I have a sick pup, so I had some people over helping me out with him and we all wanted some pasta. We ordered the Spaghetti Marinara, Spring Pasta, a quesadilla for my friends daughter, the beer battered avocado fries and regular fries which came with an AMAZING aioli! The spaghetti was so good, lots of garlic and parmesean and showed up pipping hot. I tried a bite of my friends spring pasta and that was also damn good! Everyone loved the avocado fries and regular fries, (especiallythe aioli). The pastas both came with sourdough garlic bread which was also incredibly tasty! The quesadilla was huge! My friends daughter ended up taking the rest home with her. Honestly, we all had leftovers and I'm so looking forward to having my spaghetti for lunch. I'll definitely be ordering from here again! I ordered the chipotle stake....it honestly sucked. No flavor, and mash had no flavor as well. Our server Nicole was wonderful, but the food was not great especially for that price point. This was my first time here and it was Not a great experience. We had a large party of 17 and looked forward to enjoying the evening with friends, music and food. Our server was over whelmed with serving the outdoor patio for lots of people , and only one other server to help. I get it, but when you have a band playing and numerous reservations are made, you probably need beef up the staff for a busy night. When we all got our food, one person in our party who had ordered the Flat Iron steak, didn't get his plate. We had all finished our meal and he still hadn't received his food. Our server apologized and said his plate got delivered to another table by mistake. After an hour , his steak still hadn't arrived. She brought him a complimentary beer and said the steak will be out shortly. Twenty minutes later, my friend went inside to find out why his food is taking so long. He stated this is " Horse s**t ! That's it no other foul language or raising his voice. The server said that she is closing is tab and has to leave. My friend asked to speak to the manager and she said "she was the manager". The server/ Manger then came to our table and told his wife that her husband is being asked to leave . This was completely embarrassing for all of us and uncalled for. So our friends paid their bill and BTW, they were also charged for the "complimentary beer". So this gets better, when our bill came, we also had my friends Flat Iron steak added on our bill. We had to have her remove that. This could have been a great evening because the atmosphere and music were great, but unfortunately our server ruined the evening. My husband and I came to BGNB last night to enjoy a nice evening of food, drinks and music with great friends. The band, G3, was phenomenal! The service, on the other hand, was a disaster. There was a good-sized patio in back and within an hour of our arrival, the place was packed. There were only two servers taking orders for what appeared to be close to a crowd of 75 people, maybe more. Our particular waitress was inattentive, impatient, and downright rude. We had to wait well over half an hour for our for food and when it finally arrived, one of our party's food was missing. She apologized that his food was mistakenly delivered to another table and promised him it would be out shortly. In the meantime, she brought him a "complimentary" beer. Well, another hour goes by and still no food for our friend. He went inside to tell her that he was still waiting for his steak and that it was horse sh*t that he was still waiting. The waitress immediately came out to our table and told his wife that he was being ejected from the restaurant for "cussing her out". He was not cursing at her, he was simply calling the situation as it was. She then proceeded to tell his wife that the "complimentary" beer she brought would no longer be complimentary, but billed to his tab. Meanwhile, I asked repeatedly for my iced tea to be refilled and she finally brought out a small plastic cup with mostly ice and a little tea. What could and should have been a very fun experience was completely ruined by this "manager". Had it not been for the band it would've been a disaster. I hope for the sake of the restaurant they will address this unfortunate situation. In the meantime, my husband and I won't return. After all, Rattlers is right next door. read more

We used to go to this restaurant back when it first opened... The patio was incredibly welcoming and was perfect for multiple families with rambunctious kids. It was a regular stop for us with our group of friends. Well, kids grow up and friends grow apart and you don't necessarily go out to eat with the same people as much as you used to, and we stopped coming. A few weeks ago I turned to my wife and said hey, we haven't been to the backyard in quite a while, we should go... It's so close and I recall the food being really good. Needless to say, we have been back four or five times since that first return a few weeks ago. And my instinct was absolutely correct. The food is amazing, the patio has its own great vibe, especially when there's music. And the staff, especially owner Jen, are unbelievably attentive and Regularly bend over backwards to make sure your experience is five star worthy, even if you aren't planning on writing a review. There is so much good on this menu, even though it is an extensive menu. So many restaurant consultants tell chefs to not provide a huge menu because you're just spending a lot of money on ingredients you may not use. But this is a smart menu, there is a lot of overlap of common ingredients that allow this kitchen to provide a lot of different variety. I mean, my goodness, in just a few visits we've had the steamers, sliders, the grub dog, the Ruben, the club sandwich, the seafood pasta, the grilled chicken breast and at least one salad. Everything is delicious and plentiful, a real dining delight. But here's the thing that sticks out at me the most... The thing that you hope for from an honest restaurant owner. The last several times that we were there, Jen was our server. My mother-in-law, who, like me, loves a good bowl of soup, asked how the tortilla soup was. Normally, Jen said, the tortilla soup is delicious... But this batch isn't very good. We are still trying to perfect a new recipe and the soup isn't very good, I would not recommend it. That is refreshing honesty From someone who understands her customers. It's fine to recommend something, it's even smarter to recommend against something. We will continue to go to the backyard, since it's in our backyard and look forward to eventually having tried everything on the menu. We came here a group of 15 requested outdoor seating because we had dogs with us - but they did not even make an effort to accommodate us. they took down their patio umbrellas and gave us a table without any shade. When we requested for a shaded area (because it was the middle of the day) they wouldnt grant our request because issues with servers and spiders. we couldnt understand the problem since we had explained we were willing and not bothered with whatever spiders they were talking about -- we had just come from camping and there were more insects and bugs there than the few spiders they had. we just felt they werent willing to serve us. so we left. crossed the parking lot to a sandwich restaurant that had their patio umbrellas out and didnt have any problems about the wind. not recommending this place because of poor customer service. read more

