This is one of my new favorite sushi spots. They have some nice Happy hour deals till 6. They have these brussels sprouts on the Happy hour menu for like 5 bucks, and they are sooo good. You have to try them. The coconut shrimp is good too. The chef uses his secret sauce for the brussel sprouts .. I definitely asked. Lol. I like the ambience and the service. They are very nice and stay close by if you need something. I also tried the sushi. It was good and fresh. I've tried the salmon, yellowtail, smoked salmon and tuna. I've also tried the specialty roll on the happy hour menu and got warm saki.. I love the feeling of warmth on my belly. 10 out of 10 do recommend. They also bring you the cutest little ice cream dessert. I didn't try it the first time because I was full. But I tried it the next time I went and it was tasty. read more

Great little sushi spot in Coppell. Setting/decor was nicer than expected inside. They had comfortable booths and a huge tv too. The servers were really nice and accommodating. This a lovely picture place that's hidden right in Lewisville/Coppell off of I-35. I personally think it's a wonderful place if you're wanting a date night out. Our recent visit to Sakana Sushi-Sake-Grill was largely delightful. From the moment we stepped in, we appreciated the restaurant's clean ambiance and the warm welcome from the staff, who promptly seated us and served water and gave us the menus to order. We started with our usual vegetable and shrimp tempura in appetizer both perfectly crispy and delicious. And for main we order the Rainbow Roll and California Tempura Roll were also amazing, fresh and expertly prepared. We did notice they have a full bar for drinks including hot & cold sakes, cocktails, wines, beer, etc. They offer a limited happy hours menu daily from 3-6pm as well including drinks. However, a couple of issues did detract from an otherwise excellent meal. We found the wasabi lacked freshness, which was a minor disappointment. More significantly, our hostess was little pushy about clearing dishes, attempting to take plates away while we were still actively eating. This felt rather disrespectful and rushed. Aside from these points, we had no other complaints and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food. Food was reasonably priced and the bill came with two small slices of taiyaki filled with ice cream. This location is very intimate and right off the corner of the strip mall. Immediately upon entering the staff is very pleasant and so accommodating. I had the lychee martini and it was divine. I also ordered the sakana roll, Cajun roll, and seafood dumplings. The rolls were 10/10 and the steamed dumplings were cooked to perfection. My only complaint was the staff constantly come to the table and asked the same question over and over again. I was having lunch with my friends and we were interrupted multiple times. I get the staff wanting to be attentive but at some point we felt rushed to finish our conversation. The quality of the rolls and variety are great especially for the area not being a typical foodie location. read more

In between a 3 and 4. Probbaly lean towards 3 bc it's pretty expensive. The decor is a huge step up from the previous sushi place. The udon is very good. The broth especially is really good. The sushi is pretty fresh, but expensive. I wasn't a a huge fan of the special sushi menu. It's jsut a lot of shrimp tempura, crab roll kind of stuff. Not a lot of fresh fish options beyond yellowtail, tuna, and salmon. But it was very tasty so we will probably be back bc the location is super convenient from the school. This spot is absolutely delicious. The fish is so fresh, the tempura is hot and crispy (made to order). The ginger dressing is on point. I got a lunch bento box so I could have sushi, sashimi and a roll. All were excellent. The hot sake is great. I ordered more tuna sashimi a La carte because they had BLUEFIN TUNA on the menu. This fish is out of this world in flavor. Will also say the temperature of the fish was perfect (you know how it is too warm sometimes depending on the place). Highly recommend. Great service also! Me and my friend came here it wasn't busy only 2 other tables there around 3pm the server took our order as soon as I sat down the food came out very fast we ordered sushi as our appetizer and the bento box with bulgogi and rice with seawood salad, gyoza and salad plus miso soup it was very good my friend ordered the tofu but she didn't like it she said it lacked flavor even the brown sauce that came with it didn't taste like anything overall service was pretty good I had to get the server's attention once because she was watching the Olympics lol we also had 2 Lychee Martini's it was pretty good the drinks and food came out very fast super happy about this before we left another server came to our table and took over we thought the first server should of informed us she was leaving and the other girl was taking over so we knew what was going on but I guess they change shifts regardless We liked this place we will be back again to try more rolls and meals read more

Great new sushi restaurant. Rolls are very large and 1 roll is easily a filling meal for 1 person (maybe some leftovers). The service was very kind and explained the lunch special. Took about 10-15 mins to receive food, even one roll being a fried roll. Favorite roll was the 'crazy boy'! The coconut shrimp on top of the roll was amazing!
