Food and ambiance are amazing. Feels homey yet sophisticated. Ordered a French martini and a signature scotch cocktail and just appetizers to share (Shiitake Wellington, Duck Eggs, Fried Oysters, and Duck Poutine). Everything you can tell is curated and designed with the consumer in mind. Love that they keep the theme of wild game across it all. Live bluegrass also a plus! I will say that service can be a little bit slow- maybe it's a way to signify staying a while and enjoying, but for us on a Wednesday night, we had another itinerary to keep. When service was requested, we were always well taken care of. Would highly recommend all things considered!

I came here on a Friday night around 7:30. It was fairly busy, but we were lucky to grab one of the last remaining tables available without a reservation. In addition to tables for dining, they have bar seating, as well as a standing room only section. They have an awesome cocktail menu with a lot of variety. I tried the salamis straits. It was fruity, but not too sweet. I didn't really taste the chai flavor, but enjoyed it nonetheless. My husband got the old orchard buck and swears the ginger in it cured his headache, so take that for what you will. To eat, I had the southern fried hen o' the woods. Our waiter raved that it was one of his favorite dishes and it did not disappoint. The succulent mushroom was fried in a remarkably well-seasoned batter. It was plated on a bed of buttery mushroom risotto. The dish was wonderfully flavorful. My husband got the dry aged bleu burger and found it tasty, but would've preferred a few more toppings. They have single stall bathrooms, which were clean. Worth a visit if in the area!

What a pleasant surprise! Our usual spot was closed today so we stumbled on The Archer. We ordered the Southwest and the Spare Change. YES! So delicious. This is exactly why i leave my house and take a drive to find the perfect cocktail! Our server was patient as we had a lot of questions about the meat on the menu. For example: we've never had elk or venison. We ordered the Brussels sprouts salad, lamb chop, and a side of fries. All things we were familiar with to keep it safe. ALL delicious and paired perfectly with our drinks. We got a second order of fries to keep the salty snacking with our second round of drinks. This was a low lit bar with 90s tracks playing. Will for sure keep this spot in mind if our usual location isn't available.

Really dope spot to grab a nice cocktail or few in the night. The tables give a very romantic feel with the candlelights. The lights are dim in the evening, so the environment is just great. I had the Caracara while my girl had the Apples to Oranges. Really great pours. I'll definitely be back here and clearly this is a popular weekend spot.

The ambiance would be great for a date night because it's dark and cozy. We went for happy hour drinks and got the old fashioned & bees knees. The drinks were great. Maybe we didn't order the best things but I could probably pass on the food if I came back. The duck poutine, Shiitake Wellington, chicken liver foie gras mousse were all fun to try but were just things to nibble on. Nothing crazy.

Great bar, chill local vibe. Top-notch drinks by the mixologist here. Perfect place for drinks and light eats with friends.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the dark, sexy candlelit ambience this place is!!! Their menu matches the vibe as they have a selection of gamier meat choices which is a really nice change of pace. We got the Mac n cheese and duck poutine- both so delicious. I want to try everything on this menu and the service was super attentive! Also, our drinks were great. We got the

You know how New Yorkers talk mad ish about Jersey... So, I get off at Grove Street (off the Path), and I'm immediately greeted by live music, vendors and all around happy people. I didn't realize the Jersey had an entire area dedicated to people for the streets. Ha! And what I mean by that is their open streets concept but done better than NYC. I was able to walk carefree without worrying about getting hit by a car, a motorcycle or a delivery truck. I was at peace and there were a ton of cute bars, cafes, restaurants, seating areas and smiling faces. Picture Disneyland, a small world after all...but life size...and they card and Apple Pay. lol We stopped into a place called The Archer for happy hour. The charcuterie options are pre-selected so you don't have to hurt your brain trying to figure out what meats, cheeses or accouterments to select. And I love that for me. Their happy hour cocktails are so yummy. They got indoor and outdoor seating. The inside was dark and gave a completely different feel than being outside where the sun is shining so we waited for a coveted outside table. I enjoyed the entire charcuterie board and an oyster. Everything was good, service was great and I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Great spot for a date or for a small crew. Food is unique and worth the money and the cocktails are pricey but totally delicious. It's dark so make sure you don't use this place to meet your internet date for the first time. KnowwhatI'msayin...

Loved this place! The vibe was great. Very moody, dim lit, rustic. I love their bottle display. I had an amazing drink named after a famous trumpeter I believe. I may be wrong. But Emmanuel the bartender was so nice and helpful. He recommended the drink I had and it did not fail! I want to come back again soon!

We love the Archer. The menu changes every few months, our current favorite is the collard green sandwich. It's vegetarian friendly and easily splittable between two people. Comes with chips that melt in your mouth. Cocktails are consistently good, and regular mixed drinks are solid as well. Decor is fun--pretty sure the taxidermy is fake but they decorate it seasonally. There's a cool fireplace too.

It delivered on both fronts, but I really was blown away by the wine. The sheer quantity of available wines is really impressive, and the sommelier was able to recommend a rare wine that fit our interests (a fantastic, effervescent, creamy Txakoli that had lovely fruit and minerals). Later, I tried amazing ice cider. The food rundown: -Sesame pizza Bianca: complimentary bread! This was very good and quite sizable. The bottom is entirely encrusted with sesame. -Scallop crudo (rhubarb, shiso): very good and the plating was gorgeous. Meaty scallops with tangy and pungent flavors. -Snowdance chicken (spinach, sherry, thyme): Super tender, crispy-skinned chicken in a savory sherry sauce. -Sea bass (asparagus, hollandaise): I was surprised at how remarkably well this dish worked. The asparagus was so good with the rich, buttery sauce. Definitely a smaller portion, but the chicken was huge so it balanced out. -Potatoes with ramps: Yum. Served hashbrown-style and the ramps were added as little sauce dollops. I loved the space, and by that I mean the ambience and also the literal amount of space we had to ourselves. We got to stretch out in a roomy corner booth. The room featured a lot of exposed brick and grey and utilitarian ceilings, but it manages to be cozy all the same.

We came in on a Friday evening and it was pretty quiet inside. After we were sat down upstairs, it took a long time for our waitress to come to take our order. We got the Butterscotch flip, Getaway driver, and Big trouble. These drinks were not it. Although the prices are okay($19 each), they definitely need some improvement. All three had very strong flavors that were not balanced with the rest of the drink. After we finished our drinks, we waited an especially long time for the waitress to come back, check on us, and give us our bill. It was especially frustrating because we were the only ones in the bar at this point and we could hear them chatting downstairs. Overall, both service and the drinks need improvement.
