I took my 1965 Riviera in for 2 items on 4/24/24. One was to repair the button to open the trunk and the other was to find out why it was hard to start when cold. I was asked if I wanted an inspection. I agreed to that and was aware that it was going to be a charge for 4 labor hours. 1 month later I received an estimate of work totaling $3500. I agreed to that work and paid $2400 to have the work started. From that point forward it was a nightmare. I was called on June 10th to bring more money due to the many electrical issues. I paid $2500. On June 25th I was told they needed $5K more due to the repairs that had already been completed. I wasn't advised of this and felt I had no choice but to pay it. I assumed this would be the end of it. The next conversation came on July 26th where they were just now working on the hard to start issue. They felt it was the carburetor and another $1K. All communication stopped after this point. I called and visited mutiple times and finally got some action on October 8th. Of course, another $1k was needed. When I went to leave with the car, the shaved door handles did not work. They worked when I brought it there. They looked into the problem and felt it was the solenoid inside the doors. Another $1k. I picked it up on 10/24/24 (6 months from dropoff) and still the doors did not open correctly. It was clear to me they had no idea how ro work on something other than the "common" classics like a Mustang. I took my car home so that I can find someone who actually knows what they are doing and doesn't bleed the customer dry monetarily. If I would have known that $3500 was going to balloon to 4 times that amount, I would have never taken it there. I had seen their full page back cover advertisement in Cruisn News and thought they were reputable. I notice they no longer advertise with that publication. I share my story so that others will know what to expect when taking a car there for work. read more

1930 Model A - We dropped off our family heirloom 1930 Model A to have some mechanical work done: tuned the steering box, dialed in the brakes, greased all the fittings, oil pan, installed a new battery swapped out the horn, oil change, all around freshening up and getting caught up on maintenance. I scheduled a time for my car to get towed in after speaking with the service advisor. I had detailed the work I wanted completed on my car, the quote was high but I was stuck so I approved his quote anyways. Upon picking up my car the cost was doubled the initial quote! They told me they charge Time & Labor (means bend over) Needless to say I wouldn't recommend this shop. I understand being off a little off on your quote but this is highway robbery. read more

Scam artist...quoted one price after getting Detailed pictures of project. We delivered the car to His shop where it sat for over a month without Any work being done or phone call with update. Somewhat frustrated I showed up at the shop To get an update at which time he said he needed To re-quote the job and would email an updated price. New quote $63,000 not $30,000 he originally Quoted. I understand being off a little off on your Quote but more than double is just ridiculous. Needless to say I wouldn't recommend this shop. read more

my paint job was good. but things they said could be repaired. after over a year. they tell me they could not line the rea axel up. they also did a very poor job of repairing the exhaust system that was damaged/. none of the ehaust lines up and was repaired very poorly. read more

Had my vinyl top replaced for n$1880.00. Less than a year later started to come unglued. Charged for material that was not replaced. Frank the owner is just a con man. Will not stand behind his work. In writing he states he will warranty it for as long as i own the car. read more

I have a 1964 nova that needed some work done it. After checking around with all my car people on who does some of the best work around. I was told that if I wanted the work done right to go to That"s Minor Custom. I made a appointment to speak to Frank the owner. After seeing the cars in his shop and the kind of work he was doing I was convinced his shop was the one I wanted working on my car. He kept me informed every step of the way and color matched the car so well I could not tell where he started or where it ended. The results have been two shows and two BEST of Show awards.
