Enjoyed a great dinner here. Cozy little place with really nice and attentive staff. Conveniently located downtown and a nice walk from the Doubletree.

I had a wonderful experience at Thailand restaurant on Wednesday. They were speedy and very accommodating to our large group. The food was fantastic, and a great size for a lunch special. I can't wait to go back!

I frequented in this restaurant in the past because it was always amazing. I was transferred to the Napa County system for our company for the last five years. I got back a few months ago and made my way to the restaurant today for lunch and it is still amazing. Parking is a little tough, but you'll find it if you're looking for it. I highly recommend the chicken and shrimp pad Thai four out of five on the heat scale.

No joke, it's my go-to Thai spot in Modesto, and my go-to downtown restaurant. I love this place. From its food, to the service, to the ambiance. I think I've tried all the appetizers and there's not one I don't like. The curries are my absolute fav. Although I've tried the stir fry dishes as well and the soups. Again, all super yummy dishes. Price is reasonable. The service is great too and I absolutely love how they give candies towards the end :) The area might not be the greatest with minimal parking, but there's a parking garage right behind.

It's been almost a year since eating their fantastic food, so I re-installed GrubHub and went ahead and satisfied my cravings. After reading about another Yelper's love for their drug-like peanut sauce, I ordered their Chicken Satay with extra peanut sauce. I almost cried when I spilled the extra sauce to eat with leftovers the next day! Their House Pad Thai, Beef Fried Rice, Egg Rolls, and Tom Kha Kai Soup all satisfied our family--all 10/10.

We came to eat for dinner after having late appointments . We don't know this area but my wife wanted good Thai . Found this place in YELP and took a chance. The service was good, servers were nice and helpful with the menu and we were not rushed even though it was dinner time and lots of people . The good was delish . We had to tell our friends who live not far they need to come

With a party of 5 during noon lunch time on a Friday, we got seated immediately. The waitress were really friendly and attentive. There's lunch menu and varieties of food. It took about less than 10 minutes and our food was out piping hot and so fresh What we ordered: Pad Thai - good to taste Pineapple fried rice- very flavorful Papaya salad (mild) - flavor was perfect and with being mild it was a bit spicy for me Grilled pork- ooh was good Snow pea with corn- delicious Yellow chicken curry- on spot.. very good Thai tea- authentic Overall, I really enjoyed all the food including my guests. Price is reasonable. Service was superb Would definitely come back here again.

Everything was fresh, everything was delicious, everything exceeded our expectations. This felt like a bay area experience right up the street. I never was interested in going there for years since it's been there but decided to try it tonight. Firstly, the ramen place holds maybe 40 at most and we had to wait a while before we were seated. They asked if we had a reservation but didn't think that it would be needed since it's not like a fancy restaurant and I don't know many ramen places that takes reservations. Since we didn't , we got seated on the bar which is fine. For it being in Modesto, they try to get the anime vibe with toys and anime art around. I'm no ramen expert but I've tried over a dozen ramen places in Tokyo, Vancouver, Japan town in LA, San Francisco, Oahu, Seattle just to name a few cities. So we got first the spicy garlic edamame. Not bad at all, had a kick to it and was edible. From a scale of 1 to 5. I'd give it a 5. For the main entree, I wanted the garlic tonkatsu but the waitress said they ran out.... Ok, for a Saturday night at 6 pm, running out of a ramen and they've been in business for several years now?!? never had that happen before in any ramen shop I've been to. So me and my wife both got the Ichiraku ramen which was a miso broth with pork belly. Price $23. I added 2 more pork belly at $5 more. Oh, the waitress mentioned no bamboo shoots and no fish cake........ ok, never had that happen before in a ramen shop. So while eating edamame, I kept track of how long it took we got our ramen.... It took 30 minutes before we got our ramen... definitely atypical to wait that long wait but I guess it's because they offer a lot of items besides ramen. Presentation was fine, the pork belly was seared on one side with a blow torch since I can taste that searing. . It just had green onions, 2 seaweeds and 2 soft boiled eggs which I was impressed the yolk wasn't overcooked. The noodles I chose was thin and was good with a soft texture. The miso broth was average Over all, it was an okay ramen. Me and my wife both didn't finish our bowls... definitely unusual since we love ramen but somehow, it didn't fulfill our satiety to finish and be content. I can tell you that of all the ramen places I've been to. This is average and doesn't compare to Ramen 101 in Modesto that I've ordered many times before my first time here. Sadly, I can only give it 3 stars because the ramen was average and not in the same league as other ramens I've had in other places and cities. And if me and my wife couldn't finish our ramen, that's a tell tale sign it was just okay. Plus, the place is called Konfucius Eats, doesn't have a Japanese name for a restaurant since "Confucius " is a Chinese Philosopher lol. In fact, I didn't see any Japanese or Asian cooks... just saying that's atypical to the other ramen establishments I've been to. For Modesto, it's aight. I just can't see myself going back here for a long time. Lastly, they are open Tuesday to Saturday only .

