Bill ended up being $151 with tip and tax which was not bad. Service was overall good and they came by quickly. They serve us warm rolls which was really good. I tried not to eat too much as we had more food to eat. The calamari was okay, just typical small with the red pasta sauce. The oysters were amazing however and wanted more. The pork chop was okay as there were some places that were dried. I did enjoy the spinach however and could not get enough. The cioppino was the star of the show as my wife really enjoyed it and ate most of it. She said the tomato was not sour and onion too and had a sweet taste to it. I used to go happy here all the time, until they confined it to the bar only...usually only 6-7 seats at the bar and it was very hard to get into. We decided to try and get on the bar, and when we went to the desk, the hostess told us we could sit at a table like we had before. This was just great. Happy hour menu only has a few items, but it works for us. They only have 5 dollar wines and a few craft cocktails...no beer. We opted for the Cab Sav and it was quite good. We both got the prime rib sliders...these are hands down the best in town...yes they are 15 dollars...but they are three huge sliders with au jus and the rolls they put them on are heavenly. I'd heard over and over again that The Angry Butcher is a place to try if you're in the mood for a great steak with a great price, and amazing service. We finally made it to have a family meal. The Angry Butcher wasn't too crazy busy when we walked in, so we were seated right away- but there was a giant party so I figured we would probably to wait for our server if they also had that table. We were seated and given glasses of water and waited a while for our server who took our drinks. After several minutes of waiting our server came back and apologized for the wait and advised that they were also handling the large party so they apologized in advanced since it might be a while. We were understanding, and were not expecting the best service, since it was a huge party. We ordered the calamari, crab and lobster cakes, Caesar salad, and the lobster chowder to share. We each got a filet mignon, two were going to be medium well, while the other two medium and added mashed potatoes, classic oscar style, and of course, those rolls whenever we got a chance to ask for more. Our server did their best, we did have to send a steak back, but the food was great. The chowder is a must try. The other three steaks were great and tasty, and the Caesar salad was enough for the entire table to share and take home. All portions at The Angry Butcher are huge and enough to share. The steaks were beautifully cut and cooked, and even with the one we had to return, we enjoyed our meal. While the service was a bit rocky, and our poor server seemed stress, we had a great time! We ate, we were able to try a variety of their menu, our server was great, and we were also very grateful they did their best with how busy they were. A hidden gem located in Sam's Town Casino. We opted to sit on the patio and it was beautiful. The plants and waterfall displayed a great ambiance as if you're outside. We absolutely love The Angry Butcher and come every time we're in Las Vegas, a couple few times if we're staying at the hotel or KOA! We've always had a stellar experience with the food from appetizers to entrees and of course desert! Service can be a bit haughty, not sure if that's the nature of the beast or just the restaurants "style" but it's been that way every time! On our most recent visit we enjoyed the patio, which we always request, and were treated to two fountain shows during our meal! We were immediately given ice water and a basket of bread, I absolutely love that! No waiting, no asking, just service! We started with espresso martinis and a bowl of the rich, decadent lobster chowder, no better way to start! Hubby had the ribeye (as usual) and I opted for a wedge salad and the short rib appetizer, no entree this time as the chowder filled me up! The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly and the short rib literally melted in my mouth. The grits were a bit thin, needed a spoon to eat them, but still had a nice mild flavor to let the rib shine. Great service horrible food. The overpriced steak was extremely grisly plus tuff. They do not know the difference between medium and rare. The meat was not good quality at all. The lobster Mac and cheese had a overwhelming smell and taste like fishy. Stomach problems right away so that answers the issue of was the lobster spoiled. The better half this time around went with the French Onion Soup and Salad as her entree, but she enjoyed Cream Spinach, part of my Prime Rib, and there were mushrooms that were divine! Family shared some sides, as well as desserts - all decadent and delicious. We decided to go to The Angry Butcher. We were married at Sam's Town and had our reception dinner there. Our reservation was at 6 pm. We got there early and had to wait for a table. No big deal. We were seated during their 6 o'clock show. Our waiter, Carlos, took our dinner and drink order. After 30 minutes of nothing happening, I started to wonder about dinner. Others that came in after us were already being served. The 7 o'clock show started and still no food. Just as we asked for a manager, our food came out. At this point we were ready to leave. Carlos asked if we wanted the food and I said I wanted the manager. He kept asking if we wanted the food and I kept asking for the manager. He left and 8 minutes later, the manager shows up. I would give you his name but he never introduced himself. He was the rudest manager ever. His attitude showed he could not have cared less so we just got up and left. read more

We have a mixed review. We came for my Dad's 81 birthday as he lives in Boulder City and really enjoys the Angry Butcher. When we arrived for our reservation, we only had to wait about 5 minutes and the four of us were seated. The service was terrific. We had gentleman who wore a mask so it was a little difficult to hear, but he was very nice and fun. We started with Caesar salad which was good. For entrées, Dad and I ordered the shrimp and scallops meal, Susi ordered the half chicken and my husband ordered the ribeye steak with a side, baked potato, asparagus and mushrooms. The steak that came out was not very impressive. It was not a very thick cut and it was kind of stringy. The seasoning was fine, but nothing exceptional. For a $10 baked potato, it was just a baked potato. It did have some nice toppings, but the butter was ice cold. The mushrooms were good, but we really like it when they get almost a little crispy. The asparagus was excellent! Susi enjoyed her chicken dinner and the sides that accompanied it. She had plenty to take home for leftovers. The shining star of all the entrées was the shrimp and scallops with the spinach underneath in a wonderful sauce. My dad doesn't even care for spinach, but he ate some of it because the sauce was so good. They surprised us by bringing out a lovely dessert to share of homemade vanilla bean ice cream with strawberries and whip whipped cream. We thought we were too full to eat dessert, but we did polish up most of it. Overall, it was a 3.5 experience. It was noisy near our table with kitchen sounds. My stepmother had to take her hearing aids out because it bothered her. The steak and all the sides being a la cart was very expensive and a little disappointing, but the other meals were very good. I suspect we'll be back next year for Dad's 92nd birthday. I'll make sure we sit far away from the kitchen if possible. The 10 minute light show is very nice. read more

My friend flew in from NJ to celebrate my 75th birthday. A very special day, We did not have a reservation but arrived @4:15, just minutes after they opened. Not busy at all. We had to wait an extra hour even though we had made reservations weeks in advance. But during the holiday's people do tend to enjoy dinner with family and it just took longer for our table to be free. The food was large plates and honestly could have been shared between three people. I had ordered the turkey dinner and it was like they put a whole turkey on there. The gravy though was not to my liking. It was too heavy but I'm sure some people would enjoy that. The table bread was a little bit dry as well and wish it had better flavor. We also ordered oysters on the table but they tasted a little bit different than what we have had. They were the large-sized but very strong smell of the ocean. The front of the restaurant has a faux outdoor dining area with views of the atrium and the mountain area with the electronic animals. For an appetizer I had the lobster bisque. It was OK but nothing phenomenal. For my meal I had the 7 ounce filet mignon. It was cooked very well and it was delicious. For my side I had the mac & cheese. It was average at best.
