This neighborhood gem has quickly become my go-to bar since moving back to Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn. Since the first day going, I've been treated like I've been a patron for years. The staff really knows how to make you feel welcome which goes a long way in my book. Booze wise, you can't ask for more. The craft beer choices are local and constantly rotate. The drinks are strong and inexpensive (amazing bloody Mary's by the way). You can even get a hot pretzel or tasty grilled cheese if you're looking for a bite. I love this place, and am so happy to have it in the neighborhood. Windsor Terrace is lovely and quiet and residential, and while I'd like it to stay that way, I can't complain about high quality additions like The Adirondack joining the neighborhood. Everyone that works here is always pleasant, they let you sample a beer before committing, and even when it's full, the clientele it attracts are never obnoxious. Music tends to be great and I love the warm cozy cabin feel of the place. My husband and I like to stop in here for a couple post-work drinks on Friday nights, and we are never disappointed. My only wish is that they could offer more food (though pickles and pretzels and the few sandwiches on the menu are awesome). I wish this because we would sit here a lot longer if there was more than just snacks, but it's probably better for our livers and waistlines that they don't. Though I'd say this bar is exceptional for beer drinkers, they've got a nice list of cocktails, wines and the young guy with the beard made me an excellent dirty vodka martini, so I think anyone would be happy here. But, if you're a beer drinker, this is a good place to find a new and exciting Empire State brew. read more

It's really nice to be able to walk into a place and be greeted by friendly bartenders who make great recommendations for what to satiate your take for a beer you've never tried before. Being able to easily park my bike outside is a nice bonus for after riding through Prospect Park! read more

I feel like this is starting to become the Double Windsor that no one really knows about yet and I hope it stays that way. I live nearby and there aren't a whole lot of options in the area. But the area of Windsor Terrace/Kensington is blooming and this is a solid craft bar that we desperately needed. Each time I've been in there has been a solid rotating craft beer menu. Usually always see Finback, Rockaway, Other Half brewery on tap. Some more interesting ones like Third Rail's Alternate Side. A dollar off all brews before 7pm and $4 wells. They also have a pac man game in the corner. But overall, I think its a very homey - neighborhood type bar and that's what makes me come back. They have a small bar menu of panini sandwiches and hot pretzels, pickles, and olives as well for the ravenous. The inside has paintings of some fresh piney mountain scapes atop little alcoves off to the side of the bar for more communal seating. We were looking for some light fare, nearby, and not too loud or overcrowded.. Toss in It being Friday, looked like a night for 'Seamless'.. Then I remembered about the Adirondack.. When we arrived, outside seating was available, so I knew they weren't packed. We ventured inside to find a few open tables, seated ourselves, & browsed the offerings. Stylish, rustic accented decor, but not overdone or gaudy.. As an outdoors type, I loved it. Up at the bar, I placed our order, and grabbed our drinks. Soon after, our food was served. Nothing fancy, baskets for serving plates. Solid, good tasting comfort food at great prices. The grilled cheese was very good. Crispy, gooey, with a substantial amount of cheese. As I 'grilled cheese' chef myself, I know having that much cheese usually means a big mess, but they managed to have it completely melted, and but not ooosing all over with every bite.. Perfect!! The BBQ chicken sandwich was good as well, similar to the grilled cheese, less cheese though, but filled with chopped chicken coated a rich tangy Stubb's style BBQ sauce.. It hit the spot, balanced beautifully against my Rockaway 'Black Gold' Stout.. Really looking forward to my next visit.. read more