Had an overnight work trip that had me in Modesto so I was trying to find something fun to eat…read more After a bit of research I found this place. I showed up around 7pm and I thought it might have been closed because no one was here. But they were open. I ordered a Bauer burger with the house seasoned fries. They asked how I'd like the egg cooked and the burger cooked: I asked for medium for both. Given how dead the place was, it did take a minute to get my food. The burger was ok, not worth $21. The bun fell apart very quickly which is a bit of a cardinal sin in the burger game. The bacon on the burger was not bacon strips but a bit of bacon crumble. The patty was a bit overcooked so it was dry and it wasn't seasoned so it was bland. The egg was cooked perfectly, but the aioli and the egg yolk with a disintegrated bun made for a huge mess. The fries were interesting. The house seasoned fries are not salted. So the fries were almost sweet due to the spices, but no salt. And they do not have regular table ketchup or malt vinegar. I did ask for some ketchup and they brought me their house ketchup. While not like a classic ketchup, it was actually quite good. Oh, be aware. They will charge you a 4% fee when they bring you the check (what would have happened if I'd paid with cash?). I do not see anywhere on the menu where they say their is a payment fee so that is a pretty shady business practice. Overall: meh. I think for the price point the burger should have been great, but sadly I can't say it was great or even good. I'd likely not return.

I started out with their house made soda - a sparking strawberry drink that was extremely refreshing. We were there early and had the pleasure of sitting at the counter and talking to Tye - the owner/chef and Shauna the wait staff. Dishes are to share. Tye explained that he serves the dishes in particular order to deliver balance with intensely flavored dishes alternating with milder bites. We started with a simple plate of Marcona almonds, Castelvetrano olives and Manchego cheese. We then enjoyed the cabbage with peanut sauce dish - which may sound unusual but was absolutely delightful. We practically licked the plate - in fact asked for a spoon to capture all of the sauce. Next came whipped feta and ricotta cheese served with thinly sliced stone fruit some chili crisp and honey sprinkled with red walnuts and olive oil. This is served with bread slices. It's hard to describe how delicious and flavorful this dish was with such simple ingredients. We were going to order the steak and chimichurri but were talked into the lamb pops - and we are so glad to have tasted these marvelous lamb chops. They were cooked perfectly. In fact they were so good - we went ahead and ordered the steak too - which was extremely flavorful on its own but served with a fresh house made chimichurri. We also ordered the patatas bravas which were perfectly seasoned and cooked - almost crispy on the outside but creamy on the inside with just a perfect level of heat. We finished the meal with the cinnamon rolls - don't know how they cooked these to perfection so quickly but they were fantastic. Bottom line - how have we not been here before! Most important - we will be back!! Thank you Bauhaus for a great meal and dining experience.

Everything was packed with flavor. The samosas were incredible, the aloo tikki was one of my favorites, and that garlic cheese stuffed naan was absolutely amazing. One thing I really appreciated was that the entrees came out in their own individual serving dishes. Everything looked great and tasted even better. We ended up with a ton of food, plenty of leftovers, and for three people the total was under $100, which was honestly impressive considering how much we ordered.
