I heard from a few people that this was a great place to go for pizza. So I gave it a shot with my boyfriend (because pizza is his life). We came in today and ordered a small bbq pizza, cheese steak sand which, and a shrimp po boy. It did take awhile for the food to come out, but it was so worth the wait. I took a slice of pizza and it was cooked very nicely and all the toppings for it was great. I had a couple of slices and moved onto my main entree, the shrimp po boy. I don't generally see this option in a lot of places, so I got it because I haven't had one in a long time. The shrimp itself were not tiny baby popcorn shrimp, but they were medium sized and not completely coated in bread. They were fried perfectly, soft and juicy. The sauce that came with it made the whole sandwich better. My only complaint is that I could have used more of that sauce! I didn't try my boyfriends sandwich, but he really liked it. We both had ranch chips and they were SO good. We couldn't stop eating them. I had to stop because I was too full, but he kept going. Sadly, we were too full to try dessert. read more

I have been here multiple times over the last 30 years. Most people I know love it even though they do not have too many good things to say. I have a few examples of why I do not like it here. I have had on two seperate times the wax casing in the pepperoni pizza not removed. Another time I had two draft beers and was the sickest I've ever been after. But the final stray was being assaulted by another patrol completely unprovoked. The manager then had the audacity to try and make me leave while I was on the phone with police, as the assailant was a regular customer. I will never come back here, and will continue to discourage anyone from patronizing this establishment. read more

We were tired and cranky when we decided to try 4 Corners. The vibe was fun when we went inside and our waitress, M, was very nice and helpful. With loose cannon and public ale on tap, this place is on my map. The chili was thick, And like Clyde's Chili both sweet and mildly spicy, Served piping hot with the best oyster crackers in the world and Lots of beans. The very good waitress was amazed at my wife's nails which change colors with the temperature. She was never Asked before what meat is in their meatballs. Made my first visit since the re-opening and I have to say that I came away impressed!! The place is A LOT cleaner and brighter. And the men's room was a TON cleaner. Food Should Not Be Frustrating I first patronized the 4 Corners Pub after they fed healthcare workers at my wife's hospital. Great guys, right? The food's great, too, as it turns out. But, I've been back four times since, and had issues on three of those trips. A lunchtime pizza that arrived 20 minutes after promised making me let for a meeting. A dinner hour pick-up that sat ready so long it came out to me cold. And this afternoon I ordered a half-baked pizza to avoid the Super Bowl rush, and received a veggie pizza loaded with pepperoni. Solid neighborhood hangout. We came here for a football game, which I think is the optimal use of this establishment. The atmosphere during games is very friendly and positive but also has a nice buzz to it. The place is clean and spacious enough, and the service has been very friendly. Parking can be a bit tricky with the non-standard lot configuration, but I've always found a spot. The brew selection is a bit meagre, but gets the job done and is fairly priced. I liked the pizza less than other reviewers seem to, and since there are few other vegetarian options I'm not likely to come here for a meal. But if I'm going to the neighborhood bar for a meal, then I'm not really thinking things through now am I? Suggestion: Red Maple next door for dinner, 4CP after for drinks and snacks. I sooooo want to like this place more than I do. In some respects it really is a great little neighborhood bar - the kind of place that is becoming altogether too rare. The owners really put a lot of love into this place and have done a fantastic job at being a great part of the local community. Earlier in the evenings in the pre-pandemic days it was the kind of place you'd find tables full of families and their kids eating pizzas and later at night, locals sitting around the bar watching Nats and Caps games on TV and happy to talk to a friendly stranger. They also have a small-but-decent rotating selection of MoCo brewed beers. The pizza is a classic Maryland style - rectangular with more of a biscuity crust...basically, the same style as Ledo's. Some folks love it, some folks hate it. The problem that we've found is that this style of pizza is awful for take-out. When they serve it in-house, it comes out in the pan it was cooked in. This helps keep the crust crispy, although the longer it sits, the more likely it will be that the crust will start to turn to mush, in part because of the style of crust, but also because the pizza is really overly greasy. When it comes to take-out, that is guranteed to be the result - by the time you get home, the crust essentially disolves altogether. The wings aren't bad, but are a bit on the small side. Weirdly enough, one time we ordered wings and just said medium heat. We received barbecue wings. The person on the phone said medium didn't mrean medium buffalo wings but actually meant barbecue wings. This was even more confusing since barbecue flavored wings are listed seperately on the menu. We got a BLT once and the bacon was burnt to a crisp. Most of the menu is just heavy fried stuff. On the one hand, I suppose there is a place for a generic menu of bar food standards, however, on the other hand, generic bar food standards tend to be unhealthy, and mostly taste of salt and grease. Weirdly enough, they occassionally have a pit beef sandwich as a special on Fridays that is one of the bets pit beef sandwiches I've ever had - easily as good as anything I've ever had at Chap's. Damn shame they don't have that as a regular item. The cocktail list reads like something from the '90's - all super-sweet and full of artificially flavored booze. IMO, this place works best as a place to stop in and have a few beers with friends. If there is a game that has some local importance, such as a UMD hoops game or a Nats playoff game, there's plenty of TVs and a great atmosphere of local fans. read more