What a find. This place came merely out of curiosity on Google map (never had been on the Windsor Terrace side of the park). The holy grail if you like NY state beers and ciders. Very happy to find this spot....good music and a very good natured bartending staff. Suggestion would be to bring in some foods that reflect upstate NY as well...(get some Glazier hot dogs and make Michigans). Adirondack Image is one thing...back it up with some food. The Adirondack bar is a sweet surprise in my quaint little neighborhood of Windsor Terrace. It's the kind of bar that has a lot of old school charm. The service and drinks are great and the bartenders are always very friendly and helpful. You'll find your local regulars as well as young groups of people. If you're ever in the area or just finished up a BBQ at Prospect park and want to keep the party going, this a great option! They have indoor and outdoor seating and right next to a subway stop for the G and F. All of their drinks are well-priced and the selection of draft beers, wines and specialty drinks will keep you satisfied. It's also a great first stop if you're ever on that strip. Just across the street is Della which is more of a fancy sit down amazing dinner spot. So why not pre-game or wait for your table across the street at the Adirondack? Extra bonus- it's right above the subway steps at the back end of the Ft. Hamilton pkwy stop. Did I mention they take credit cards?! Just a perfect little bar. The bar is tiny, but there is some outdoor seating for spillover. They're very cool about playing whatever you ask on the TV and the drinks are very good. There's just enough food so you won't go home hungry. There's not much in the way of bars around here, but we're lucky to have a great bar in a pinch. read more

This is a very woody/cozy bar with lovely light. Windsor Terrace has been waiting for a place like this for years: a true neighborhood bar. The atmosphere is casual/friendly. The cocktails are skillfully executed by expert bartenders. The beer selection is, well, select. There is some light food -- but we go there for the martinis. I went here for the first time on a first date. The atmosphere is really nice and cozy. The vibe you want to go for a Sunday night and on a first date. It took us awhile to get the drinks from the bartenders which was surprising because there was maybe only like a total of five customers there. The bartender (Kristen I think? Petite, long brown hair. She mentioned she is the bar manager.) was friendly in the beginning and very personable, despite being obviously drunk and quite possibly on something. Later in the night she inserts herself into the date and sits down at our table without asking us or anything. She offered us drugs. Then started to berate us. Initially talking my date down, when she realized what she was doing and she apologized and gave us free drinks and but still wouldn't leave us alone and kept saying "I was going too far. I was about to hurt everyone's feelings." As soon as I went to the bathroom, she came to my date and started to talk negatively about me and calling me a bitch, and trying to analyze me. I was able to hear all of this because the bathroom is located right next to the table. As soon as I got out she ran off. After that I had enough so I left. I really wouldn't go here again, and I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here either. read more

Fun bar with a great beer selection and outdoor seating. There are definitely some older regulars who frequent this place (at least until it blows up and becomes the obnoxious go-to hipster spot in the area). They have a ton of awesome board games you can play (including my personal favorites Settlers and Ticket to Ride). There's also a Ms. Pacman machine table, and a cute nook in the back. read more

This place is down the block from my house and I love it here. I've lived in the area for four years and I was so excited when they transformed a crappy coffee shop no one went to, into an adorable local hang. They have plenty of seating inside which includes small tables and nooks which would be great for a date as well as high top seating for larger groups, they also have outside seating (weather permitting) on a quiet street which is great for people watching. This place has friendly owners/bartenders that make fantastic cocktails with fresh ingredients on top of their fun beer selection. It's located two blocks away from Prospect Park, so it's a great spot to stop for drinks, snacks or sandwiches if you're doing the loop around the park. We went to Adirondack on Saturday, October 27, 2018. I had read nice things about this place on Grub Street and was looking forward to going. Unfortunately, the bartender was a little drunk, probably a little tired and, unfortunately, a lot rude. (As an explanation, the bartender told me she had been working since 11:00 AM.) While at the bar to order, my girlfriend was told that she'd "get to her in a minute" while the bartender texted. After making her wait for what was to long, the bartender said "oh, I know. It's so hard. Isn't it love?" I told the bartender that I'd like to settle up and she asked if it was my friend who had gotten upset. I said "yes" and that I now had to leave. The bartender apologized to my girlfriend, returned my credit card and generously offered to give us our four drinks free of charge. I thanked her and paid her $40 in cash anyway. So, we left and it sucked. We had been having such a good time up until then. read more

We have all heard about the infamous self-entitled park slope parents. This bar is their Mecca. Parents love to go here with their children!? There is absolutely nothing for kids to do here. they barely have food because this is a BAR. i've seen couples doing cheers over the head of the baby they have strapped to their chest. My friend saw someone with their baby hanging on the back of their chair while they drank, like a backpack. The employees have an attitude that they are doing you a favor to be serving you a drink. Bottom line if you enjoy having a drink to the screams of children and babies crying or you're a parent who likes to get drunk in front of your kids go here. read more
