Inviting atmosphere, great design, and the food is delicious. A great addition to Oyster Bay! Outdoor seating is a big bonus.

The Homestead has become our annual spot for celebrating my dad's birthday and a belated Mother's…read moreDay with my mom and grandma. Each time we've come we've been taken great care of. Lisa the bartender and Katie our waitress go above and beyond to make the experience special and make sure we have everything we need to fully enjoy our meals. The interior of this restaurant features an expansive bar with plenty of tables, plus a private party room. Ample parking here is appreciated as well -- hard to come by in the town of Oyster Bay! The menu features elevated pub fare and includes all the staples (think wings, a giant pretzel, plus burgers and sandwiches) along with seafood and steak options if you're in the mood for something a bit fancier. This year we started off with drinks at the bar - my Moscow mule was ice cold and served in a copper mug. Next, we moved on to appetizers. The fried calamari was crispy and fresh, the baked clams were cooked perfectly and served in an incredible sauce that we lapped up with their signature garlic bread (a must order!). The pretzel was warm and fluffy, the tuna tower was fresh and invigorating. The lobster bisque is another must try - served in a fancy bowl with a lid to keep it piping hot. The wedge salad has just the right amount of toppings to lettuce ratio. I was stuffed at this point, but was happy to have half of my French Dip sandwich with impeccably seasoned fries waiting for me the in the refrigerator next morning (had one Moscow mule too many, they were too good).

My pastrami sandwich was awful. All the fries and onions rings were cold. The only saving grace was the server Lisa who was very nice. $182 for a pile of garbage.

Decided to eat here for my anniversary dinner on a Sunday night. Nice atmosphere in a side street…read morejust off the main drag in oyster bay. We opted for the 4 course pre-fixe for $105 which includes two appetizers, entree and dessert. We had oysters, bucatini with clams, cheese board and roasted mushrooms for apps, all good. Branzino and pork chop were up next, also quite tasty. Apple strudel was good tho the banana pudding was skippable. They comped us a champagne toast which was nice. Only ding is very limited wine by the glass menu. Otherwise, a solid choice for a special occasion dinner.

Is it the delicious food? Maybe the sophisticated yet sleek ambiance. I don't know what it is, but they got it and I love it. And I love showing them off to others. On a cold Tuesday night, it was pretty empty. I really hope the summer months are better to them. The table-side bread basket was amazing. We each got to pick which sort of bread we wanted. There was sourdough, focaccia and others. I went with the focaccia and never looked back. Burrata and beets, Brussels sprouts and salmon that was cooked perfectly was enjoyed while the specialty cocktails were sipped. We had all the attention of the staff being the only diners in there. It was such lovely time I'm going to make sure I don't wait to long to go back.

Sorbet... meh. I would rethink the plate to a crisp white to showcase the soft mango & peach hues.
