A smaller group has been playing The Futures on Mondays for some time now. 500 Club has ALWAYS been a little more ($) than comparable courses, and not good customer service. Behind the counter, they act like they're doing you a favor. Now recently, they built a new facility/building for The Futures and events - the 9 hole course next door. And in so doing, did away with the chipping green. Permanently. That makes them the ONLY course in The Valley that doesn't have one. Seriously. And what, you ask, did they name the new building (and course?)? THE VIEW. Lmao. With that, my Monday group just changed locations. Permanently.

I'm no grass expert but the grass seemed different. Very short and hard. Holding a shot was almost impossible. The sand traps were iffy as well. Very little sand in most of them. While it looks like a desert course, the desert was mostly free of bushes and cacti. The pace of play was OK for a Friday afternoon. We played the front in 2 hours and the back in 2 1/2 hours. We never saw a ranger. The practice area was pretty chewed up but usable.

After seeing so many Golf Ranch ads on IG I was curious about this course. I arrived and realized…read moreit was total chaos and disorganized. There were no carts available and a group of about 15 people clustered by the building. All the people who work there seemed very confused. There was no Marshall directing the flow or order of cart assignment. I started asking everyone their golf time and that is how we gained clarity on who got the next cart. Finally, a couple carts started trickling in and only one person was cleaning the carts and there was a pause on that. They gave the cart to the nearest person to them so we then started going into the golf shop to ask for a key. None of it made sense. By this point it's 15 minutes past my tee off time (10:48). We finally get a cart and tee off and the course is very poorly maintained with small ravines veining across all the fairways. I'm surprised someone built a course on this bad land. The cart paths are junky, they have small black poles everywhere right at shin height and I now have a scratch on my leg. The course layout was whack and the driving range was also subpar. I feel like this course should refund my money and reimburse me the gas money for the 30 minutes it took to get there.

I visited Topgolf Glendale on Saturday night (3/14) and had one of the worst service experiences…read moreI've ever had here. We were in Bay 109 and our server was De' Laurence. Normally, a server greets you shortly after you arrive and goes over safety, but we waited about 10 minutes before he even came by. When he did, he skipped any introduction and just asked what we wanted to order. I've had the Play More Membership for about 5 months and ordered waters and an appetizer, the chicken buffalo dip. The food actually came out quickly, in under 15 minutes, which was great, but our server then confronted the food runner in front of us, questioning whether the order was even ours because it came out so quickly. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional, especially since the runner confirmed it was correct. From there, the service continued to decline. I had to repeatedly remind him to bring waters, plates, and napkins. He eventually brought four plates but only two napkins for a group of four, and even after asking multiple times, the waters didn't arrive until we only had about 15 minutes left of gameplay, after asking four times. By that point, we were already 30 to 40 minutes into our session. With about 12 minutes left on the hour, he came to charge us using the handheld device. After we paid, we chose not to tip because the service was clearly not up to the usual standard we expect at Topgolf. He immediately turned the screen, saw the $0 tip, and loudly said, "I'll make sure you guys never fucking come back here again." He said this aggressively and loud enough that the surrounding bays turned to look at us, which was extremely embarrassing and completely unacceptable conduct, especially given his tone and inappropriate language. He then left the bay area. Shortly after that, a manager came over and told us to leave, even though we still had about 10 minutes of gameplay remaining and unfinished food. The manager also refused to provide the server's name, despite it being clearly visible on his name tag. The manager told us, "My server said that he was disrespected by you guys, so I'm going to have to ask you guys to leave." Even after explaining the situation, he still did not try to accommodate us. To be clear, the gameplay and the food were great as usual, but the service and how this situation was handled completely ruined the experience. As a loyal Play More member who has been coming to this location for years, I'm extremely disappointed. Being verbally disrespected and then asked to leave without any refund or compensation for unused time and unfinished food is unacceptable. Especially after we waited an hour and a half to get a bay. Which we happily waited due to previous amazing customer service from other servers. I hope management takes this seriously, because this is not the level of service I've come to expect from Topgolf. De' Laurence needs more than just a conversation with management--this was extremely unprofessional and very disappointing. His demeanor and behavior are not appropriate for a customer service role.
