I had a great experience! Came in to see a Depeche Mode cover band with friends! Not only did the Tribute band cover all my favorite Depeche Mode songs . I heard about this bar by family members. I decided to check it out and I did,however my husband got kicked out for standing and doing nothing. But according to them he was too drunk. My husband was minding his own business while I danced. They ended up taking me off the dance floor and told me I had to leave with him. They were very rude and disrespectful. The bar played good music and did have good drinks,but the staff needs to have a better attitude and be thankful we bring them business. They aren't doing us a favor. They act like there shit doesn't sink. The bar smells bad and needs that carpet taken off. It was so hot in there as well. I asked many times about the AC and they ignored and they laughed. I'm giving this bar a 4 star for the music. No matter what night you go, they'll be playing awesome music that takes you back. If your ok with dismissing the types of crowds that go at times and are willing to just have fun with your partner or your group...then you'll be fine. It's all about having fun! Was here Friday night. The Bar and staff were very welcoming and fun which is rare in this area. The reason I'm giving that 80s bar a 3 is because of the DJ and cleanliness of glassware. Not sure who the DJ was this night but I'm pretty sure my 80s Spotify playlist could have mixed a better 80s mix then his. He was choppy and knew how to clear the dance floor, which is something you don't want to do. Glassware, I'm pretty sure my drinks tasted like soap. We rented an SUV with a driver to bring us here since the sister club is awesome! After waiting for the rest of our party to show up in the parking lot, all 10 of us headed towards the door only to be turned away. The door guy said that we had been drinking and they had seen us from the cameras in the swap meet parking. What a lie, we were in an SUV with tinted windows waiting with the a/c on. It's nice to know that our slurpies would make is unwelcome here. The gentlemen at the door were super rude to us and kept insisting that we were drinking in the parking lot. Umm, it would have been legal for us since we were in a licensed car with a driver. We pretty much just waisted $160 dollars just to be rudely sent away just for us trying to be safe and paying for a driver. I will never come here again. read more

Our night life in Pomona/Montclair has changed dramatically within the past few years. Thankfully, this bar help break the "electro/twerk/paisa" mold and I can come here to enjoy some good 80's music and not worry about paying a ridiculous cover and dealing with cholo drama or "you're not on the VIP list" craziness! Even though the area its located in, isn't the nicest, there is plenty of security and parking. The bartenders are great, the DJs are awesome and the bands range from being cover bands to legit 80's icons. Thursdays - usually no cover unless there is a band, not packed, drink specials! Fridays and Saturdays - cover is $5-10, gets pretty packed, like really really packed... Sundays - no cover, probably one of the "slower" nights, drink specials! I do notice on Sundays there are more guys than gals, but girls don't feel to intimidated, most of the time the dudes are getting action from the waitresses :) (lucckyyy) lol! I would say if you have social phobia start off on a Sunday or Thursday and slowly move up to Friday and Saturday. Also not everyone is dressed up in 80's but those that do go...100 points for you! Plan on giving your liver a work out and bring your dancing shoes! Also the owners do a great job in hearing out concerns and they really do make an effort in changing things! This place has soo much potential. Mr. Sanchez, After attending a birthday celebration at your latest location, I would like to give my perspective on my experience. Cons: Based on the amount of people in attendance on this banner Saturday night, the bar area itself is severely undersized and understaffed. It is not acceptable for a person to have to wait 20 minutes for a drink given that alcohol sales are the life blood of any given bar and club. There should be alot more stations to maximize sales, think old Clockwork Orange in Hollywood! I would have purchased a hellovalot more if I was able to but the damn wait was too long! Why not a beer and cash only bar on the opposite corner? That's well within your target demographic. The restrooms are not being maintained at least every hour, with a 30 minute servicing being the current industry standard for venues of this type. Currently there is only 1 out of 2 urinal stalls in service and a toilet in the men's restroom (and there is only just this one restroom). I found myself having to muddle thru a pond of piss