    Pandan soy milk

A Vietnamese take out shop that specializes in everything tofu! Fried, soft, drunk, you name, they have it! Upon arriving, it's quite confusing of where I needed to stand/ go to order some fried tofu since I was wanting to buy other items as well. They had a sign saying to order tofu on one side, but no other instruction on how to get back into a regular line to pay afterwards. I gathered my items and went to the tofu side to order my tofu. Then went back to the cash register side to pay. It was my first time there so I didn't know there is a minimum of 2 orders for the tofu, and the staff just pointed to a sign to let me know, rather than verbally communicating with me. Things I got: Pandan soy milk 5/5 - This was a gamble as I don't really know what pandan is but the green colour really got me. And wow! It was so delicious with a sweet and mild taste of what I imagine is how pandan tastes like. Variety of tofu 3/5 - The tofu is alright, with slight flavouring to it. It's not a crispy tofu but kind of just a soft tofu with a fried yellow exterior. Spring rolls 5/5 - These were the best from the shop! Super fresh, hot and crispy. Definitely will be going back for these. Overall, I didn't come during a busy time so I'm not sure how the system/ organization of the store would work if it's packed. The food is good but the soy milk is even better!

I had no clue what to expect from this place, but WOW was I blown away! The spring rolls were pipping hot when I opened it after paying for it. I thought of saving some for later, but my husband and I ended up eating all four in one sitting! The rice noodle/crepe dish was super fresh and and refreshing to eat on a summer day. I have no clue what this dish is called exactly and I am not sure if I am even eating it right. Regardless, I just poured the sauce all over the thing and put the food in my mouth, haha! It truly was a culinary adventure! I would definitely want to come back to this place and try other items on the menu... maybe even asking the ladies behind the counter to explain what I am looking at, haha. Or maybe I should just do some research on Viet food before I return ;) We shall see!

Sometimes you just gotta treat yourselves! On route home from Guelph, we made a quick stop @thanhsontofu, located inside Mississauga Chinese Centre 密西沙加中國城 Thanh Son Tofu is a Vietnamese shop that specializes in tofu treats and many authentic and traditional Vietnamese good eats! Customers and staff were mainly speaking in Vietnamese... I have no idea what they were saying, and I don't know how to pronounce anything LOL After pointing around, and holding up the line, I found myself ordering the following * Sticky rice topped with Vietnamese sausage and ham * Grilled banana stuffed sticky rice (2pcs) with coconut sauce * Pandan flavoured soybean drink * Chè Bà Ba aka Taro, cassava, yams and tapioca in coconut milk * Steamed rice rolls with fish sauce * Crispy rice cake topped with shredded pork, chili flakes and a hint of sweetness * Glutinous rice cake sandwiched bby 2 thiccc slices of Vietnamese ham (my favourite!) CASH ONLY. I think it was worth a visit if you're heading to sauga area!

Ever since my friend brought me here about 2 years ago, coming to Mississauga has become a regular visit. I wish they had another store in Markham. It's a small Vietnamese snack shop that specializes in Soybean drink and Tofu. They also make amazing Vietnamese sausages (Cha) that are so good and reasonably priced at $6 a piece. We always get a jug of their freshly made soybean drink with pandan flavoured which is one of my favorite drink! And I'll definitely pick up a package of Nem Chua (cured pork). This is a bit a pricey for $11 a package of 10 pieces but it's totally worth it because I can't find this anywhere else. There's always a line up here but the wait is fast since everyone knows exactly what they want and there are quite a few staff to take your order.

Got the sugar cane at $4 all in. It wasn't great. There was some lemon & a slight bitter edge. There was a lot of ice & some fibre particles.

It's been a while since I had an authentic Che Ba Mau (Three Colored Dessert) and I finally found the one spot in the Greater Toronto Area that brings back great memories! Thanh Son Tofu is a longtime favourite staple in the Vietnamese community for its soybean items (soybean drink, tofu custard, fried tofu) and savory dishes. Their menu is minimal, but trust me, the quality is excellent in whichever item you order. There is always a line queue outside this place and for good reason! The service is quick and efficient, so don't worry about waiting a long time to get your Che Ba Mau or soybean drink fix!

The sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf. This weight at least 5 lbs.

What a vietnamese hidden gem. I just wish I discovered this area earlier. This store is located inside the Sino Mall. Everything in this store is soo fresh. They have tofu pudding in pandan flavor, soy milk in pandan flavor, so many different desserts, food, salad, and so much more. The steamed rice flour with meat inside were still nice and hot. The spring rolls, tofu, and other fried things were still warm and fresh. I couldnt try all of them. We didnt have anymore space in our stomach. The lady was nice and have so much patience answering all my questions. And the ambiance we feel were like we are inside grocery store in Vietnam because everyone speaks Vietnamese but they were so kind and warmth to us and recommending different food that we should try. Make us feel like we are part of their community. This is not a fancy store but definitely a recommended to visit. As for the food, I dont need to describe anything because it taste outstanding for me. I didnt try all of them and I only based on the food that we bought.

I finally found these rice crackers at this place. I haven't had these in a very long time the last time I had these were in Vietnam and I wasn't able to find them here. I came across this place on Saturday and found that they sell these fresh tasted so good and so addicting. Very crunchy and it has fry pork with a bit of spice definitely a good snack with some drinks

This is the go to spot in Mississauga for fresh soya milk, Vietnamese desserts, a variety of fried tofu and cha lua, and even some take away banh cuon and different kinds of sticky rice. Weekend mornings this place is always jamming. But food is freshly made throughout the day. Prices are reasonable. Coming from Scarborough, where we don't have many Vietnamese home made take out stores, every time I'm in Mississauga I always stock up when I'm here.

Really good xoi khuc! Had the chicken one. Nice mix of rice and mung bean. Great for Vietnamese snack foods and desserts.

    Hot soft tofu....very bad!!!

The restaurant is nicely decorated, and within five minutes it was completely full. My dad ordered the specialty beef bone rice noodle soup. A second bowl came out just for the bone--holy moly! His only complaint was the noodles; he didn't care for the wide noodles. My sister got the bún bò Huế. The broth was excellent and approved by my parents, and it came with a generous amount of meat. My mom ordered bún cá and really enjoyed her meal. Each soup-based dish came with a plate of fresh vegetables. I ordered the grilled specialty platter. It was a lot of food, but everything was delicious. I also tried the salted iced coffee, which was just okay. They accept cash or debit only. The spring rolls were crispy, large, but lacked a bit of taste compared with other restaurants. Overall, both dishes were good as well as the service. I would return to try Pho next time.

So good!! The portion was massive but it didn't leave me feeling sluggish or bloated at all. The chicken was super tender and packed with flavor, egg was cooked to perfection and the veggies were super fresh. Great place to dine if you're looking for a healthier, cozy, late night spot with large portions under $20 per person.
