The food was amazing! I ordered the pumpkin curry with no meat. It was the perfect blend of spicy and sweetness. The rice was cooked perfect. My husband got the L15- Pad spicy noodles- Pad Kee Mao in medium. It was the best thing I have tasted in a long time! I did not care too much for my Tom Yum Tofu (27) though. In my opinion the sour flavor made the milk taste like it was on the verge of curdling and it was hard for me to enjoy the flavor of the rest of it. Just my opinion though. Staff was nice and prompt. I was beginning to think I just didn't like Thailand's cuisines in general; however, the pad Thai with shrimp and chicken was delectable. A plate alone that will bring me back. The elements of flavor left me wanting more. Reason I'm giving 4 stars rather than 5 is the chicken satay was okay. Just okay. My coworker and I had never tried this place before, so we decided to try something new! Walking in, the atmosphere was very welcoming and cute. It's a quaint space with charm. The staff were very diligent and nice. But honestly, the food was the biggest contender that will have me coming back. Their portions are HUGE, where you can get about 2-3 meals out of one dish. I also want to add that their Thai Tea is pretty delicious too. I will definitely be coming back here in the future to challenge my palette and indulge in more Thai cuisine. read more

The decorations on the walls are pretty. Service was very quick even though there were only two people serving tables. My dad wanted Thai food and we were in the area. Honestly put, the food was average. Most of the dishes were unbalanced in seasoning which is extremely important to me and especially in Thai food. I should have known when my coworkers gave me a weird look when I told them I was going to try this spot out. Alas, what a disappointment. Bland Pad Thai, bland Massaman Curry. Spring rolls were fine but the peanut dipping sauce was also bland. This felt like a Trader Joe's take on Thai food. If you prefer bland versions of dishes that should taste bright and flavorful, then maybe this might appeal to you? I might come back and try something else next time. Update: Yes, I'm aware you can ask for different levels of spiciness. I cook Thai food at home. This is particularly true of curries. The chef has a pre-made curry paste that they can add more of or less of. More means more flavor, but also more spice. Less is blander and less spicy. Tough balance. For my colleague who got Massaman Curry, the wait staff did not ask her how she liked it. It was just ordered and served up without question, except I think they asked what kind of rice she wanted. For Pad Thai this is not the case. Spice is separate from blandness/flavor in the recipe ingredients. You make a Pad Thai sauce in advance, usually with tamarind, fish sauce, soy sauce, sugar, lime juice. Maybe more or less ingredients depending on the recipe. If you want spicy or mild, it's a separate ingredient to add red pepper flakes or Thai bird chilies to the wok before sautéing. On this occasion nobody asked how I wanted my Pad Thai. And why would they? Saying more or less spicy would not have fixed what was wrong with this Pad Thai. This is a nice place for basic chinese american and basic Thai. Great service. Just dinging a star for flat flavor that should have been be a flavor explosion. What would have fixed it? 1. Fresher sauce. Maybe made daily, if not already. 2. Fresher ingredients. Fresh juiced lime (not lemon). Fresh chopped cilantro. Freshly/ daily toasting the peanuts. 3. More sauce. This is probably the easiest fix. For me, the easiest fix is to eat somewhere else. read more

It's a great sign when the restaurant is packed on a Tuesday evening. Even better when the staff was quick to clear a recently vacated booth and seated my party of 4. While we waited for the quick turnaround a friendly "regular" who came in behind us highly recommended the salmon which he said was his "go to" favorite. Although we didn't try the salmon all four of our selections were outstanding. We certainly will return to try out more items from the wide selection on the menu. read more