below my shoes at 8:00pm, 10:30pm and 12:30pm inorder to use the one operational urinal. Why the hell there isn't an assigned schedule like every other bar to check stock and mop, is beyond me. An HVAC guy needs to rig the climate control to handle the number of people that fill this hall. On one side there is a cold gusting wind, but on the other it stinks like warm sweat, axe body spray and a tiny bit of shame. Alittle rerouting of the vents and some fine tuning should take care of it. Security doesn't seem to have a set protocol to go by. There should be set guidelines that they follow so that there is consistency throughout the entire team. It pisses everyone off when one bouncer says it's okay to stand somewhere and another to yell "get out of the way!" It was funny to watch but I could easily be mad if it happened to me. If there is a protocol, certainly not every team member has been properly trained on it. If the front bouncer doesn't know how long its going to be until you can get in, he should just say "I don't know". When you guess, the people waiting in line are just going to get pissed when it doesn't happen. Pros: Great music selection! Great pricing on drinks. That 80's club has pledged to not put up with gangs, illegal drugs or any riff-ralf. Many businesses pledge a blind eye in exchange for a higher profit, albeit temporary. In this particular area, without a hard stance, the atmosphere can go awry very quickly. There is a great crowd. Very mixed by age, gender and race. Everyone there just wanted to have a good time. Although parking is across the street in the indoor swap meet parking lot, its lit up and the club has a roaming security guy walking around keeping everyone safe. This place has the potential for some long term success. I'm excited that the Inland Empire has a 80's club without having to drive to Downey, Bellflower or Hollywood to get to. On a side note, although a long line to get in may be taken as an issue by some reviewers, it's really a sign of success and demand. Its really not a pro or con but an indication of the health of the business. AND if business is good, now is the time to fix these small issues before they have the time to fester and give the club a negative reputation. Also, not a pro or con but just a sign of the times is the police presence. Unmarked units were parked at the end of Mills, by the train tracks and across from Holt. And I'm pretty sure the bum/ meth head that prowled the parking lot was Actually a narc talking to a radio mic on his wrist and not to Jesus. We all have designated drivers these days right? Anywho, sure enough we saw a guy get rolled up on immediately after exiting the parking lot at 1:30am. 3 out of 5 because its on the edge of glory. read more

The head of security had a 1.37 gpa and decided he wanted to be relevant for 1 night. His ruling was that I could not enter "his" establishment because I got out of my uber and had a drink in my hand. This place is not in the best part of town yet charges a cover and has over-priced drinks. People must be stupid because they keep paying. The place was packed with people of all ages. Many of whom are not attractive. So good for the bar but not good if you enjoy people watching or looking to meet someone. After a few drinks people start dancing on the stage. Well, gyrating is more like it. Not attractive at all. I don't understand the massive security for this dump of a bar. It's not Hollywood and the majority of the people are there to have fun and not cause trouble. $10 cover charge for Pomona is just ridiculous. Drinks are the same price as Hollywood but as weak as a newborn kitten. Also not enough bar staff for that many people. For that kind of cabbage the owner should invest in an air-conditioning system and a sound system that meets 2016 standards. Just because it's 80's music doesn't mean you have to use equipment from that decade. Music is good, people seem fairly cool. No gangbangers, thugs or criminal types. But not going back. THE STAFF IS UNREASONABLE. At first, we enjoyed this place. We came here for a friend's birthday celebration and dressed up accordingly to the 80s theme. The owner John was actually really cool to talk, while at the bar. But after we stepped outside for some fresh air, the bouncer thought one of my girls was too intoxicated to let her back in. My girl friend was completely coherent and wasn't any more drunk than the majority of the other guests inside the club. I understand that it's the bouncer's job to maintain orderly conduct, but they wouldn't even let her go back in for a couple minutes to use the restroom. She was not acting in a dangerous or unseemly manner nor did she even get any type of warning before getting kicked out, which is what staff of a good, decent club do. Of course the rest of us