First time trying Thaiburi which is located next to the Vallarta Market on Pelandale. Came here on a Sunday afternoon with the place having several customers seated along with steady to go orders being picked up. Decor is very minimalistic but clean in appeaeance. Menu had numerous photos of dishes they offer to give customers an idea of what it looks like and its description. We ordered Chicken satay as an appetizer. It was a good portion of char grilled chicken breast along with white toast and their peanut sauce and cucumber relish. 5 stars Pad Thai with beef- presentation was good. The taste was fine but something about it, didn't make me overwhelmingly eat a lot of it. My wife liked it so I'll give it 4 stars. Pineapple fried rice with chicken- good portion size (we had leftovers). Has a sweetness to it but was expected. 4 stars BBQ Pork - another good portion size that was on a bed of lettuce and served with sticky rice in a foil along with some hot chili sauce. This was my fav because of the char grilled taste and spiciness. 5 stars Wife got a cup of Tom Yum soup with prawns. She liked it with its sour taste to it. 5 stars For dessert, they ran out of the fried banana so tried their sticky rice with vanilla ice cream (Thaibury Khao Tum Mut- Very tasty with coconut milk tasting sticky rice. Good price and portion. 5 stars Overall, great meal and we had lots of leftovers. If I was to remove one item it would be the pineapple rice and stick with plain rice to enjoy the flavors.

Ordered food for pick up. I was able to call in my order ahead of time. Quick and easy. Went to pick up the order and the food was ready by the time I got there (and by the time they have me over the phone). They have quite a selection of foods and from what we ordered the food was absolutely delicious. The papaya salad had so much flavor and was packed November so all the juices didnt spill from the packaging. The noodles we got was fresh, topped nicely. I greatly enjoyed this dish. Also had an order of the Thai Tom yum. Flavor was okay. Although it mostly was broth and not enough meat or any veggies. Overall I thought this place was really good. Ill be back again.

Great service and great food. Will definitely be back for more of that fried rice. It's a small restaurant, but very clean and welcoming.

Once our family arrived we were instantly greeted by a sweet and friendly young lady. She guided us to our seat and handed us our menu. I was glad that they weren't too busy. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The food was delicious and the portion size was good. If we're in the area we would definitely come back.

We were craving Thai food and remembered this quaint spot wasn't in the mood for a rowdy crowded atmosphere and this place was perfect . We got greeted right away and seated . Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and patient with us trying to decide what to eat and did recommend two different appetizers. So we tried their samosas and sausage both excellent. I ended up ordering pad Thai once again extra spicy chicken and tofu . My husband got the thick noodles with chicken and pork . We also ordered some hot Jasmine tea . Everything tasted great . Definitely will give their curry a try next time ,

I am southeast Asian and if you need review please don't get hyped to get food here. It's not worth the drive. Please go to Lao food restaurant instead. I got the Thai boat noodles and the sausage. The sausage was good but I order side of rice. The rice is mushy and not jasmine rice. The sausage sauce is mediocre. The boat noodles came out stuck together. This same boat noodles in SoCal is 18 dollars. That's very pricy for salty noodles.

Beautiful restaurant tucked in at the corner of in and out plaza. Had high expectations and it did not cut it. Spring rolls were cut in a way where all the filling would just fall out. Got the chicken pad Thai and the sauce was odd and most of the noodles were broken unlike having long noodles. Not your typically pad Thai taste. Would recommend Tasty Thai or Kua Lao Thai Kitchen instead.

This is a fancier Thai place as compared to the others in town, no chopsticks instead gold utensils with cloth napkins. Beautiful decor Especially the walls which my wife wants to do something like that in our bedroom. Waitress was courteous, friendly and knew the menu well. She was right and a couple of the dishes were sweeter than my wife would prefer but I thought they were perfect. We had the pot stickers, pad Thai, yellow chicken curry with rice, and green papaya salad. Pot stickers were deep fried and crispy but we prefer Chinese style pan fried which are crispy but still have soft dumpling consistency in the top. Next time we will try the egg rolls. The papaya salad was incredibly fresh and the basil gives it a unique flavor, so good!! The yellow curry we ordered medium spice so I thought it was too spicy and wife not spicy enough. She thought it was a little too sweet but I loved it. Wife asked for more spice so they brought three golden bowls with dry chili peepers flakes, hot chili oil and chili paste which she put on everything, me? I just took the pic!! The curry broth was rich , creamy and so good that you could just eat that as a soup,. The chicken pad Thai came with the noodles, purple cabbage, carrots, scallions and sprouts separate and you mixed them together. Again little too sweet for the wife but perfectly delicious to me and yes she added more spice to that dish also. Overall we had a great. Lunch and can't wait to come back.

