    Chicken Parmigiana
    Nick M.

If you're craving Italian food, I highly recommend La Parma. I tried the veal, rigatoni bolognese, rigatoni alla vodka, and the chicken parmigiana, and everything was bursting with flavor, especially the sauce. The rigatoni alla vodka was definitely our favorite dish. They offer valet parking, and I suggest making a reservation since the restaurant is on the smaller side.

Been coming here for every special occasion for the past 25+ years. Every birthday, every graduation, every milestone - you name it, this has always been the place! This is/was my favorite restaurant in Long Island and never disappoints. We order the same thing every time and last night's meal missed the mark from a service, ambiance and food standpoint. The revisions to this old school establishment seemed perplexing between the art on the walls which lacked any sort of cohesiveness - felt like the place we call home was suffering an identity crisis. One second you feel like you're at Ethan & Allen and the next: eatily...I missed the homey, downplayed vibe this place used to have. Lla parma is known for the best linguini and white clam sauce and I look forward to it every year...it's always cooked perfectly al dente, same with the veal and eggplant combo - the red sauce is always sweet, to the point where I'd lick my plate clean. This time around, it seemed like the only dish that was nostalgic of the 50 other times we've frequented this establishment was the fried zucchini. Which, if I can make a recommendation (get a serving and a half). Baked clams = lacked garlic and overall flavor (we usually wipe the plate clean with whatever bread we have leftover, this time the overall consensus of our table of 6 was "meh." Linguini and white clam sauce = not the same...something was off Veal and eggplant combo = sauce was tart vs sweet, veal was rather chewy. As far as service was concerned- it's nice to see some female waitresses being introduced to the establishment but both portions on two orders were mixed up and I tend to enjoy being greeted by the same guy who knows our family and our order. He was nice enough to come over to our table and say hi, and seemed more attentive. I love the old-school feel to this establishment and I'm bummed bc I have never once left La parma, feeling unfulfilled...until now. Perhaps there's a new chef? If so, I'd like to know so I can make other arrangements moving forward. This establishment knows my family and for the first time ever, I'm contemplating never going back. Please, don't fix what ain't broken! If there's a new chef, please let us know where the former chef descended to...missed the mark, file that under words I never thought I'd say...

Delicious $54 bottle of California cab. We really enjoyed it and got lucky to find it locally for $15.99 a bottle

Great clams on the half shell and delicious clams oreganata. Staff could be better versed in the menu, maybe the chef could explain the dishes. Specials should be on a board, I believe Willis Ave had it years ago, or at least printed. The seafood marinara was fantastic, the most tender calamari we've ever had, delicious sauce to soak up with their awesome table bread. The Juggernaut California Cabernet at $54 was excellent, rich and fruity full bodied wine complemented our meal. We got lucky and found this wine locally for $15.99. The dish we liked the least was the bronzini filet oreganata, it had too much Parmesan cheese and seemed over cooked. Maybe every chef has his own recipe, but we'll steer clear of it next time. [ Oreganata is a classic Italian dish. Oreganata style refers to a mixture of breadcrumbs, olive oil, garlic, and oregano (hence the name "oreganata"). ] Very good food, the Huntington locals and regulars seemed to know what to order.

Went on a date night back in December out waiter was outstanding. The food was great. We tried the baby lamb chops that were on special. They were spectacular and got the penne à la vodka to split as well. It was a wonderful date night.

    Veal and eggplant

This was always our go to place. Have been coming here for years. The last couple of times it has just been average and we keep coming back thinking it will get better. Well this time we did take out for a birthday. Paying $154.00 for these less than half filled trays of salted bland tasting food is not the what we expected. As shown theres overcooked, over salted calamari and barely anything in the tray. It was embarrassing to open this tray in front of company. Veal and eggplant was also so salty and over cooked veal. Barely edible. The penne alla vodka was good. Mussels were so small and so much garlic again barely edible. We will not be returning nor would we recommend anymore. Very sad to see this place go so downhill. For the ridiculous price they need to do better.

While I had heard great things about this restaurant, I hadn't been in yet. I'm sure glad we chose to come here. Since I'm perpetually early, I went to have a beer at the bar while waiting and had a chance to peruse the happy hour menu. Lots of good stuff here including many beers and cocktails. This menu is available until 6 pm during the week. Bartender was a doll and gave me the skinny on all her favorites for both the happy hour and regular menus. Bar seats maybe 15 people and a tv above will keep a solo flyer busy for a bit. Once my buddy arrived, we were seated in the dining room toward the back. A great space able to seat many patrons. Larger groups can easily be accommodated. Our server Zack was awesome and came by just often enough. He also did a great job spacing out our courses so as not to overload our table. We started with soup and then had one of the starts of the evening- sliced seared tuna. This was a reco from the earlier mentioned bartender and it was a super home run. So were the Bang Bang Tacos. ( another reco from our great bartender food guru.) My friend said his salmon was good but not great and I had a burger that Zack recommended. Cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious, this was an incredible burger and I could have taken at least half home. I didn't because it was so good and I felt stuffed when it was finished. We didn't stop there though - the dessert menu looked awesome and I wasn't going to miss it. Coffee and snifter of Chambord matched with the cinnamon apple explosion was the "icing on the cake" Great meal and service. Will definitely come back and the sooner the better.

