The new shower products are an upgrade from the old ones. The reason my rating is low; The main issue I have here is that I frequently see people taking selfies in the locker room. I used to complain about it, but management doesn't seem to do anything. I get an email that it's serious or a phone call and I appreciate it, but nothing seems to happen. Just today, I went through the locker room to go to the party that the gym was having, and I saw a girl taking selfies in the locker room. Other women were changing there, so it wasn't like she was all alone. It's super easy to get photos of people changing in the background. I have easily seen people taking selfies in the locker room at least a dozen of times in the last couple years. We change there. We don't have our clothes on. Why is it okay to take a photo? Even if you aren't intending to photograph others, which most people aren't, people can easily show up in the background. It makes me so uncomfortable. I avoid changing in the locker room now, or if I do, I try to hide in the back. Changing in the bathroom stalls isn't easy because things can fall into the toilet and changing in the shower is wet and the showers sometimes get crowded. It has decreased how much I value this gym, and I am hesitant to recommend it to others. I pay a lot for the gym and amenities, but if I have to constantly look over my shoulder, it ruins the experience. And when I do shower here, I have to bring clothes I can immediately change into in the shower to minimize walking around undressed in case someone decides to take a selfie and I happen to be in the reflection in the mirror. This also limits my ability to do stuff in the locker room like put lotion on. If I complain, I feel l get labeled as a "Karen". Staff doesn't seem to care. People get upset if you talk to them, and I shouldn't have to. I get emails from management that they take this seriously, but if they did they could at least put prominent signs on the mirrors in the locker rooms or have staff members remind women in the locker room not to take photos.

The gym is very well laid out and has all the equipment you could need. Tons of machines, a large free weight area with benches, a few heavy duty squat racks, cardio machines and a nice turf area. They also offer fitnesses classes, and apparently even have a sauna and a cold tub, but I didn't get a chance to use it. The gym is very clean, including the change rooms. I've tried everything--from traditional gyms to ClassPass and CrossFit, until my sister introduced me to Ark Fit. The facility has all the equipment you could need, but what truly sets this place apart are the coaches + staff. They have created a warm, welcoming environment and built a supportive community. Open gym is always a vibe and kept so clean. The classes are as challenging as you want them to be, and coaches meet you where you're at. Every coach brings the same positive energy, understanding, and kindness to each class. Regardless of your fitness level, you'll never feel lost or left behind. If you're looking for a gym that combines expert coaching, an incredible community, and a truly welcoming atmosphere, Ark Fit is the place to be.

It's very very large and they also have an opportunity for people who play basketball to bring their teams here. It is primarily for volleyball and is set up for volleyball. There were at least 200 women participating today and many many parents as well. It was great to see out high school junior get an award as well after participating in the showcase. We understand that love volleyball is a partner of this prep dig showcase and that's great to know. They also have a really, really nice café and the café is great because you can order different types of food and they have plenty of refreshments. And Alani can of energy drink cost us five dollars. But it's the good brand so I'd rather pay that then go down the street and get one for six dollars. Also, they have a very large cafeteria area where their café is and they also do açai bowls here. Overall, this is a great facility and I wonder if they do sports birthday parties or sports events here. There are plenty of banquet tables in the side gallery area next to all the courts and they are set up to have eight people per table they're that big. I want to say there are about 10 banquet tables in this area set up right now. They probably could set up about 12 to 15.

I expected the coach to help each student develop and progress, but unfortunately, that was not our experience. There was no scrimmaging or actual game practice, and the coach seemed more focused on finishing the session quickly than paying attention to each child's individual skill level. The class included kids ranging from complete beginners to intermediate players, yet everyone was taught at the same very basic beginner level. My child already had some experience, but instead of building on her existing skills, she was repeatedly given beginner-level instruction. I really feel that her time here did not help her improve at all. If your child is an intermediate or more advanced player and you are looking for real skill development, I would not recommend this program. On top of that, the building was very warm and had no air conditioning, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. Overall, I'm very unhappy with the lack of coaching, individual attention, and skill development. Unfortunately, we definitely will not be returning.

The workouts are strong, but that's not the differentiator. The community is. You see the same people consistently, and over time it becomes a tight, supportive group. It's rare to find a gym where you actually look forward to who's going to be there, not just what's programmed. Programming is thoughtful and well-balanced -- strength + high-intensity cardio -- and it never gets stale. Chris (owner/instructor) is especially good at reading people and pushing you just past where you think your limit is. You end up doing more than you expected, regularly. There's also real connection beyond the floor. They organize occasional events -- I recently did a cooking class with ~20 women from the gym -- and it adds another layer to the experience. I've always been active, but this is the first time in 20+ years I've been this consistent. That's not accidental -- it's because of the environment. If you want a place that will push you, keep you accountable, and make you want to show up, this is it.

I love walking into the gym not knowing what to expect, and being surprised by a new challenge each time. It keeps things fresh, fun, and far from boring--even after all these years! They've also added some new equipment, which has taken the workouts to another level--more dynamic, more engaging, and definitely more effective. The thought and creativity put into each class really show. This place isn't just a gym--it's a community and a source of daily motivation for both physical and mental health. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fitness routine that keeps you on your toes.

The pool is useless if you are serious swimmer. Frequently 90°, I'm overheating after 300 yards. This pool is for geriatrics and kids. Also for their pool parties but not for real swimmers. Workout area is great, lots of racks. I hate the lighting though. The ceiling is covered in outdoor parking lights. I don't think it bothers anyone else but it's offensive to me. I wish there were designated stretching areas but you can stretch in front of your rack if that's where you are working out otherwise you just have to find a space. The locker room is bad, too crowded. Not enough lockers. Not enough toilets. The sauna - horrible. It only holds 8 people at a time, the steam room is even worse 5, if that. The showers are decent, plenty of room to do what you need to do. I've only done cycle classes, they are basically HITT workouts high RPM, High heart rate, but only 45 minutes. I understand that recruiters are often busy and screening many candidates, but first impressions matter. Regardless of whether someone is hired, applicants deserve to be treated with professionalism and respect.

However, only when we arrived at 6:30 from Newport, did the front desk staff bother to mention that all courts were booked from 7-8. Even so, I was okay with that at first, we will just play until 7 and wait to play from 8-9. However, the front desk staff told us that we would have to pay for racket rentals twice (!) for the two "sessions". When we asked if we could just pay once ($7 per racket is already expensive, especially for dead strings), they refused. Not only that, we were asked to stop playing on more than one court, despite there being multiple courts empty at the time. And we were rushed out immediately after the 30 minute session that we settled for (despite still! open courts). I understand that policy and conflicting reservations may be a problem. But when I am just wanting to bring my family to a place with open courts at the time and a simple request of not wanting to pay twice for a rental in the same day, I think some leniency is due. In other facilities, I have never experienced this kind of treatment, especially such cold communication from the front desk. Please consider going to another badminton gym. :(
