a kiosk where you can place your order or you have the option of ordering at the counter with a staff member. We decided to have someone take our order in case we had any questions. I'm not a fan of the order kiosks anyway. We ordered an appetizer sampler, #7 combo with pork/chicken, and a #10 with shrimp. We paid and were given a receipt with a number and Styrofoam cups for the beverages. The food took awhile, about twenty minutes. We weren't in a hurry and they were cooking it as we waited. When it was ready, they called our number and had it waiting at the counter. Although we were dining in, everything was packaged in Styrofoam. We were given packets of sauce and plasticware. The appetizers were okay. They would have been better if they weren't so greasy. The shrimp was a nice size and there was lots of rice. The shrimp however turned out to be dry and overcooked. The rice was dry too as if it had been pulled out of the refrigerator from yesterday and reheated. The salad is really just garnish. It was chopped romaine with a minute amount of carrot and cabbage. It didn't come with any dressing on it or on the side. We paid over forty dollars for food that was subpar. Overall, very disappointing. read more

I've been here 3 times so far for lunch and all my orders have been to go. Placing an order is very easy, I prefer to call and they usually have it ready within 5-10 minutes which works great. I love teriyaki but not many places offer this in DFW. So far I have only tried the chicken teriyaki plate and spicy chicken teriyaki plate but it has been consistence and overall good in terms of flavor and taste. Only downside I've experienced is that the spicy chicken teriyaki isn't spicy at all. It tastes the same as the regular chicken teriyaki. I would save the extra dollar and just opt for some sriracha on the side or something. All condiments are self service and everyone working there is very friendly. I would recommend checking this out if you're looking for a new teriyaki spot read more

I've been searching for good teriyaki and finally have found a teriyaki spot that is delicious. They have a kiosk that looks like you can order there but a human took our order. She was friendly and explained where to find sauces, forks, etc. When I walked into the restaurant, the first thing I noticed was the delightful aroma of fresh teriyaki being cooked. The second thing was that there's a good amount of seating. We didn't dine in but had we had the time, we would have enjoyed our meal in the restaurant. The only thing I didn't care for is you want more than one small half filled cup of sriracha, they charge 50 cents. Which in my opinion is way too much since you can buy a whole bottle for about $4. Had an hour for lunch so I came by Friday to order takeout from here. The place is pretty easy to find and in a small little plaza. From first impression, the interior looks great! It feels very open and there's lots of tables available for seating, as well as a bar-like seating area. You order up front, and drinks and silverware are in the back. I ordered the Combination Pork + Beef (~$10) with brown rice (+$0.99) and combo (spring roll and drink, +$2.50). The first thing I immediately noted was how GREAT the meat was! While I got more beef than I did pork (about 75% beef), both were cooked very well (no pink inside) and tender. You can see the juices from the meat and the seasoning here is on point - flavorful but not overwhelming or Smokey (I'm not a big fan of Smokey flavors). On top of that, the brown rice and small side salad were both fresh and complemented the meat quite well. Overall, great place to come grab a bite! This place has been on my list for more than a year due to their limited hours after working on week nights and weekend. Finally came here few weeks ago when I was working from home for lunch. Overall, it was as expected but the it was excessive sauce used in the chicken with stir fry udons. The other 2 dishes were fine. Main complaint is the lack of air circulation. When you go in, the smell of grease was a bit overwhelming and you can definitely still smell it in the afternoon that gets in to your clothes and hair. My wife and I are here. She got the pork/beef combo and I got the beef/chicken. Unfortunately,the meat wasn't seasoned well nor did it have a flavorful sauce on it. Delicious no-frills restaurant that is going to be a regular in our eating-out rotation. I ordered at the restaurant and took my food to go seven minutes later, watching them make my order the whole time. I'm so wary of ordering chicken at restaurants because I always feel it's dry, but DUDE the spicy chicken here is well-sauced and perfectly tender. My husband doesn't eat any chicken unless it's battered and fried and even he was shocked by how much he liked it. He would never trade in the chicken katsu though, he actually asked if we could order from here again