Overall, wouldn't mind coming back here if in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to visit. One of the best features of the restaurant is the ambiance accompanied by good service. Bar is lively on weekends, and the dining area is spacious for table parties of 4-6.

The brunch theme is Mardi Gras, and let me tell you, I felt like I was back in New Orleans! From flavor profile of all the food to the soft music in the background. My boyfriend and I were served fresh breads shortly after sitting down. They were so fresh and delish! For my wine I had the house rose, which was divine! My boyfriend had the sauvignon blanc, which he enjoyed as well! He did say he liked my rose a little bit better. For our appetizer we shared the Char Grilled Oysters. These were phenomenal! I'm still thinking about them now as I write this review! I wish there was more than 5. My boyfriend was nice and let me have the extra one! For our entrees, we each had a different Benedict. I had the Andouille one and my boyfriend went with the crab cake Benedict. Both were packed with flavor! The potatoes that came with them were also packed with flavors! We ordered additional drinks; ultimate Bloody Mary and Hurricane. Sip sip hooray! So good! For dessert I had the cheese cake parfait and my boyfriend had the cinnamon bread pudding. Desserts are made on sight at the bakery and both of these desserts were great! Even the whipped cream was fresh. Everything was amazing from start to finish! Our server, whose name I don't remember was such a sweet heart! We will absolutely return! 5+ stars all the way!

On Long Island, easy parking can make or break a night out, and Trento definitely delivers there. We grabbed seats at the large, comfortable bar and enjoyed a couple glasses of wine. We let our server pick for us, and both choices were excellent. For food, we split the fig, gorgonzola, and prosciutto salad. Beautifully presented and full of flavor. For our entrée, we shared a pasta with broccoli rabe and sausage--another solid dish. But the real standout might have been the focaccia bread. Honestly, some of the best I've ever had--fresh, light, and incredibly delicious. Great food, a comfortable atmosphere, and nice to see a place remain consistently good after all these years. Our waiter Kumar was excellent! On point with a great sense of humor. I thanked him for being so patient with us while we made up our minds on what to order and he said that's what he is. A WAIT er! Hahaha! Only Harold & I ordered apps. I got the steak tartare and Harold ordered the Kobe beef meatball which he shared with Pat. I tasted the meatball, it was so good. Huge but tender. But my steak tartare was the favorite dish of the night. I like the fact that the beef was finely cubed and the seasoning was different from others that I have had but quite delicious. The shredded truffle was a nice touch. The Stracciatella cheese was more abundant than expected but not overpowering. We all ordered different entrées, chicken Parm, a Seabass that was on special, the salmon dish and I got the veal chop All of us loved our dishes. I didn't taste the other entrées so I can't comment on them, but they all looked amazing but my Veal Chop was definitely worth coming back for! I love a good pounded veal chop, and the marsala sauce was delicious without being cloyingly sweet, which sometimes a marsala sauce can be. Also my Prickly Pear Margarita was delicious! Fruity & powerful! Sorry I haven't been here sooner. Thanks Harold! 2-27-2026

We both started with the New England Clam Chowder and it was perfectly seasoned and had a nice amount of clams, potato and croutons for texture. Wonderfully flavorful and it was good portion. While it was fresh, the portion could have included more seafood, as the avocado slightly overpowered the balance of the dish. For my entree, I ordered the Fresh Soft Shell Crabs Luciano and really enjoyed it. The egg-battered, pan-fried soft shell crabs were flavorful, and the garlic, lemon, white wine sauce paired really well with the capellini. It was definitely the highlight of the meal for me. Hubby ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, though it did not particularly impress him. He found the chicken was not as tender as versions he has had elsewhere and mentioned he needed to use a knife to cut it. At some of his favorite restaurants, he said the chicken is usually tender enough that it can almost be cut with just a fork. Service throughout the evening was very good. Our server, Maria, was attentive and courteous, and the bussing staff was also friendly and efficient. While not every dish completely wowed us, we still had an enjoyable dinner and appreciated the warm, attentive service overall.
