I came here for the first time last night, and had a damn good time. The music was excellent, and had me singing along the whole time. They played a mix of 80's, and alternative, and a random punk song. Gets crowded as hell, you have to fight your way to the bar. The bartenders made some strong drinks, one was drunk as hell and cracking jokes. She was hilarious, and friendly. The other one with the leopard tattoo had an attitude problem. Ladies, if you come with a group of girls be prepared to be eye fucked like no other. The guys here are skeezy. There is a dance floor but it gets super crowded, and it makes it hard to get to the restroom. All in all a good time was had, and we will be back! read more

This place is pretty legit. No cover, and drinks are pretty cheap. I love the vibe in here, hella chill, and sometimes there's bands playing in the back. You can also choose music in the jukebox, and since I heard that this place had a more rockabilly feel to it, I was surprised that Bloc Party and Rock En Español ended up playing on it. I've made this a go to spot when I don't want to go to DTLA to go to a bar and when I don't want to spend too much money on drinks. read more

$2 Tuesdays!! enough said! This place is awesome, except if you come in late. Why? the place is small, so room isn't an option. If you decide to come, make sure to be there before 10 to get a place to sit, or else you will be standing and have people trying to get through all the time. read more

How could you not love $2 Happy hour? That's the main reason why my friend and I came back for a second time. I wanted to try it after seeing that it was sort of close to my house and divey. It's pretty small but they play good dance-able 80's music. The drinks are nice and cheap until 10pm. Gotta love it. This is a good place to come to pre-party. I probably wouldn't stay here the whole night and I haven't yet because it's small, unless you like standing around and watching nobody on a tiny dance floor. I've only pretty much been here from 8pm to 11pm, then gone somewhere else. Who knows? It could be crazy fun after 11. But I'm definitely a fan and enjoy my time in here. read more

Two stars, why you ask? Well the night was going great up until closing time. This was my first time ever attending this establishment and the music was great they had AC blasting and kept the place cool specially since it was a hot day! Good vibes all around except when it came to ordering drinks!! The bartender who served us more than once was drunk off her a$$ and couldn't even open her eyes to say the least! As a result of this I got charged $66 for two drinks and a shot!!! Now this is no high end establishment for me to get charged that crazy amount for two drinks and a shot! Once I saw what my total was of course I said something and I did ask to speak to a manager and if one wasn't present then I would have gone back the next day to get this resolved! The lady with the cheetah tattoos claimed she was the manager and apologized for the mistake and would have the girl fix it, I said ok please do! Now a couple days later I check my bank statement and instead of her fixing it she just split my charges into two!!! So I'm still getting charged $66 for two damn drinks!!! RIDICULOUS!!!! Not to mention the two fights that broke out at the end of the night one right next to me at the bar while I'm trying to fix this stupid situation and another outside!!! Never going back to this place ever! I've never had a worse experience with a bartender in my life! read more

Came here on vacation, being from Las Vegas I did not expect to like any bar as much as I did here . The music is great ! Love all the rock en espansol music they were playing ! The d.j definitely knew what to play . The people were friendly. The drinks were cheap and patron shots for 8 bucks was awesome ! The only reason I did not give 5 stars were the bartenders, the 2 girls were slow . Waited 10 mins for 2 shots of patron . Other then that I would for sure for back ! ! ! read more

Rolled up on Labor day (Sunday Night) and walked in saw that it was pretty busy for such a little place. Ive been here before on Monday (live band) which I like, Tuesday ($2 BEER) cant go wrong with that and been here on a Thursday (80's night) which is chill. I honestly cant complain about this place but it has its flaws. Tables/Bar tops take to much space from the floor, the lack of awareness of knowing when to cut someone off from drinking alittle too much, and needs to improve the girl to guy ratio. I'm not sure how I feel about this place. Lemme just start by saying, its not my scene. We were invited here for one of my best friend's birthday. Its her hang out. I'm not sure why b/c she doesn't really fit in with the decor of the joint. She's much more Mexican Holly Golightly and less Mexican Rocker Chick. But she likes it. I will say that the staff was very nice and friendly. We stuck out like "black" sore thumbs, but we felt comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The drinks were cheap. And I loved watching VH1 classics on the tv. For a neighborhood bar, its a cool joint. read more

80s night is really cool and the people are friendly, it's a very small place and can get a bit crowed but the vibe is awesome. I ordered an Adios it wasn't the greatest I'd stick with the beer, they have Mississippi Mud and other great selections of beer and the price is really cheap. read more

I used to go here often, and would still if my current bf enjoyed the music they have. In fact, that's probably the #1 reason I went-they have (at least I think they still have) an AWESOME selection of music on a jukebox. Plus the peeps who frequent the place (the punks, goths, altie looking) are my kind of peeps. Also major plus is I live only a few minutes away, so I don't have to go far to get home. Yes the drink specials are great; I recall them being generous with the booze. So definitely go if you want a good drink, hear some great rock and punk music-so rare these days-and just hang. It's not really a pick-up bar, but I guess anything could happen. Definitely not another dance club that's for sure, and that is a refreshing change. Great drink specials...especially on Tuesdays! Live karaoke with a live band. Only downside is that it gets super crowded, hard to find parking, and pretty loud inside. Great music selection if you like punk, rockabilly, rock, etc. I would definitely recommend it! read more

This place is like a time capsule. It never changes. Great juke box, cheap drinks. It's dark, has lots of rock n roll paraphernalia all over the walls. So what's not to like? The bartenders treat you great with happy faces. The house band "the burn" is always a nice touch to a low key Monday night. read more

This place is one of my all time favorite watering holes for many reasons. I've had many great memories with many friends here from all walks of life. The fact that it's down the street from my moms was just a bonus. This place wasn't always as bustling as it is today. We use to go have a few drinks & laughs here with locals. Now many come from far & wide to this little black box which has always played a great selection of Punk Rock, Rhythm & Blues, Reggae, Ska, 80's & Rock en Español. Mondays are great to go sing here with a live band. $2 Tuesdays have always panned out well. Reggae on Weds. 80's on Thursdays.. And the other nights, bands and shit..
