There was a problem with the locking mechanism on the door so we had to use the key multiple times to be able to go in and out. In addition there was a door with signage saying that it doesn't work, however it was working - so it was confusing. The indoor pool was also cold at night since they required the windows to be open, so the pool water was also a bit cold for our preference. They do have a breakfast included and they have a neat little machine that makes small thin pancakes for you in 2 minutes. Nice assortment of milk and yogurt available as well. There's also a candy / snack area, where surprisingly you can get a pretty large bag of gummy bears for only $2.

It's really a motel with indoor corridors and parking outside your door. Oddly, there were two doors in the room -- one that led to the outdoor parking lot and one that led to the interior corridors. The bed was comfy, the shower was good, the hotel was quiet. The staff were friendly. Plenty of outdoor parking. Small indoor pool (we didn't use it). The complimentary breakfast buffet was pretty typical with a decent amount of seating. They offered eggs, bacon, yogurt, oatmeal, cold cereals, granola bars, apples, oranges, toast, muffins, coffee, tea, juice, etc. We noticed there were several construction workers staying there at the time. The lamp at the bedside would not turn on. On the upside, the staff were so very nice. The bar had some nice bourbons. They were not busy and provided popcorn between lunch and dinner menus. The hotel is close to Buffalo Trace. Check out Blind Harry's was a place for dinner. I would not stay here again while it is under construction.

Right in the middle of town you have your fair share of restaurants to walk to. The local people are super friendly so you can't go wrong with anywhere you go! You can also choose to stay in and lounge with a cocktail in the beautiful seating area of your suite. The fully stocked kitchen area isn't short on glass or cookware. The bed is comfortable and made for a good nights sleep. So whatever your pleasure, Trail Suites Inn is sure to satisfy!

I…read morereally like the renovation of old downtown buildings, so much better than tearing it down and going back with a concrete hotel. Rooms are nicely appointed, although the bathrooms need an exhaust fan - got pretty steamy after a shower. Tall ceilings give the room a feeling of a lot of space. Super clean - its brand new. Bed was comfy - great night's sleep. Staff was helpful and the Cyprus and Oak next door is a solid choice for dinner. Limited on street parking, but on a lazy Sunday we did not have a problem finding space. Additional parking is behind the building.
