Tom and Sabrina told me that all repairs with the exception of the blinds were completed. The only complete repair was the slide motor, the Awning and the drawer under the sink. The refrigerator not only wasn't screwed down, Tom damaged the frame. I asked for the owner, Patrick, but he never responded. Kenny was amazing! He came out to inspect our two campers at my sister's house and to provide a quote to get it ready for the summer. The RV Shop has restored and fixed most of the items on my 2008 Sprinter based Class C by Gulf Stream. This was one of the last "C's" they built as the parts were taken from every model they made, but it meets my needs. A great experience with a professional and technically proficient crew. We required replacement of an over-the-door awning on our Motorcoach, the awning was ordered and a subsequent installation date was set. Sabrina, the technical manager kept us apprised of the awning order status on a continuous basis, and was onsite on the installation date ensuring timely installation and subsequent Quality Assurance prior to turning the MotorCoach back to us. The installation technicians Tom O and Ronnie were able to quickly remove the damaged awning, install the new awning, and work through awning manufacturers issues ensuring a smooth operation of the awning prior to our departure. I don't usually write reviews because many seem forced or written for a reward. But I feel it's important to share my very positive experience at The RV Shop, especially for fellow RVers looking for a trustworthy repair facility that gets the job done right the first time. Even though I live several hours away from New Castle, Delaware, I specifically sought out a shop with the experience needed to diagnose and resolve my issues without requiring multiple return visits. The RV Shop stands out as one of the largest facilities on the East Coast, featuring 80 service bays within an impressive 80,000 square-foot building. Knowing that they service the buses for the Philadelphia Eagles gave me confidence in their expertise to handle my RV with the same high standard. I'm extremely pleased with the service I received. The team at The RV Shop showed great confidence and quickly diagnosed some tricky mechanical and electrical issues in my 2023 Thor Four Winds after a summer of traveling on some very rough roads and mountainous terrain. Diagnosing RV problems can be tough since they endure constant jarring, like a house on a fault line experiencing daily earthquakes. I faced a short caused by a pinched 12V line, which led to power loss in my rear bedroom and bathroom. The technicians diagnosed and fixed the problem swiftly. I also had an issue with my rear camera that turned out to be related to the display screen on my radio. The staff managed to find a perfect replacement by consulting with my RV's manufacturer. Additionally, a TPMS sensor failure was fixed at the same time, which was very convenient. I know RV repairs aren't cheap--it's just part of owning a motorhome. I have an extended service plan, which can be a blessing and a hassle. My plan seemed to complicate the claim process out of their desire to avoid paying a claim, but Sabrina, the senior quality assurance manager, stepped up and handled everything professionally. Her knowledge of the claims process resulted in a quick resolution, making me a very happy camper! The customer service was outstanding. When I arrived, Simon, a service representative, greeted me and guided me through the process and took pictures of all the work to done, including an inventory of some valuable equipment left aboard the RV. Because I had to leave my RV for several days, I needed to rent a car to get home and was honestly a little concerned that the cost of a rental could increase costs significantly. But, The RV Shop fully understood my concerns and kept me informed every step of the way regarding my RV's progress and pickup time. The work was completed on schedule as promised, thereby minimizing my rental car expenses. Though I could have chosen a closer facility, I know from experience that it's essential to find a shop with a high level of expertise and commitment to customer needs. No other place has come close to the outstanding service I received at The RV Shop. As an RV owner, it's crucial to fix issues correctly the first time. That's exactly what I found at The RV Shop, thanks to the management's dedication and the technicians' skill. I DO NOT recommend The RV Shop for service on your camper. I was charged for work that was not completed even AFTER they took the camper back to "make it right" - which they did not! In fact, they wanted me to pay MORE for work and evluations I had ALREADY paid for. In the end, it was a nearly 6 week process that I had to ASK for a refund for. Never again. I was charged 548$ for a circuit board for my rv furnace. I was told that they came from dometic company. After researching the dometic website I was charged more then 3 times the price for the part. I also was not informed of the price prior to installation, as I was told they were busy and forgot. I was told 1 price only later to be charged almost 500$ more because they forgot to add the hefty part price. Total price for service labor and part 1100$ I believe this is taking advantage of your customers. My tech was very nice and I was very nice because at the time I was unaware I was being taken advantage of! read more