Pizza takes longer but is 110% worth the wait. Parking is a challenge but worth it. We relocated here from Boston, and my husband was looking for a place to watch football since we didn't have our stuff moved in yet. He did some google searching and came across the 4 Corners Pub. There is a tv in every nook and cranny, and on game day, every game is on. In the dining area, we had fans watching their teams - Cowboys, Steelers, Vikings, Pats, Eagles, Rams.... and everyone was getting along beautifully. It was like a peaceable kingdom, with Old Bay Wings. Good beers on tap - 4 local rotating brews, which have been different every time I've been there. I do love the Old Bay Wings but my daughter thinks they are too salty (to get you to drink more local beers, I guess). Burgers, Sandwiches, Crab Chowder, and the Fried Fish have all been great. Staff is polite and kind. Overall, a nice neighborhood pub with good fare and football. Just my style. read more

This neighborhood hang is excellent for a casual family or friend night. They offer a large menu with food that is far better than the typical bar can offer. Hats of to Spencer(owner) and his staff for making us feel at home every time we are there. When they're busy it is challenging to find a comfortable place to wait, so I recommend large parties plan in advance(especially on tues and thurs). TLDR: awesome "cheers" like bar with excellent food, drinks, and service. They get busy bec of their popularity, so sometimes you may experience a wait before being seated. read more

BEWARE!!! DO NOT USE YOUR CREDIT CARD HERE!! While we waited for our waiter to return with our credit card after eating dinner, someone at the pub used our card to charge merchandize at a far away store. We brought proof of this to the manager who did nothing, said he would investigate and call us back which he did not. We explained that part of our reason for bringing it to his attention was to alert him that he had a thief working for him. His answer "well we don't know that." I've realized that everytime I come to this bar I'm the only person of color here although we are in the most diverse area in MD. After my experience the last couple pf times without White table mates I realize that its because people of color are treated differently here than others. I jad to ask for napkins for my food after it arrived, but the White family to my left received silverware before their food came. I was told there was a shift change, and was the only person asked to pay my check, but my server remained working on the floor at least one hour return. I will not return ever. read more

Took the family here on New Years eve. Tons of kids in the place; definitely a family friendly pub. There is a 'adult' bar side, plus a restaurant family side. All the normal bar staples... good wings and an ok beer selection. I'd definitely come back for the mid-week / happy hour specials. This is a pretty laid back place. We went for happy hour after work, since it's close. The special was $1 off from draft beers and a special happy hour food menu. Having eaten way too much for a way too late lunch I opted for some beer and avoided the snacks. The beer list is short and it's not necessarily a good place if you're a beer snob (guilty...) The wine list was OK and there seemed to be some sort of happy hour wine special too, although I didn't see much I was wanting to try. It's got kind of a dive-y feel so it's not a place you go for wine. The service was ok. The place was hopping so it was less attentive than what I had hoped for. I asked for the "tab for my two beers" and they brought me two beers instead. The guy told me next time to ask for the check instead. There was also several people coming by our table so I'm not sure who actually our server was supposed to be. That isnt' a criticism. I left a little big bigger of a tip though since we had a few people waiting on us. It seemed clean. The bathrooms were pretty clean for as dive-y as it was too, which was welcome. The food that my table ordered looked greasy and like "bar food" so I'm glad I didn't partake. It's not my style. I should have tasted the buffalo chicken dip just so I could comment on it, but I didn't... My main criticisms was the wait staff was slighly inattentive and some of them acted like it was a bother to be there, the drinks list was small and unfocused, and the food looked very greasy. Overall, my impression is this is a place that if it's convenient and you've got friends going, you could definitely have a good time. My family came here for the first time for a late dinner on a Thursday night, and the place was pretty full. It's a lively scene, and a lot of the people at the bar seem to know each other. The best part is that the food was surprisingly good, and they have a nice selection of draft beers. Food prices are reasonable, too. Most of us had the fish and chips which was excellent - one very large piece of haddock with good and ample steak fries and a tiny cup of very good cole slaw. The cream of crab soup was tasty and had enough crab to know it was in there, although the base was a little thicker than I prefer. My husband had a cold roast beef special sandwich and enjoyed it. As a note, I always thought this was called The Corner Pub, but it is the same place. Parking can be very tight, and you may have to park on the street a few blocks away. read more