wouldn't go back in without our friend, so we all stayed outside attempting to reason with the bouncer and manager. Seriously??? We just paid your cover fee... Bought a fishbowl as well as additional drinks and you won't let us come back in to use the restroom? Did you think we were trying to sneak back in to stay in the club or something? lol We were already in the process of calling an uber to leave. It was around 1:30 am and the venue was about to close. We just wanted to use the restroom since we just consumed a bunch of your drinks. As paying guests, they should have at least let us use the restroom. They could have even "accompanied" us to make sure we didn't do anything crazy, since they were accusing my girl friend of being "too drunk." I've been treated with so much more respect at other bars and lounges, which is how it should be. I am absolutely grateful for lounges with staff that have good etiquette. We attended a friends birthday party here. A 1 hour wait to get in and apparently no dress code at all. It was by far the worst bar we have ever been to, definitely not our crowd I guess. Drinks were extremely watered down and security guards were definitely on a power trip except for 1. Security pushed and escorted my wife and I out saying we started a fight seconds after we entered, wth? We asked for the other party which the main security guard refused to comply with until the other party happened to walk out and confirmed we were not them. I truly used to enjoy this place a lot as I had celebrated many special occasions here BUT all it took was one bad experience to say i wont be returning there anymore. They had a special event that night that I didn't know you had to buy tickets in advance to get in so I showed up with a huge crowd to pay for entrance fees. However, being inconsiderate as they were, the management and security never once mentioned to us that we would be waiting in line for hours and probably not get in bc tickets were unavailable for purchase until all persons with advanced tickets were let in. That is so rude. I swear we waited for hours and the brain dead security didn't even bother to mention to us that our chances to get in that night were slim to none. Came here for the first time with a group of friends. They had been here before. I really didn't known what to expect because from the outside, it looked pretty beat up. Boy was I wrong......"never judge a book by its cover", We arrived a little earlier to get a table since we were a bigger group (tables are very limited), and slowly but surely the place got packed. The DJ played great music all night long even in the early stages when only a few gals were dancing, while others were getting their buzz on. Our server Vivian was great, although she did seem to get really busy after 10pm and she visited our table less frequently, but when she did come back, she was apologetic. The Drinks were poured stiff, and the prices were very reasonable. Best part is you don't have to deal with any of the LA Traffic and there much better places to eat some street food in Pomona anyways. We are coming back again read more

Love this place! Great place to order a giant fishbowl cocktail and dance to all your favorite new wave tunes. This place has different theme nights and has live shows on stage. I've seen Missing Persons, When in Rome, Book of Love, and lots of awesome cover bands here. Reasonable cover charge, Good amount of seating (1st come, 1st get) decent sized dance floor, good DJs who take requests, good bartenders, free parking. The bar was easy to locate using GPS. Parking was free across the street at the indoor swap meet and at night its well lite. Outside of the bar looks a little run down. I got there at 7p, waited in line for 5min, paid $10 cover. Door greeter was nice as they showed me to my table with stools, no chairs. My waitress Angie showed up within 5min. Angie was awesome! Talkative and friendly :) Dance floor was small with avg lighting. DJ mix was not that great :( Men's restroom was clean but old. Floor was old but kept clean. Drinks were avg price for a bar. Hubby and I spent Saturday night reliving our youth. In other words we listened to the music we loved during our younger years. Been to the other location (bellflower) and this is way better. The place is larger, stools and chairs located in different corners or the middle section and only booze is served (sorry no chicken wings, nachos, pizza, or any bar type foods). Our server was prompt, courteous, and friendly. Enjoyed the music, the dancing, and I didn't have to drive to bellflower. A bit loud, definitely not a place to chat, but to drink and dance. The have a love band on Saturday nights and there amazing playing a ton of cover songs.. Came here for my cousins bday and would highly recommend this place..