I brought my Northern Lite truck camper to this shop for an estimate on a repair to the fridge door which had a broken hinge. I had called the day before and they were willing to see me that day but I scheduled for the next day due to a conflict. I fully expected them to give me an estimate and then schedule for repair after lining it up with the warranty I have. However, Kenny and Tim jumped in and inspected it and said it was a simple fix and they could fix it right away. Jim then told me that there was no charge. I was there for less than 30 minutes. I was flabbergasted to say the least. After dealing with my RV repair shop in Smyrna and leaving my camper there for months at a time before being told they couldn't get it done in time for my next trip just frustrated the hell out of me. These guys did a fantastic job repairing a bent frame of my 2021 RPod 180. The frame was bent by an oversized weight distributing hitch installed by an RV dealer in Maine. They have the frame straighteners and know how to bend the frame to its original position and weld reinforcement metal around the bend. They had the RV repaired within a few days, and we did not miss a trip! Thank you DTR!! While I was there I saw them repairing damaged compartment doors on a large diesel pusher. My furnace wasn't working in the 5th wheel I live in full time. After having 3 other mechanics out to not be able to fix it I called the RV Shop. As it was a very cold day they didn't want me to be without heat any longer and had Kenny come out within a couple hours. He was prompt and very knowledgeable. He explained how the furnace worked and what he was doing each step to diagnose the problem. He did not have the correct part so it was ordered and installed two days later when they received it. Kenny was very patient with all of my questions and gave me advice on better winterizing for next year. Kenny is very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Definitely recommend him to anyone! read more

I would like to share my experience, to help my Full Time RV family. I was displaced for 7 weeks. Should have been 4. The RV Shop in Delaware. Initially, after having an accident in May, we were recommended to The RV Shop and were impressed with their many good reviews. We emphasized that we live full-time in our RV and we were informed that obtaining the necessary parts would take 6 to 8 weeks and repairs would take three weeks for painting and one week for awning installation. Given our circumstances, we decided to continue our travels and planned to return on August 19, allowing ample time to order the necessary parts. However, on June 18, we called for an update and learned that the awnings had not been ordered yet. We were told that they were still trying to get the correct ones due to customization. This lack of communication was initially concerning and we felt it necessary to reach out more frequently and proactively for updates rather than waiting. Our frustration was beginning to grow. As time went by with no progress, we continued to follow up, only to discover that, more than a month later, the parts were still not ordered. When we finally returned and dropped off the RV on August 17, we learned not all parts were in yet. After 11 weeks and 2 days on the road, all parts should have arrived. We found the lack of communication bewildering and unacceptable. We were repeatedly told various excuses and, we believe, some obvious untruths as a window had not been ordered. Upon picking up our RV, the repairs on the back corner had only been partially completed. We had also requested an estimate on another repair to run a satellite cable and never received the estimate after requesting it 3 times. Incredibly, the general manager has the audacity to tell us it was our fault for not obtaining the estimate. He was reminded that they had the ability to give us 2 estimates for roof re-sealing ($2300) and winterizing which we had never requested. They did give us a credit on work which was not performed but that was little consolation as work still needs to be completed. While we understand that unforeseen issues can arise in the repair business, the total lack of effective communication and accountability throughout this process was nothing but disappointing and unprofessional. We had high expectations based on the shop's reputation but our experience fell far, far short. We are still trying to figure out if it was due to not listening to us as a customer or simply not caring about our situation. Suffice to say we will NEVER use their services again and caution others to carefully review and document all conversations with this shop if you intend to utilize their services. They replied with all lies. I have all documents emails and text. I would have Never left Maine, unless I was told all the parts were ordered. Why in the world would I want to be displaced for 7 weeks. read more
