Garlic Pepper Beef - Lunch special- 2/16/24
    Priscilla H.

At first, I was excited to stop by and have a quick get up and go lunch, but this was not what I paid for. My total was $20.58. I added a $1.00 tip. It's pay and order at the same time at a counter. I'm eating the Lunch Special, Garlic Pepper Beef. Which came with a side of rice, 2 fried dumplings and a small almost side salad. The Beef was Great but it wasn't accompanied by anything but shredded lettuce which was very confusing because the lettuce under the Beef was also the salad lettuce which just had Peanut sauce on it, not a salad if you ask me. For $20 bucks I wish the Beef, would've at-least had some/ any vegetables (Onion, carrots, just something). Very strange if you ask me. I feel as though Thailicious should consider adding more value to their lunches if they'd like a better lunch crowd. This place closes early so I know it's bread and butter comes from its lunch rush. I'm interested in places that show they can give us what we pay for. Just a simple respect thing. I have added a picture of my food to show what it was after mixing it all up with sauce. Minus the two fried dumplings. I would have been happier otherwise. Try again Thailicious. Please consider the hard working people that frequent the food court. Otherwise, the Ambience is the Polite and helpful cashier & the clean seating area.

    Tom Yum noodle soup

Haven't been here in a long time...since before it was called thailicious. Ordered the Tom yum noodle soup. To my surprise and dismay, it came with egg noodles. Not sure if I had a choice of rice noodle, but they didn't ask me. And the soup is much darker than I've had elsewhere. It's more sweet and spicy than the usual sweet and sour. For $15, it's a pass.

DO NOT order the shrimp wonton soup. It almost has no shrimps but wonton skin only. furthermore, the wonton skin is so old and hard. I have ordered many times because I am working near hear. But the kitchen workers make so make mistakes. They always have wrong meat When I order the food. BTW The cashier is friendly.

Did not like the cashew chicken. It was more of a stew. It did not come close to what a cashew chicken should taste.

Overall fairly good. Curry and Pepsi you know my favorite. Any type of orange chicken dish is not good. Haven't tried anything else.

Other places have passed them by in some respects First there is no sauce bar here. Just four small containers of sauces you can use. Ironically none of those sauces are soy sauce. A darker possible peanut sauce, a sesame sauce, a pinkish possibly fermented tofu sauce and the standard chili oil. I wanted more as far as the sauce goes and I thought a sauce bar was pretty standard these days Second there is no AYCE bar with small snacks. Kind of interesting When ordering the meat, I guess they wanted to save a plate so the sliced meats just came in plastic containers. That loses some points with me on presentation Other than that everything is fine. They charge a little less for the broth than a lot of places do, so that's nice Got vegetables, mushrooms, tofu, noodles and a couple of meats. Overall it's a fine experience, mostly Ok to Good. But the lack of some things makes it more second tier for me and it would not be a go to hot pot place for me

I found this place to be a bit pricey, particularly because almost all the veggies/noodles/non-meats were priced at $4.95. In my opinion, the end pricing should better reflect the ingredient pricing. Service was very bad. We were seated, ordered, and brought the food. We never were spoken to again and had to call over two different staff members to get the bill, then pay for it. They do have large tables for groups. Overall, this is the best hot pot restaurant I have tried so far, but I didn't love it.

Not the first time but very satisfied for our most recent visit here…read more It's been a while since we last ate here and we had family dinner as a party of 10, so we were given a private room with 3 hot pots. We had beef, lamb, and pork slices for hotpot which we ordered 5 each per order. We had two pots original and one spicy. The meat slices were very thin so cooking time wasn't long and we paired it with various sauces, so if you make a good sauce it'll be even better. The buffet selection definitely changed, there's more hot foods and they no longer have mini sausages. I do enjoy their char siu and their varieties. Staff were pretty attentive with making sure our tables are cleared and if we need more meat. Since we were in a private room, they still came by to check on us. Overall, I did enjoy this place and would come again! I think not everyone liked how thin the meat was sliced but I'm fine with it. Ice creams costs money as well.

You choose your own ingredients, portions, broth, and spice level, which is perfect if you're picky or just want complete control over your meal. The pricing is based on weight and comes out to around $15 per pound, which I think is a solid value for a freshly cooked spicy pot. Their beef broth is absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. I found the mild to medium spice level to be the sweet spot, giving the broth a nice kick while still letting all the ingredients shine. The service was great as well. The staff regularly checked on us and offered water refills, which was much appreciated with a spicy meal. The interior is nicely decorated, and they also have a self-serve sauce station where you can customize your sauces and grab as much as you need. Overall, the food was outstanding and the experience was excellent. I would definitely come back again when I'm in the area.

What sets them apart is that they are one of the best values being at $13.99 a pound per bowl of food. With other spots raising their prices it is refreshing to see this place keep it low. One thing I appreciate is that their vast selection of vegetables. Other places I see less variety and this place actually has tong ho chinese veggies. Service for them is fairly efficient. Once you walk inside the restaurant I was quickly greeted and escorted to a table where I can then begin building my bowl for my personal hotpot. I waited less than 10 seconds before I was shown a table on a Saturday night! The ambiance for this place seems to be Chinese themed and very clean. I do like the Chinese decor as it adds to their charm quite a bit when eating. It really makes you feel like you're back in China. Overall, I recommend YinTang over a few other places if you want a no fuss, fast and clean place to eat a bowl of warm malatang. You can't beat it right now at $13.99!

The mushroom soup base is a must--rich, flavorful, and especially perfect when paired with rice. It's one of those broths you actually want to finish, not just cook in. For meats, I always go back to the fatty beef belly and the Angus beef ribeye. Both are high quality, well-sliced, and cook perfectly in the broth--super satisfying every time. Service here has consistently been great. Yes, there's usually a wait, but that's because this place is always packed--it's constantly poppin, and for good reason. The staff keeps things moving and still manages to stay attentive. But honestly, my favorite part? The snack bar. It's such an underrated highlight. They have a variety of snacks available, and I always end up grabbing extras to take with me for later. It just adds to the whole experience and makes it feel like you're getting more than just a meal. Overall, this spot lives up to the hype. Great food, great energy, and definitely worth the wait.

The hostess asked for our information to get us to a table more quickly, which I appreciated. The food options are vast! The basic meats are far cheaper than Hai Di Lao. The sauce and snack bar had many options that I couldn't decide how to build the sauce correctly. The soup bases were good. The cost is good for not having to drive to Hai Di Lao and getting basic meats. What's problematic is getting service. The servers are so busy, it's hard to get their attention. It took more than 10 minutes to get the bill and receipt. I would give this place better stars if they had more servers. Hai Di Lao is far more attentive and the tablet is very helpful. Lastly, the restaurant is small so it feels like you're in everyone's way when you're at the sauce bar.
