I had them install all four tires mount and balance. All four valve stems are leaking and they did not balance any of the Wheels. All they did was mount the TPMS sensor and the tires and put them straight onto the truck. Provided are the pictures that I took of the leak and the wheels showing no wheel weights at all. Roger over at detailing is great, but service was awful. 1) Service scratched the crap out of the inside of my wheels when they were removing the old wheel weights. They told me it was normal. Sure, maybe one scratch, but I might've been able to do a better job with a screwdriver. 2) The balance on all my wheels was 0.5-1 oz off. 3) None of the lug nuts were torqued. Not as big of an issue, but still noteworthy. read more

The business was responsive and flexible. I arrived about 30 minutes late, but they still took my vehicle in right away. The job was not an easy one--my Sprinter is heavy and nearly 10 feet tall. Despite that, they handled everything professionally. They mounted the tires, performed a wheel alignment, explained the results, and provided a printed alignment report. The customer waiting area was bright, clean, and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout the visit. I was looking for a shop that had fair prices and trustworthy mechanics. I researched extensively in the SF Bay Area and decided to use The Auto Paddock for maintenance repairs. It was time for spark plug replacement, timing belt and water pump. David T. replied quickly to my request for a job quote and provided an extremely detailed breakdown, which I appreciated. He was very knowledgeable and patient and upon my request, updated the quote until I was satisfied and discussed everything with me in detail. I felt very respected as a woman. The needed repairs were done quickly and only one additional belt was needed and added to the quote, with my approval. The 2 year/24,000 mile limited warranty is as it should be. Together, the Auto Paddock and I created a future maintence list, with notes, to review next time I call them. I picked up my car a few hours ago and it's performing perfectly. I've already recommended them to family and friends, one of whom just dropped off their older Subaru for a catalytic converter replacement. As other have already stated, the location is convenient, the place is very clean and comfortable and the staff is definitely very friendly. This place shattered our ideas of a car dealership, car place, auto ... it has the most relax laid back chill vibe ever. NOT at all impersonal, smarmy, business, NOT transactional. It has all the good feels, good-will energy, oozes sincerity. Sheldon, one of the owners, is down to earth, approachable, warm and super friendly., genuinely wants his customers to leave their place happy. All it took for us to get a test drive was: a quick snap of my husband's driver's license, hands over the car keys and says, "Feel free to take it anywhere, freeways included, for as long as you need to get a sense of the car .... " These folks are true car enthusiasts. I. Mean. The most beautiful car we found ourselves bowled over by was a vintage 325i BMW in a gorgeous champagne, the growling German engine and the likes of which they just don't make them like that anymore, the quality and the lines of the body. Turns out it's Sheldon's personal ride. No, we didn't buy a lambo or McLaren or Ferrari or any of the high priced supercars, beyond our means, our needs a lot simpler, e.g. a daily commuter car, and if it's a bit old and beaten, the better, lol :-) --but the service we got was as if we'd spent millions there. Their office is a toy store, e.g. someone's wet dream and definitely my husband's idea of heaven as a kid--there are hundreds of "dinky cars," as my husband calls them, little toy cars, many of them pristine and brand new, still in their original boxes. The price was great which was brought me in but the shopping experience made me stay. The decor and vibes were second to none compared to other used car dealerships I shopped around at. Auto Paddock is a breath of fresh air in the car-shopping space. It's casual, relaxed and personal -- very much like dealing with a private-party -- but it has the inventory, information and facilities of a dealership, all without any pressure or sales BS. Some big plusses of Auto Paddock: * very cool, knowledgeable, straightforward owners * nice inventory with many rarer-spec, enthusiast cars * reasonable prices better than the competition for similar models * low-stress vibe Since they're local to me, I visited them 3 times as I was considering a 911 they had for sale. Initially, the car wasn't ready because they had just gotten it in. The tires were too worn to do a proper test-drive but Sheldon (one of the owners) was completely accommodating and let me check it out on the lot. He also went over the things they found during intake of the car and outlined the maintenance they planned to perform to bring it up to spec. When it was ready, Sheldon let me test-drive the car on two different occasions because he wanted to have the PDK recalibrated (shifting was a little wonky on the first drive). He never displayed any pushiness or expectations, even letting me test-drive alone which allowed me to get a good feel for the car. It was almost like being with a fellow enthusiast at Cars and Coffee that was planning to sell their car and we were just hanging out trying to determine if this was the right fit. I really loved the car and was very close to buying it. But during the time it was receiving PDK recalibration, another 911 came along of a similar spec but rarer color combo with lower mileage. So I ultimately bought that one instead. But because of the excellent experience I had with Sheldon, I was torn and it was difficult to pass on their 911. I would highly recommend Auto Paddock. Sheldon and Tony (F & I person) were excellent to deal with. And although I didn't end up buying their 911, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them in the future, perhaps on a trade or maybe if they get in an F80 M3 that I like.
