As I was waiting for it to be done my rep and the mechanic come out and tell me I need brakes and if I wanted them to do it. I had hardly used the RV and the mechanic said that sometimes on GMC'S the brake controller is not right. Well I told them I would take it to my mechanic to have the brakes done. After I dropped the RV off at my mechanic ,they told me to come get it that I didn't need brakes . It was 3 or more years later that I needed brakes. Another incident : I had to have a new roof put on RV (over $10,000). About a year after it was done I went in for my forever warranty inspection and was told the roof needed new seals ($1200).How is this possible they just did the new roof less than a year ago. So, I had them redo seals on roof. Now less then a year later I am getting ready for a trip and my bed is wet. I go up on the roof and the seal on fan over my bed is severly cracked. Call General RV and let them know ( they only warranty seals for 3months). There answer was it was a rough year weather wise for seals. How about that for bullshit!!Every year must be a rough year for seal . It's either that or forbid I say maybe they don't know what they are doing at their work establishment. Needless to say I am going to let my forever warranty expire just so I don't have to deal with such incompetence and thievery. It a shame that we RVer's have to deal with companies like this. However, they did send two gentlemen to my house to look at it. It was determined I would need new slide rails. The gentleman were knowledgeable and friendly. They are not able to get me title or tags since they sold it without first having the title themselves. I paid in full including taxes, fees and title transfer Oct 5, 2018. Now I cannot not use the camper since it doesn't belong to me and my insurance carrier says they won't cover claims. It has been sitting idle in my complex parking lot getting older by the day. After a long battle with Media Camping, their stalling and lies about PennDot working on the issue, I have requested a refund several times in the past month. They refuse a refund since as they say, 'we're still working on getting you a title'. I am 71 years old just hoped to do some traveling. They have scammed me big time. I'm out $7500. for a camper I can't use and now my only option is to hire a lawyer( at great expense) to take these criminals to court. Hard to do on a social security income. I don't lose things, and this was the only time my truck would have been vulnerable to have anything taken with me not around. I politely confronted the new owner, who called in their mechanic, who remembered my truck from the week before, and he denied any knowledge of my JBL headphones. I politely left and would not recommend their business ever again, and I have a big rolodex. The headphones cost more than the job they did. They made no attempt to satisfy me in anyway, which is not what I would have done as a business owner. Its my own fault for trusting their business. I had no issues with the original owner. I left all my tools, Snap On, and never had an issue. I don't trust them.