Been here several times, always during the week because closed on weekends. Lunch served till 3 PM so we went at 130 PM to a light Monday crowd. Going after main lunch thrust made finding free parking easier as this is in downtown Modesto. Ordered Neua Nam Tok, salad with strips of beef and spicy seasoning to start. Ordered medium spicy this time as I made mistake going full spicy previously. Ordered red and green curries with chicken, both lunch portions. Both curry dishes came with a full serving of steamed white rice. The food was excellent, service above average as I ordered a diet coke & received refill without need to ask. We cleaned all 3 plates and I was even pleased to be offered a 2nd refill of diet coke which I politely declined. Bill came put promptly. Total bill $41.04 after tax for 3 dishes and a diet coke was very reasonable. The only things holding up the 5th star is the schedule, being closed weekends is a tough way to build regular clientele. To start off... my husband and I came here because the food looked so good in pictures and we were craving spring rolls! We walked in and did not even wait 1 minute to be seated got seated instantly. We had our food brought to us quickly! First a side salad , then the spring rolls & after our noodles/ pad Thai. The price of the food was very reasonable. We were going to a show at the Gallo Center and this place was not even a block away. We have been craving good Thai food for awhile, we had some OK meals while visiting family in Hawaii. Although we like our local Thai restaurant, we realize it is just OK as well. Finding a good restaurant on a fluke can be like finding a $20 bill at the beach. I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor and freshness of this establishment. When we arrived they were packed, on a Tuesday, and we did not have reservations. They were very friendly and accommodating, we had a table in no time. The staff was very quick and efficient in service of food and drink. The front end of the restaurant was complemented by a very capable back end. The food was prepared well and very fast. We got the tofu spring rolls, very fresh and good portions. Som Tom (green papaya salad) with medium spice, one of the best I've had outside of Thailan. It had great flavor and not sickly sweet or over fish sauced. We finished up with the yellow curry, another good dish for sure. I'm looking forward to coming back to try some noodle / rice dishes and other curries. Found this place on Yelp and saw they offered delivery. Placed an order for Chicken Pad Thai and an order of Spring Rolls (yes, I was that hungry). The online process was awesome, easy (I'm new to ordering delivery food online) I eat Thai food regularly, not necessarily an aficionado but I know when it's good. This was good.... I have really been missing Thai food since moving to Modesto. When my boss recommended we go here, I was skeptical but excited. I choose to have my favorite Thai dish, panang curry and it was really good. Great flavor, mild heat (which is what I asked for due to some recent stomach issues). It was creamy and flavorful. We went at lunch and it wasn't terribly crowded, but it was busy. The service was okay. 4.5 stars LOCATION was in a historic looking area of Modesto. Surrounded by older looking buildings and the tables itself was a lil dated, seats were that old plastic puffy 70s booth. However, they were soft and big enough for 3 of us to seat very comfortably with room for more. I appreciate her honesty though. 3.5/5 stars EGGPLANT WITH BASIL was pretty good. I've had better but I appreciate the effort. Eggplant wasn't soggy which is real important to me. The portions weren't huge but decent. Loved the freshness and composure of all the veggies and it went well when eaten with the curries. 4.5/5 stars SOUR SOUP WITH ADDED COCONUT MILK was the best I've ever had. This is soooo good. The sourness was beyond perfect and I wished I had ordered this for myself and had as much as I wanted. Friend loved this soup and the portions were decent for it being $14. A bowl is $7 or $8, which seems excessive. Why not get quadruple for double the price. I would for sure get this again. 6/5 stars. PANANG CURRY was da bomb! Weird though cuz friend got it mild and hers was way spicier than my mild pumpkin curry. Hers was so good I wished I ordered hers. So much food envy going on today on my part apparently. Anyway...hers was delicious. The way the spicyness danced in unison with the creamy and sweet was perfect. Yes I would def get again. One of the best panang currys I've had in a while. 6/5 stars. Everything here is good if not great- like a 94% perfect Thai place. We had the soup - Tom ka gai and Green Curry with chicken and the beef dish with rice and veggies- it is all great and for Modesto, easily #1 Thai place. It is on par with any Thai place in the Bay Area as well- just a nice atmosphere, nothing special but great food and lovely service from really nice people. read more

When I got there my food was ready and the place was clean. Ok... the bad. The food had no flavor. The pad Thai was bland with very small bits of chicken. The pumpkin curry was also flavorless. Had it not been for the heat(chili pepper) it would have just been a bowl of plain rice with some flavorless vegetables and creamy looking stuff in it.
