I was recommended to the Autobahn by my tire guys and boy were they right. The service manager James was a great guy. Straight shooter and very helpful. Hats off to him and his service techs. My car has some warning lights that turned on, and I really hate going to the dealer. I'd rather pay the IRS than a car dealer when it comes to maintenance. Autobahn is by far the worst automotive shop I have been to his prices are ridiculous. He thinks because he has a Merced's Benz star machine and other spec equipment that he's owed it's weighting gold! He will tell you everything is wrong with your car and some bs story about how it's unbelievable! He's unbelievable! He told me when I asked him why the cost of repairs was so much when other shops were less he got irate and started criticizing me and saying that I can afford my car and for me to just come pic it up and hung up on me. Mind you I had already paid him 2500 and hewanted 2300 more because he wasn't sure which line was leaking. Wtf so let's just buy all the lines at a ridiculous price huh! When he then realized he had manhours invested already he called back and said he was sorry and he's never done that before. Haha lol bullshit! This shop is the exact reason that auto shops are hated even before touching your car. It's unfortunate that a shop with so much ability and potential can fuck it off so bad. Mike we don't owe u shit so get off your damn donkey( cuz that's all it is) and be a mechanic. I swung by because I had a steering malfunction on my BMW 530i. I was greeted by Mike and Peter who were extremely friendly and we're glad to take a look at my car. Turned out that I was pretty low on steering fluid and Peter explained exactly when and how the steering message pops up along with looking at a few other things. The best part was that he topped it off for free. A gesture like this goes a long way, especially from an auto mechanic. Had these guys been closer, I would be a returning customer. Mike the owner contacted about the review, I was happy to tell him my issues. He explained to me that his business going through growing pains. Perhaps an ethics class at the community college would help. I don't think Mike is a bad guy, he is just trying to make his way like everybody else. Mike just wants to make as much profit as possible, he just got caught, as I explained to him. I went to Mike initially because he was not a dealership and my first experience with the Autobahn was positive. Yes, there are some wealthy people in Templeton, but not everyone. Hi there, I purchased my first Mercedes about 7 months ago. Prior to purchasing, my neighbor told me about the AutoBahn in Templeton. I called and spoke to the owner, Mike about the vehicle I was about to purchase. He gave me so much valuable information, including what future maintenance would be, etc. etc. He said to call him anytime I had a question, and always called me back right away. Since owning my vehicle, he has performed routine service on my car in a timely and professional manner. His staff and James up front are awesome! Always friendly, knowledgeable and take time to explain details of repair/maintenance work. I had a recent issue and he and his repair team spent several extra hours trying to resolve my problem, at NO CHARGE?! Who does that?! A respectable, honest, do the right thing business that cares about the community and customers. Unfortunately I had to take this major repair to Alfano Motors because it was covered under warranty (another completely different review..will not go there on this one)...... Hats off to The AutoBahn.....as long as I own my Mercedes, I will forever use you guys for non-warranty and maintenance and will sing your graces to everyone I know. We were on vacation in Paso Robles when our BMW started acting up. We were referred here by another mechanic and we were so glad we found Autobahn. The team identified the problem quickly, fixed it in a couple hours and had us back on our way in no time. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. I was driving my mother back to Los Angeles from San Simien. We were coming up the 46 when my drive shaft broke. We were completely stranded at about 5pm 200 miles from home. I limped into Templeton and was given their number. I called and explained the situation. Not only did Mike (owner) and James (service manager) keep the shop open long enough to diagnose my problem. They waved my diagnosis fee when the needed repair was obvious THEN reserved us a rental car 30 miles away and used the owners vehicle to drive us to pick it up. I can't say enough about the customer service and generosity of this service center and the people in it. Highly recommend them to anyone. read more

We had all 3 of our automobiles serviced at autobahn in Templeton until recently we discovered a bit of dishonesty and neglect. We took a trip to LA when we were about at ventura we began hearing something slapping against the underside of our car, we stopped at a big brand tire store and learned that all 4 tires had metal bands showing and we desperately needed 4 new tires. it amazed both my wife and I how a repair shop that constantly services our cars did not make us aware we needed tires. We had another company service our car upon changing oil and filters they discovered filters that appeared to have not been changed in a very long time and was clogged with debris. The oil pan drain plug ring seal looked like it was never replaced and needed to be. I personally have never trusted autobahn but my wife did until recently. she is finally convinced that autobahn can not be trusted. autobahn has lost all our business 3 vehicles, and also a friend of my wife who had her car serviced since autobahn first opened said she'd never go back there. She also commented she lost her trust in them. I have said it over and over never trust a guy who smiles when he talks to you about repairs and price. During one of our service appointments Mike said he would check out our battery light which was on and preceeded to charge us $90.00 to test the battery with out first advising us of the cost. 90.00 to test a battery that can be purchased for just over a 100.00 dollars? I think that's a little rediculos. My wife's brother in law happen to meet Mikes uncle who said his nephew Mike takes advantage of people and thinks because they drive expensive cars they should do what he feels is necessary no matter what the cost. I personally don't like the guy and we don't trust autobanh. We have taken our vehicles in for a simple oil change and ended up with a 250.00 dollar bill. not fair we will never go to autobanh for service again nor will we ever recommend them.
