While the ambience is pretty simple and no-frills, the food truly stood out. We ordered three dishes: * Spicy Basil Fried Rice * Pad Prik Khing * Pad Prik Pao All three were fantastic -- flavorful, fresh, and served in generous portions. You can tell the kitchen knows what it's doing when every dish has its own distinct taste and spice profile. The service was fast and friendly, even though we were the only ones there at the time. This Thai place opened close to home and I was very excited to try. The ambiance inside the restaurant looks nice, clean, and simple. The wait time is a little lengthy but totally fine for great Thai food. The pad Thai was excellent the yellow curry however had more onions than anything else and that wasn't what I had hoped for. I will maybe try it again but overall a pretty nice spot minus the overload of onions. read more

Wow. If you are looking for delicious, flavorful, authentic Thai food, then look no further. Thaiburi has got you. We got the beef pad kee mao and chicken pad thai to go. Pickup was ready within 15 minutes (so quick!) There is also a very nice and elegant dining area in the store which would be perfect for date nights or family dinners. Portions are above average for the price and you get solid servings of proteins and vegetables. After the first bite into the pad kee mao, I knew we found our go to spot. Did not disappoint! We tried the chicken pad Thai, chicken fried rice, yellow curry chicken, spring rolls, and Thai coffee. Everything was delicious. The pad Thai had a subtle sweetness that we prefer. The fried rice was savory and a good mixture of protein and vegetable. The curry was tasty with their onions being the highlight for me. The coffee was on the bolder profile, but I have no complaints. The owner offered to remake sweeter if we'd like. The place is very nice and clean, and the service is AMAZING! I believe we were attended by the owner and she was awesome and easy to talk with. It was unfortunate that we had to order takeout as their dine in options is at the moment not available, but that didn't take away from enjoying the food. We definitely plan on returning soon! They are fairly new, and the service can be slow ; single server handling the room can be difficult but they JUST opened lol & the food is worth the wait. ‍ Seem to be a powerhouse duo that runs the spot, woman takes care of service and man is the cook. Decided to stop here today to feed my toddler. I ordered chicken fried rice and when we got the food the rice was super soggy and super smooshed. Was completely not enjoyable at all. My toddler wouldn't even eat it and he loves fried rice. I paid and left the food untouched. Woah!! We live in Turlock but were in Modesto for a few things. We tried this place out for lunch, and oh my goodness! Favorite new spot. Turlock used to have a great Thai restaurant called Juju Thai, but she retired and new owners have a different style with less flavor. This place is 2x BETTER than Juju was! I ate here twice, in June and August 2025. The first time in June was a good experience. The interior is cute, and I think the Christmas tree is a quirky touch, it would be fun if they decorated it differently depending on the month or for a holiday like Valentines and Halloween! For the 3 of us, we ordered pad se-ew, tom yum, bbq pork, and yellow curry. Everything was delicious and we had enough food for to take home as leftovers. I don't remember what we ordered in August, but the food was good too. When I visited in August, the front was run by 2 young girls who looked like high schoolers or maybe college students. They did everything including, but not limited to, seating guests, taking orders, checking up on guests, bussing tables, serving food, taking payments, and to-go orders. I bet there was only one cook in the back trying to cook everything for the late afternoon rush because it took so long for the food to come out too. We were at that restaurant for hours and most of the time we were waiting for our waitress and the food we ordered. We tried being nice about it because it seemed like she didn't have much experience or training, but i want to stress that everything was taking FOREVER. The service was definitely a lot faster in June. Management seriously needs to fix this issue. Honestly, I wouldn't eat here again until the service improves, which is a shame because this is a good spot. read more

I came in looking for decent food, and I got it. Their pad kee mao is pretty good. Just don't get very spicy otherwise, you in for a good time hissing and salivating. Their Thai milk tea is a little sus though, not sure what kind of milk they use but definitely seems thicker texture which is not normally what I'm used to. If you like overpaying for reheated food, this is your place. Perhaps they cook fresh food if you are dining in (I've only placed to go orders), but I've only had one decent meal (out of 4) from this restaurant. For my money, this is the worst Thai restaurant in Modesto. I'm giving them 2 stars because my mom likes their crab Rangoon. Wow... what a gem of a place! My family went for the first time tonight, and I'm already planning my return visit. The restaurant was super clean with a great vibe, the staff was incredibly sweet, and the food? SO good. We ordered the fresh spring rolls and chicken satay to start, and let's just say they disappeared very quickly. I had the Pad See Ew, and it did not disappoint--every bite was delicious. My husband and I usually go to a Thai restaurant here in town, which we love, but we saw the sign for Thaiburi and thought we'd give it a try since the reviews were good. The restaurant is nice and clean, the decor is very sparse. No problem there. The menu is limited compared to what we're used to, but there is variety and we found what we wanted, so no problem there. We were greeted and seated promptly by a very sweet young woman, so that was great! Our water came in sparkling crystal glasses, which was very nice instead of the usual plastic. The food was absolutely delicious and we hardly left a morsel. We had their Pad Thai, and Pad Prik Khing with chicken and sticky rice. We enjoyed every bite. Also, the chicken was clean with no funky stuff as we have experienced at other restaurants (Thai House NOT included) which is super important to me. We did feel the food service time was on the slower side, but not unacceptable. The friendly service more than made up for that. All in all, we are happy to have a good Thai restaurant close to home, it was a good experience, we left full and satisfied, and plan to return. I posted a review before they opened for seating and was there again yesterday with my boyfriend. The service was excellent, the food we ordered (soup and fresh rolls) were delicious! I always loved pumpkin curry and noticed the addition to the menu so we ordered it. Flavor wise it was delicious and the reason I gave it 4 stars is because when something is the main character in a recipe, my expectations is to have a decent amount of it in the dish. I was quite disappointed to find a minimal amount of very small amounts of pumpkin in the dish and lots of curry broth. Other than that, it was good. read more

Ordered Pad basil with squid, you would think for an $18 dish you would have more than a few rings of squid but lots of bell peppers and onions. Everything is so overpriced. Don't get me wrong, I'm more than willing to pay more if it's worth it, so far, none of the dishes were worth the price at all. This is by far the most authentic Asian restaurant in all of Modesto. Most Asian cuisine restaurants in Modesto tend to be fusion but I admire how much Thaiburi sticks to their roots. I got the Pad See Ew dish with chicken and it was amazing, my mom got the Yellow Curry with chicken and loved it as well. It's a little pricier than other thai places that I know of, however, I think it's totally worth it considering how large the portions are and yummy it is! The service was horrible. We stood there waiting for a table while the poor girl had 5 tables to bus. After waiting for a while she sat us at wet table and then left us to keep cleaning. We waited a while longer and then left since she was too busy to bring us waters and menus. Went next door to the Indian restaurant and got fantastic service and food very quickly. read more

OMG finally a thai place near my office! I have been eyeing this gem since I started seeing the construction for it . The food is amazing . Decent portions, and very authentic . I was so excited to see the pink drink (Nom Yen) on the menu. It's a nostalgic Asian drink I use to have all the time as a kid. The waitress was excellent and super sweet!
