I received services from Carrie Von Loudon for my wedding. First off they made reschedule my trial and when I did get my trial she scheduled me when she was teaching a class so she had to stop many times and it took a very long time and I did not receive 100% of HER time! I felt it was not personable at all! Then came the day of my wedding. She 20 minutes late. Upon signing my contract I was told there would be a team of makeup artists and hair stylists to accommodate my large party of 7 including myself. The people who came were Carrie and a couple of her students and no hair stylists. My bridal party was not satisfied with there makeup. Carrie seemed to be very assertive and pushy with her opinion and made grunting noises as though our opinions of how we wanted to look didn't matter. The hair styles are basic buns and curls, very outdated. My makeup looked nothing like it did in my trial, when I brought it up to Carrie that it was a concern of mine cause it wasn't what I was expecting she seemed to give me excuses about lighting when she used her own lighting she brought with her that she used during my trial. The students/artists couldn't even finish a makeup on one person without Carrie's help. There was no hair stylist. Carrie styled the hair, she didn't seem to really know what she was doing. It was more time consuming since Carrie was playing as the only stylist. Needless to say I was 20 minutes late to my own wedding. My bridal and I were very disappointed in the services we paid for. I would go out of my way to let anyone know that they should not go with this makeup company! Terrible service and not very good at listening to clients. read more

She was really good about answering all my questions too. You can see in the photos that she's very skilled at making you photo ready but natural looking, which was really important to me. I wasn't a fan of the eyelashes because my right eye kept tearing up badly, even hours afterward. She used super high quality, natural eyelashes, I just think my eye freaks out over stuff like that. I also think if I did it again I would have my make up done a couple hours before photos instead of right before. I noticed that my first couple of photos looked super heavy, but then it absorbed in and looked amazing. Great learning experience and amazing experience overall!

With Chibbi, there's always a light atmosphere and a feeling I'm in good hands. He's very light-handed -- he takes skin care very seriously, so you don't have to worry about him dragging his brushes along and causing you pain. He's also a great teacher. If you have any questions about technique or products he's using on you, he can answer confidently in detail. He's a very open person -- just tell him what you want (or bring reference pictures!) and he'll hook you up. I highly recommend his services, especially for theatrical makeup!

I decided to book a massage at the Windflower Spa as a birthday gift from my boyfriend. I had just…read morehad my second baby three months prior and was really looking forward to my first outing without my kids needing anything from me. With busy schedules, I found a day that worked for everyone and booked my appointment. I arrived about an hour early so I could enjoy the hot tub before my massage. I was also planning to take advantage of the spa amenities afterward and grab lunch at one of the restaurants. About 10 minutes before my appointment, I put on my robe and headed to the waiting area. As my appointment time came and went, I watched every other guest get called back for their massages while I continued to wait. After another 10 minutes had passed, I finally went to the front desk to ask what was going on. The manager came out and informed me that there had been a miscommunication and my massage therapist was unable to make it to work that day. Unfortunately, there were no other therapists available and no alternative appointment times. I was simply told they were sorry and that I would need to reschedule. At that point, I broke down in tears. This wasn't just a massage, it was my birthday gift and my first opportunity to step away from the chaos and demands of postpartum life. Having that experience taken away without any notice was incredibly disappointing. To their credit, they did offer me a complimentary massage whenever I am able to rebook, which I appreciated and accepted. However, this was a very disappointing first impression. A simple phone call before I arrived could have saved me the time, effort, childcare arrangements, and emotional letdown.
