    Fabulous place !!
    Lisa E.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]5 stars for a delightful, sparkling clean & bright, modern cocktail lounge right in the heart of Oyster Bay.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I think this type of meeting place is what every town needs. A weekday Happy Hour 5-7pm makes it that much easier to love a Spritz. We were 6, arrived as they opened and chose the front window seating area with 2 small couch like benches and a nice sized cocktail table. Attentive service, drinks made to perfection. Menu was very reasonable and we shared some pizza's and the trio of olives/truffle chips/mixed nuts. Cocktails from a Rye Manhattan up to French Martini's to a Campari Spritz were expertly made and served in the proper glassware. I've been to many places that put a Spritz in a small white wine glass so shallow that the straw bobbles to and fro, which is a sin. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great 70's+ music, dynamite lighting that was nice and bright along with the sunshine peeking through the bay windows.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were a bunch of high tops and an ample number of cushioned bar seats.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And they take a reservation ! The Audrey is already added to our rotation of gathering spots. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I kept thinking about how fabulous this space would be for an intimate party or celebration. Just the right size & shaped room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the chandeliers & the blue velour couches.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I came here on a Thursday at approximately 7pm with a friend. We didn't have a reservation but we got a high top right away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Audrey reminds me of a mix between a lounge and sports bar. There are a few big tables but also couches and high tops for drinks and food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My friend and I split the pear & goat cheese salad with chicken and the ricotta Di bufalo & truffle pizza. They were so great and served us the salad already split and the pizza was a very large portion and delicious. I was super appreciative because the waitress never rushed us with eating or drinking and we were able to sit and chat for a while even after finishing up. I would definitely come back

Great causal restaurant/ lounge in oyster bay service was excellent and friendly. Food was tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have couches , high tops and a bar. Also outdoor seating in the back.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Many vegetarian options.

The food was okay, the service was not it. It started off good, but the waitress just continuously disappeared, I watched her, pour herself a drink, and stand there eating the whole time. The food was more based on presentation than the actual flavor, but [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambience was quite nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I'm back and better than before…read more We started with the spinach and artichoke dip, which was creamy, rich, and served with perfectly crisp chips. The shishito peppers were blistered just right with great flavor and a little kick. Simple, but done well. The smash burger was the standout. Cooked perfectly with a great sear, juicy inside, and topped with melty cheese and pickles that balanced everything. Add the truffle fries and it was game over. Crispy, flavorful, and generously seasoned. The Greek salad was fresh and bright, with good quality feta and olives. A solid, refreshing balance to the heavier dishes. Service was exceptional. Attentive without hovering. The decor is warm and stylish, great energy without being too loud.

Our group of 7 had reservations for 7:00pm a couple of Fridays ago. When we arrived, we pulled up…read moreto the valet, handed him our keys, and walked in right on time. We were seated immediately in the room toward the back left corner where we were the only table occupying the space. In fact, as the evening progressed, no other diners/groups were seated back there, which was nice. We observed that although it was a Friday evening at prime dinner hour, the restaurant never got too full nor was the bar area buzzing. Again, it was nice that it wasn't so hectic in there, but we noted that as curious for a spot like this, on a Friday evening, and when the weather was pleasant. Starting with a high point: our server was really good. He was a very nice young man who let us know at the end of our meal that it was actually his first day on the job. While we could tell he didn't know everything about the menu - which is totally understandable given him being a new hire - he was kind, personable, and went above and beyond to provide excellent and timely service. As for the venue, it was nice although not upscale and that was just our speed for this evening. We loved having the room to sit comfortably at a setup that could comfortably seat 8. As for the food, it was decent although I wouldn't call anything I tasted fantastic. For apps, we shared 2 orders apiece of calamari, crab cakes, and lamb chops (6 apps total) with the chops being my favorite out of those. The calamari were small and didn't pack a lot of flavor but they were fried well. The marinara sauce that came with it was also fine but not remarkable. The crab cakes were a little mushy for our liking. For my entrée, I ordered the Lobster Rigatoni. There was plenty of lobster on top, the portion was more than solid, and it came out at the right temperature but the flavor again failed to really impress and was somewhere between "fine" to "good". For dessert, I ordered the chocolate lava cake, and I was truly disappointed by that. For starters, there was no gooey "lava" as the name implied, and the edges were dry and seemed overcooked. The flavor again fell a little flat and I didn't bother to finish it even though I am usually a huge fan of chocolate desserts. All in all, we had an enjoyable evening as a crew, but the food could be elevated a bit from a flavor standpoint. I would give the food a little better than a "3" but I think they have enough going for them that amping up the flavors could do wonders for their desirability and drawing more diners.

Very excited to come back to Gioia, but unfortunately this will be my last visit…read more The meal started on a positive note with the mozzarella and prosciutto, which was solid. After that, everything went downhill. The rigatoni pasta was completely unbalanced, alternating between overwhelmingly spicy and overly salty. The biggest disappointment was the Chicken Milanese. It arrived unfinished, with no dressing at all. When we pointed it out, instead of correcting the dish, they brought us a tiny side of dressing. It was served with a sad handful of arugula, and at $39 it felt like a complete rip-off. Honestly, my local pizza place serves a better chicken cutlet. Dessert didn't redeem the meal. The crostini was forgettable, and the ice cream tasted like a generic supermarket brand. The restaurant itself is cute, but it's unbearably loud. We spent half the meal saying, "What?" because we couldn't hear each other across the table. The service was just as disappointing as the food. It was slow, and we had three different servers throughout the meal, making the experience feel disorganized and impersonal. With such a limited menu, you'd think the focus would be on executing every dish well. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Save yourself the disappointment and spend your money elsewhere.

Is it the delicious food? Maybe the sophisticated yet sleek ambiance. I don't know what it is, but they got it and I love it. And I love showing them off to others. On a cold Tuesday night, it was pretty empty. I really hope the summer months are better to them. The table-side bread basket was amazing. We each got to pick which sort of bread we wanted. There was sourdough, focaccia and others. I went with the focaccia and never looked back. Burrata and beets, Brussels sprouts and salmon that was cooked perfectly was enjoyed while the specialty cocktails were sipped. We had all the attention of the staff being the only diners in there. It was such lovely time I'm going to make sure I don't wait to long to go back.
