Everyone's talking about their Turkey burgers. Those are loved in my household, but I have to give it up for their beef! It is perfectly seasoned and delicious! I used to get the TAB special a the 4 n 1 but now I get double cheeseburgers because the star really is that hand patted burger. That's a burger indeed. Ok so I never do this but I was so confused and upset about the customer service I received !!!!! I came at 7:32 pm they close at 8:00 pm. So when I walked in to order at 7:32 they told me I could not order because the grill closes at 7:30!!!!! Like why do black business only do this why ?????? You close 8:00 I should be able to walk in and pick place an order at 7:32 without being told we only take orders up until 7:30. If that's the case change your freaking time to 7:30!!!! I'm so disappointed! I have tried to support this family owned business for many years but enough is enough! I purchased two turkey burgers yesterday after calling multiple times to place the order. When you arrive, the burgers are never ready and there is still an additional wait. These burgers were beyond dry! The condiments were thrown on to the point that the bun was soggy and the fries were undercooked. Ive been a loyal customer since they were located on 71st. I have continued to patronize them year after year, one note posted after the next. This star has absolutely nothing to do with the food, its more so the customer service. The posted time for closing on this yelp page and on their door is 8pm, why I haven't the slightest clue. I'm not sure at exactly what time they do this (today was 7:12pm), I'm guessing 7pm but they take the phone off of the hook so that you can no longer call in your order. Their door says that the last walk in order is accepted at 7:30pm, since it's only around the corner I decided to walk there since I couldn't call. Lo and behold their open sign is turned off and the gate is pulled down over the door at 7:19pm, why if your hours clearly state that you close at 8pm???? I have a good mind not to patronize them anymore, I will be calling tomorrow prior to making this decision bc I really don't get it. This place gets a lot of business! I have had the beef burgers and the turkey burgers and after the very 1st time I knew why. These burgers are the truth! Handmade, nice size and fresh. This is my second time here in a week. They are known for there turkey burgers but i order a chicken burger. The fries are always fresh and hot. All the burgers are made to order. You may have to wait for a half an hour but trust me it's worth the wait. Hands down best burger joint in Chicago. I will be back to try the salmon burger... i will keep you posted. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for the longest, but what stopped me was everyone saying how long the wait is. Well, today I gave in....it was definitely worth the 30 minute wait!! The size of the turkey burger was bigger than any of the other places I patronized. The condiments made it very tasty and the bun seemed buttery to me, but it was truly a joy to my taste buds! If you go, go early in the day because they will run out of food. I was looking forward to a good turkey burger but after waiting in line and getting up to the window I was told it would be an hour and a half wait which would put them past closing time. I tried calling to place an order and the line remained busy. I might try another time but I give this place a one star review, if you close at 8 and you say you take your last order at 730 then you should stick to that and make sure you are able to handle customer orders. When That's A Burger opened near my home I was told by several people that the hamburgers tasted great. I had also heard that it sometimes takes a while to get your order... So when I went into the restaurant and ordered a cheese burger and a turkey burger (nothing extra or special) I was told it would be a 25 minute wait. I was hesitant, but placed the order and paid. After waiting over 25 minutes I began to get impatient. It took an HOUR for me to get my order! To say I was upset was an understatement. After getting home and trying the burger I was even more upset! The burger was not bad, but it was not worth an hour long wait... It wasn't even worth a 25 minute wait. Until I hear this establishment has improved it's service I will not return, and will NOT recommend it to anyone. You can go to a sit-down restaurant and get your food quicker than this! Went in for a black bean veggie burger on Saturday and waited over 20min and the burger was still not ready. Ended up coming back over an hour later to pick-up due to my tight schedule. Of course it was cold. I must say it was faster than the one other time I came to this location. I waited 48min and still no black bean burger....ended up getting a refund. This was my very first visit and I have to say that I was very pleased. At first look, the place is clean and looks very appealing. The service was good, as well, with the order taker informing me that there would be a 30 minute wait and explaining (when I asked why) that they had many call in orders before mine and they cook the food to order. I said ok and waited after placing my order. It actually took 10 to 15 minutes before my number was called. I got the turkey cheddar cheeseburger with everything, that comes with fries and it was delicious! It tasted like they use very fresh ingredients and while the burger itself was not overly seasoned, it was perfect with the toppings. It is a substantial burger, not one of those little flat stingy things you may find at other establishments, and it was very filling. Fries come with all burgers and those were good as well.