This is Thaiburi in Turlock. Food looks nothing like pictures. Don't get fooled. Mango sticky rice looked sad. Tom kha was more on the sweeter side. Pad thai and squid yum was ok. Food presentation could've looked better. Overall 2.5/5

Came in Saturday evening and there was a few customers. Seated for a table of 6ppl. Their decor utensils were so nice (gold theme utensils). Ordered: Pad Thai - good Pad see ew - good Thai basil fried rice - good Roti- good Papaya salad- good not so fermented Thai ice tea- was good and authentic Overall, the food customer service was superb. Surprisingly with this many dish we were all satisfied. We will want to come back and try their other items on the menu.

This is a new place in Modesto. It's a very good Thai place. The ambience is fancy and a bit posh (I like it). The server is very friendly. Service is super fast, and food is amazing. So there's nothing we didn't like. We ordered yellow and red curry, pad thai, pad see ew, mogu mogu (with orange). The yellow curry is very creamy and I can taste the coconut milk, as anyone supposed to. The red curry has a nice little spice kick to it, very well balanced dish comes with bunch of bell peppers. The pad see ew (one of the go-to) is very flavorful, comes with broccoli, carrots. Not the best pad see ew I have had but definitely in top 5. The pad Thai was my favorite here, the best part is they put crushed peanuts and sprouts on the side rather than on the top. Which is amazing as people will have option to top it as they want. The pad Thai noodles were very well seasoned, a must have at this location. We ordered everything with chicken, the chicken is a bit dry but which is pretty normal in Thai dishes (nothing to complaint about). Overall an amazing experience; love this place will go back for sure.

Most authentic Thai food in the area! Flavors were on point. I asked for medium spice on my green papaya salad but it was hot! So many Thai chilies! My mouth was burning but I enjoyed the taste. Once I picked out a few chilies it was a better spice level for me. The fresh spring rolls were large, cut into small pieces and fell apart once you bite it. I would have preferred if it was just cut in half. The pad kee Mao and prik khing had decent medium level spice and great flavor! Service was initially slow bc the restaurant was full but as people left, the service improved.

We were craving Thai food and this place had great reviews. We came in on a Tuesday morning, it quickly got busy during lunch time. The ambience was very calm and cool. Our waitress was awesome, very attentive. The dishes were exactly what we were craving, we had zero complaints. The prices were a little on the higher side but it was good quality food. We will be coming back here again.

Crab Rangoons in the middle. Thai tea on the left and some fruity tasty drink on the right (sorry forgot the name!)

    Ask the Community - Thaiburi

Are the Pad Thai, pineapple rice and curry be prepared without being spicy? We are very sensitive to spicy foods.

I have requested no spicy at other restaurants before and have had no problems. I would be very intentional when ordering and let them know that you are very sensitive to spicy foods. They are very accommodating at this restaurant so you shouldn't…

Apparently they have been in the same spot since they opened. They are in the Rayley's parking lot, on the southeast corner at the end of the building closest to Tully Rd. A very unassuming location, and if you're not looking for it, it is easy to miss. The inside is casual and nothing fancy, but it is clean. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful which is a plus if you are not used to Thai food. Our wait person knew the menu inside and out, and explained things on the menu. She also made some excellent recommendations. Service rating: 5/5. The food was, how-you-say...DELICIOUS?!!! My wife had the Grapao Noodle Kai and was "Loving every minute (bit) of it." 5/5 We shared an order of Kao Pad Kai w/chicken (fried rice). Best damn fried rice I ever had in Modesto hands down! 5/5 I ordered the Keang Panang Kai w/chicken (red curry) dish. It isn't too often that I get pleasantly surprised by a dish that I have never tried before. Usually you kind of know what to expect, even if you have never tried a dish before. At least I do. But this dish was complex with a multi-faceted flavor profile. The only way I can describe it is...a flavor EXPLOSION! 5/5 Overall, the food was full of flavor with generous portions (from the dinner menu), and everything just tasted so fresh. The quality was apparent, and no cross contamination of flavors. Here's an example of what I mean. Have you ever say, ordered a burrito, or a burger from a place and take a bite and suddenly get the brief tase of fish, or some other flavor that should not be part of your dish? That is a cross contamination of flavors. This usually happens when same grill, or wok is used for multiple dishes, and not properly cleaned prior to cooking the next meal. It happens a lot more than you would think, But there was none of that here. Our overall dining experience was 5/5. We will be back!