next week! The rice was well cooked and each plate comes with a small container of spring mix. Honestly the plate was so huge I barely finished it, I definitely could have split it into two meals if I didn't like it so much. We also got a side or spring rolls which were bigger than those I get at surrounding areas! I loved the sauce bar as well, particularly enjoying the spicy mayo and teriyaki sauces. We have tried a few takeout teriyaki bowl places for lunch but Koriyaki is definitely in the top two for this style of fast food. While perhaps it doesn't compare with five star Japanese restaurants like Domo in Denver it is certainly a great value compared to other places you might stop for a quick lunch. The portions are good size and the food it quite good. The Spicy Bowl has a decent flavor where the sauce was spicy and delicious but not over bearing. The service was impersonal and inattentive but that can be expected during the lunch rush. My wife and I ordered the same exact bowl, I was number 17 and she was 18, so it was a mystery why her order came out well before my own. So much so that she was almost finished with her lunch when I finally got my order.... keep in mind we ordered the same thing and I ordered before her. The egg roll was a bit over done and the rice had been sitting a while. All together they probably deserved a 3 star (my base rating for average) but the flavor and value were a bit above average so I rounded up to four. We will more than likely visit again as we are in Dallas quite a lot for work and this place is close enough for a quick lunch. Wow. This place is unapologetically anti-environmental. They don't even ask if it's "to-go". They just give everyone a styrofoam container, a styrofoam cup and expect you to get your own plastic-ware from a table in the far corner. I don't know why I bothered to tip 15% since they didn't get my drink or plastic-ware for me and I cleaned up after my self. I definitely wouldn't have tipped at all had I realized at first that we were being forced to listen Christian praise music on the TV the whole time we were there. Either Christians don't know or they don't care that their music is literally torture to anyone who is not them. You don't have to have good taste in music to know that worship hymns are the least entertaining genre and that the redundancy of the choruses are predictably dull and unbearably annoying. Now. On to the food. My wife and I both got #13. Mine was beef and hers was tofu. Both came stir fried with noodles and tasted absolutely wonderful. In fact if it weren't for the noodles I wouldn't even give this place one star. That being said, if you're expecting it to look like the picture on their big screen tv menu then ask for triple the meat. They were stingy with the beef. I got a piece of meat about 3" in diameter but only slightly thicker than a piece of cardboard. They didn't bother to ask if we wanted salad or not. They just assumed that we knew that was an option and gave us rice instead. If you're a vegetarian Christian who doesn't give a shit about polluting your planet while serving yourself than this place is great for you. Ordering tips for those who've not been to this restaurant before - Their menu is mostly divided into two types of meals - a combination of a protein with rice and a side salad (the namesake Koriyaki plates), or many types of udon noodles. They also do have a few options for appetizers. Their menu is not very extensive, so you should know that if you're one who's expecting to see many diverse options. Cuisine-wise, it's a combination of Japanese (mostly) and Korean. You get all your meals in to-go containers regardless of dine-in or take-out. You get teriyaki sauce on the side, and you can pick up a few dressing options for salad if you want to. I've tried many of their protein options along with the rice and side salad, including their chicken, beef, chicken katsu, short ribs, pork and most recently, their spicy chicken. My most recent experience was with respect to the last of these, and I must say that the only disappointment that I had was that it wasn't spicy enough to distinguish that from the level of their normal chicken options. And I'm a wimp when it comes to heat, so it definitely wasn't up there with the spice level. Great food. I really like this place. My go to plates are spicy chicken, Korean galbi, and beef plate. You really can't go wrong with any of the plates. My favorite thing to order is the chicken katsu! It's got a good crunch and comes drizzled with katsu sauce. The salmon and the chicken plates are also great. The salmon takes a while since it is cooked to order. The chicken has a great char taste from the grill. They all came with rice and a plain salad (don't forget to get the dressing yourself!) The parking lot can be a bit hectic during lunch times, so try to go a little early to avoid the rush. read more
