Saturday morning after Thanksgiving I attempted to go to my mechanic to get my brakes checked. Sadly for me they were closed along with most of the mechanic shops with excellent reviews. My initial thoughts was that I had a faulty caliper on my front drivers side since it did sound like the problem was coming from that area. On Sunday I was able to do some due dilligence and stumbled upon On the Go Auto and gave them a call at approx 10 am by around 1:30PM Gilbert had completed repairing my vehicle. The brake pads were going out on my passenger side and it had damaged my rotor. I am very appreciative about this businesses honesty and quality of work. Gil is the BEST mechanic I've ever met! I needed work done on an imported JDM car that he was not experienced with. He could've easily turned me down like the other mechanics but NO! Despite all of the differences and difficulties, Gil displayed immense professionalism and perseverance. Gil worked on my car for about 4 days in total on separate occassions. Throughout, I offered to pay him multiple times for the labor he performed. His words were "I will not accept your money unless I am fully done fixing your car." I was astonished. I called this afternoon to help diagnose a starting issue on my Ford 150 and they were here by 5:30 and spent almost 2 hours diagnosing and checking fuses and modules, starter, battery, alternator and brakes. A late review, but I needed to give Gilbert the 5 star review he deserves! I found his page after searching for local mobile mechanics in corona for my solara that wasn't starting. Initially I contemplated having my car towed to an auto shop but that would have been pricey. Fortunately Gilbert responded within the same day and even gave me a call to explain possible courses of action for repairs. He was 100% transparent with the pricing which I appreciated. Day of the repair Gilbert arrived a few minutes early and got to work on my car. He was very friendly and professional and we felt we were in good hands. After some diagnostics it turned out my car ignition key just needed a battery change since the signal wasn't registering. At the end of the service Gilbert was kind enough to not charge us for the quick diagnostic. He also refilled my windshield wiper fluid since he noticed it was running low.. so many small but significant gestures from this service. I own a 1951 custom car, and have found it to be difficult locating a mechanic shop willing to work on it when things go wrong.
