Enchiladas Michoacanas y carne asada platter
    Paolo B.

An amazing addition to Tres Pinos beyond bar food or a gourmet steakhouse. About 12 tables are situated inside this quaint restaurant. Part of a larger chain, this place is smaller and more intimate. The chips are an assortment of different types of corn. All fresh and warm. The salsa was tasty. The carne asada platter was excellent. Rice and beans were a little different than your normal Mexican restaurant. Beans not all blended & mashed up. The rice had some corn & peas mixed in - nice touch & texture. The enchiladas Michoacanas were 3 small chicken & cheese enchiladas and a side of super tender carne asada. No wasted rice and beans on this combo plate. Huge assortment of Mexican beers, sodas & juices. Margaritas are generous and delicious. Best Mexican restaurant in San Benito County - soon to be a line out the door every night! Open daily until 10 pm. Take out available.

Complimentary chips & really killer salsa. Will order salsa for take out next time.

Those were the worst fish tacos I've ever had, and ridiculously overpriced. Won't stop there again for food, that's for sure!

White tablecloths, cozy booths, elegant decor, smooth music floating in the background... the whole place has classic old-school steakhouse energy in the best possible way. The bar area was already lively when we arrived around 4:50 p.m., and little by little the dining room filled up too. For a small town, this place was humming. Always a reassuring sign when hungry hikers are making important dinner decisions. Carmen, our server, was absolutely superb. Warm, professional, genuinely friendly, and her recommendations were spot on. The kind of service that quietly elevates the whole evening without making a performance out of it. We shared a ribeye with peppercorn sauce, a pear and prosciutto salad, and a deeply decadent chocolate dessert because apparently our bodies decided we had "earned it" after the trails. Honestly? Fair. The steak was beautifully prepared, flavorful and satisfying. The salad balanced everything nicely, and dessert fully committed to richness without apology. The only small miss for me was the mashed potatoes, which could have used a touch more creaminess. They seemed emotionally reserved. I also had a Manhattan that was expertly crafted, smooth, balanced, and exactly the kind of cocktail you want while sinking into a booth after miles of hiking. We genuinely enjoyed ourselves here. It felt less like dinner and more like a reward ceremony for surviving the trails, the sun, and our knees negotiating every downhill section.
