We just enjoyed an early dinner here, and it was a five-star experience from beginning to end! The service was exceptional. Our server, Chris, was warm, personable, and attentive throughout our meal. He made us feel genuinely welcome, checked on us at just the right times, and made sure everything was perfect. Manager Vincent also stopped by our table to ensure we were enjoying our meal, which was a thoughtful touch and speaks volumes about how much they care about their guests. We started with the Capellini Cakes to share, and they were absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the Chicken Chinese White Meat, and I had the Family-Style Wild Shrimp Parmesan with angel hair pasta. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared. The portions were incredibly generous--we even had plenty of leftovers to enjoy the next day! The dining room was comfortable, the temperature was just right, and the restroom was spotless--details that made our experience even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back. Excellent service, attentive staff and family friendly! The veal parm was so delicious and the vodka sauce was great. Homemade cannoli definitely tasted homemade, not too sweet and was delicious! Fresh tomato and mozz was very good but I thought $27 for 4 pieces of tomato and mozz was a little absurd. Wish the baked clams and stuffed mushrooms had a bit more flavor. Overall would definitely go back but think they are a bit over priced for what it is. There are other more affordable Italian family style restaurants on the island. I am ok with paying premium prices for fine dining but it was a bit of a stretch with family style Italian. read more

Family's favorite restaurant of all time! The food, portions and service are like no other!

Been coming here for every special occasion for the past 25+ years. Every birthday, every graduation, every milestone - you name it, this has always been the place! This is/was my favorite restaurant in Long Island and never disappoints. We order the same thing every time and last night's meal missed the mark from a service, ambiance and food standpoint. The revisions to this old school establishment seemed perplexing between the art on the walls which lacked any sort of cohesiveness - felt like the place we call home was suffering an identity crisis. One second you feel like you're at Ethan & Allen and the next: eatily...I missed the homey, downplayed vibe this place used to have. Lla parma is known for the best linguini and white clam sauce and I look forward to it every year...it's always cooked perfectly al dente, same with the veal and eggplant combo - the red sauce is always sweet, to the point where I'd lick my plate clean. This time around, it seemed like the only dish that was nostalgic of the 50 other times we've frequented this establishment was the fried zucchini. Which, if I can make a recommendation (get a serving and a half). Baked clams = lacked garlic and overall flavor (we usually wipe the plate clean with whatever bread we have leftover, this time the overall consensus of our table of 6 was "meh." Linguini and white clam sauce = not the same...something was off Veal and eggplant combo = sauce was tart vs sweet, veal was rather chewy. As far as service was concerned- it's nice to see some female waitresses being introduced to the establishment but both portions on two orders were mixed up and I tend to enjoy being greeted by the same guy who knows our family and our order. He was nice enough to come over to our table and say hi, and seemed more attentive. I love the old-school feel to this establishment and I'm bummed bc I have never once left La parma, feeling unfulfilled...until now. Perhaps there's a new chef? If so, I'd like to know so I can make other arrangements moving forward. This establishment knows my family and for the first time ever, I'm contemplating never going back. One of the most important things I look for when reforming to a restaurant is "consistency ". Amthony the chef/ owner is always spot on. The food I first tasted 30 plus years ago is just as good now. In fact they never disappoint. The wait staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. Some of my all time favorites are the baked clams linguini and white clam sauce. Came up from Florida to Long Island and couldn't miss coming here for a meal. It's as good or better than we remember. When we lived here we were here 2-3 times a week. Our kids grew up on La Parma. Today we had their amazing seafood salad(nobody anywhere makes it better) then Froed Calamari Arrabiata(lightly breaded, tender and spicy). From there we had Linguini white clams and Chinese chicken. Always our all time favorites. Food was amazing. Anthony(owner/chef) hasn't lost his touch and Vince is great and welcoming. I'll be dreaming of this meal until our next time. Great clams on the half shell and delicious clams oreganata. Staff could be better versed in the menu, maybe the chef could explain the dishes. Specials should be on a board, I believe Willis Ave had it years ago, or at least printed. The seafood marinara was fantastic, the most tender calamari we've ever had, delicious sauce to soak up with their awesome table bread. The Juggernaut California Cabernet at $54 was excellent, rich and fruity full bodied wine complemented our meal. We got lucky and found this wine locally for $15.99. The dish we liked the least was the bronzini filet oreganata, it had too much Parmesan cheese and seemed over cooked. Maybe every chef has his own recipe, but we'll steer clear of it next time. [ Oreganata is a classic Italian dish. Oreganata style refers to a mixture of breadcrumbs, olive oil, garlic, and oregano (hence the name "oreganata"). ] Very good food, the Huntington locals and regulars seemed to know what to order. read more

Our server was so inattentive. We had a guest in our party with food intolerances and a specific order. The waitress got the order wrong and when we brought it to her attention, her response was "sorry I didn't hear that part." She did not offer to have it replaced or even bring a separate plate have things picked out. As for ambiance, we went for an early dinner on a week night before heading to an event. We were one of the only TWO parties (a table of 6 and a table of 4) seated and they sat us directly behind the other party. By the time we left there were only 3 parties total so they clearly were not saving the space for other reservations. The food was reasonable quality and quantity for the price. Well this time we did take out for a birthday. Paying $154.00 for these less than half filled trays of salted bland tasting food is not the what we expected. As shown theres overcooked,over salted calamari and barely anything in the tray. It was embarrassing to open this tray in front of company. Veal and eggplant was also so salty and over cooked veal. Barely edible. The penne alla vodka was good. Mussels were so small and so much garlic again barely edible. We will not be returning nor would we recommend anymore. My friends and I came here on a Friday evening. The service that we received was top notch- excellent. He could have sold me the air I'm breathing and I would have happily purchased. The way he talked about the food was very passionate. He sold us on the veal. One of the most expensive items I believe. We were very excited. So Disappointed! We used to go in all the time and wow- if you aren't a current regular, they don't tell you the specials and barely look at you. Our waiter was abrupt and MIA. We did see some servers especially the 2 women being very helpful and attentive to their tables. Maybe they told them the specials. We didn't get that honor. When you walk in you are greeted by a really nice smell of a homemade dinner. The service here was really great. Our server was Jake. Really personable and kind person. Food was brought to us pretty quickly. We were a party of 4 and we had the family salad, the ravioli which was a little salty but everything else was great. Terrible experience at this restaurant tonight. I've been coming to this and the Williston Park restaurant for years and have always been pleased. But tonight was different. Food was fine. It was the service. I was there with a party of 11 and from the beginning we were being rushed. Aurelio was our server. First he said we need to order all our appetizers and main course in one shot. We said ok. Not thinking too much of it. Then during the meal they were trying to take our plates before we were even done eating. Again didn't think much of it. Then what finally set us over the edge was when he came out and asked us if we wanted dessert or coffee and he says he needs us to order quickly and leave soon since he needs to turn the table. He hadn't even given us a menu yet for dessert. What a jerk. And then he says it's not him, it's his manager who is pushing him to turn the table. Mind you, we had only been there for 1.5 hours for a meal. It's not like we were there for a long time. $500 bill to be thrown out! Better off going to a McDonald's. I will never ever go back to La Parma and I will make sure people know what happened. Full disclosure left no tip for this waiter. At the end of the day he loses. It's a shame because I have known the owner Tony for years and am so disappointed. read more

Took a dear friend for a very early birthday dinner here yesterday and we had the greatest time ever! The ambiance is always fantastic.