My family loves the 4 Corners Pub. We have celebrated with our children's sports teams, met our old friends at the the bar, and even have gone there after a funeral. Now my children are going to that bar. You usually know someone when you come in. The pizza was always a plus. Recently things have changed as time moves on. The menu is expanded. They have smoked BBQ & ribs -check availability since they smoke their meat. Gourmet style pizza specials, fish taco's Friday, during Lent, which we love. Some fantastic vegetable specials, the brussel sprouts are splendid. Watch their video's on Facebook for specials. They are worth the watch and will bring a smile to your face. Yelp says the pub closes at 1am, it should say "whenever we want" Last night my friend was celebrating her birthday here with a group of friends. We chose this place because it was in the area and it closed at 1am. However, I ended up getting there at 11pm just in time for a beer and a shot for the birthday girl and I. The bartender just announced last call.. what?! At 11pm? I asked the bartender why was he announcing last call if the bar is opened until 1am? His response: we close based on people at the bar. Half the bar was full and if the table we had were at the bar it would take up the other half. Whatever it was a lame excuse for a lazy restaurant. Will not be returning to this bar. As far as I can remember this place as been a staple in 4 corners. Since moving to Baltimore for school I hadn't been in awhile and found out that they had closed and reopened under new management! It was a little bittersweet but I hoped it was the same old corner pub I had grown up with. A fresh coat of paint and you're good to go! Unfortunately, we happened to walk in during a old high school reunion that took up the WHOLE seating area. Starving and since we already grabbed a tabled we decided to stay. It was very loud and crowded, because this place is so popular in 4 corners they do tend to have a lot of parties. I was actually AMAZED at how great the service was even with such a huge party. Those servers definitely got a good tip from me, I would be running around like a chicken with my head cut off. The food was very slow to come out, as expected, since the party ordered about 10 pizzas and pitchers of beer every 2 mins. The food itself is pretty good. They're known for their pizza, I've actually never tried anything else before. Why mess up a good thing? We did order a side of onion rings that we're pretty good, nothing special or over the top. Typical bar food. You get a choice of 2 toppings with your pizza and then it's like 50cents for every extra veggie topping and $1.50 for every meat topping. We ordered a large pizza split between four people with sausage (which was pretty small pieces, don't expect real Italian sausage or anything), ham, mushrooms & onions. Like I said, pretty good. Not really speciality pizza more of just bar food. But it was only $13! Which was a good price for all of that. For Montgomery County/DC area the drinks are very reasonable! For 4 people (3 beers, 2 sodas, and a large 4 topping pizza) the bill was only $35. How can you not like the Corner Pub!? read more

We hadn't been to The 4 Corners Pub for years. Last time it was a smoky dive under different management and a different name. It's now a cozy pub with warm sconces, soft lighting, nicely spaced tables. Music could have been a little lower, but whatever. They didn't have my favorite wine but the waitress said the bartender could make me a spritzer. It was good. And as usual, husband enjoyed a beer. We started with wings which were pretty good. I think we may not have made the best choice with our pizza. It was a little busy and the sauce was a little sweeter than what I like. The service was good. Small touch, the waitress brought extra napkins without our having to ask. Looking forward to going back and trying some other dishes. read more

This is 5 stars for being what it is, the best hang out bar in the Silver Spring area. The food is fairly standard pub grub, but all executed very well, and they always have a couple/few dishes that are a little more unusual if you are bored with standard pub fare. The service, bartenders, and crowd are what get this place over the top to five stars. The crowd is full of regulars but almost all of them are very friendly a quick to include newcomers. The bartenders are fast and learn the patrons and their drinks quickly (if you are consistent with your order). Overall, it just a great mix of bar crowd and families jamming the dining room that make this seem like the neighborhood bar everyone wishes they had. read more

Run of a meal bar just outside of downtown Silver Spring. I came in on a Monday night for quick drinks after a season ending softball game. I had the burger, it was cooked well and apparently 40% off because it was a Monday night. The burger was seasoned well and juicy enough. Fries were just okay, cooked have been cooked a littler harder and salted a little more. Not much else to be say about 4 Corners, nice chill spot to grab a beer and a bite and enjoy a game or two. read more

Me & my bf have been looking for a nice pub bar near our home and didn't even know this place was here!!! I'm so happy they renovated and we know of this place now. We had a meal and some beer here, but plan on returning frequently. It's quiet, GREAT bar, nice pizza, yummy appetizers, and none of the shady clientele you get at Stained Glass Pub in Glenmont. Parking is few and far between but I'm sure you can hide your car in one of the neighborhoods. I just hope this place stays quiet!!! read more