Last night me and 12 of my friends went to see one of our favorite bands at this restaurant. I called ahead to let them know there was going to be a big party in case they needed to increase staff. We got there early and got our food but one of our friends never got his steak. After 30 min I went up to tell our server, then an hour later the person that never got his steak went up to ask what was happening and said this is horseshit. They in turn kicked him and his wife out. We all were appalled. We are not drunk or routy just simply wanted his dinner. We will never return again. Let me tell you've we've been ordering here for quite sometime. Our favorite go to for to-go dinner. But haven't been in about 6 months. We've been seeing posts about supporting them and so we ordered our regular. Can't tell you how disappointed we were with the food. The once glorious very large steak salad was a pathetic version of its old self. There was only a sprinkling of ingredients. The small piece of steak was well done on outside almost Raw on inside. Very tough. I had maybe 3 nuts in it. Cheese? Where's the cheese. Brownish avocados. Our other salad was less than 1/2 the size it used to be and the steak again was bad quality. The third salad we ordered ...well she just said "nope" and pushed it away. Dried old chicken. Unfortunately this was not what we had hoped for. Won't be back after this. Pretty cool spot to hangout with family and friends. They were super sweet to my niece's dog, brought out a bowl of water as soon as we sat down. Only reason I didn't give the full 5 stars is due to the wooden tables outside needing to be sanded down and restained. I had a splinter just from when I touched the top of table while setting my glass down. I also noticed splinters on the bench and sure enough one got me while I was getting out of the table. I don't feel these picnic tables are very easy to get in and out of to begin with, but adding the splinters really made it a challenge. They have happy hour all day Sunday which is cool. I wasn't going to post anything on here but since my kids woke up sick today, on the day of their graduation that they can no longer attend I changed my mind. We went here for a party and the party was supposed to be on the patio. It was already cold, we were all bundled up the best we could, we got a table next to the fire pit because when the fire pit was turned on the temperature would have been perfect. But we couldn't see any one who worked there walking around. So we went inside to order drinks which were covered by our party hosts. Our kids were cold and hungry so we sat down at a table inside to look at a menu and order food. A blonde lady came over to scold us saying we weren't allowed to sit inside because there was food outside and that the party hosts were paying for drinks and food. We said ok and went back outside to our table by the fire pit. This is where we waited and waited. The only food outside was chips, salsa and salad, none of that was warm food for the kids. So my husband went inside to order and while I was outside I finally saw a lady with long black hair who looked like she could work there (none of the staff had on any names badges or anything identifiable besides some pens and paper in her back pocket) and I asked her if the fire pit could be turned on and she rudely responded that the person who is inside and in charge said "no, it won't be turned on for this event!" My husband then returns to our table after opening a tab to pay for our own food and drinks and he tells me that he asked them on the inside about the fire pit and they told him it was up to the lady working outside with the long black hair if the fire pit was allowed to be turned on or not. While waiting for our food we decided since we are now on our own tab, and since they passed the buck on who was in charge of the fire pit and it was cold and the kids were freezing that we would wait for our food inside and eat there. We walked inside and half of the party we were with was inside getting warm, but they told us we were NOT allowed to be inside due to being with the party and them paying our bill. We said, we are paying for our bill and we are sitting inside with the kids. They said they would give us our food and close our tab and we could leave. So we ate inside along with half of the party who also came inside because it was so cold (NO ONE told any of them they weren't allowed to be inside) and then we left. This place was NOT busy without the party they had, so I don't understand why they cared so much about us sitting at ONE table. If they had just turned on the fire pit we would have been fine. The attitudes at this place and lack of customer service is why we will NEVER go back! We now have 2 sick kids who are missing out on their Kinder Graduation ceremonies. read more

Updating my review again because the response I was given from the owner is inaccurate. Only four people in my party shared a $46 pitcher of beer (2 to be exact, for $92). The pitcher only filled four 12 oz. plastic cups. The pricing makes no sense. A pitcher of Modelo is $27 (steep enough as it is) and I guess to upgrade to a Mango Cart Michelada it costs $19 to upgrade. Stating that my party consumed 10 Micheladas is just blatantly false. The only other person in our party ordered a single beer, separately, as was reflected on the receipt. The vomit in their bathroom is not soap build up. If you zoom into the photo (if you can stomach it) there's chunks of red and food. I would seriously encourage anyone who is contemplating giving this place their business to look elsewhere. There are at least 5 other bars and breweries that I can name in Santa Clarita that have fairer pricing for what you're getting. read more

The outdoor patio was quite large and open for diners. My bf and I visited on a Saturday afternoon at around 12:30 pm. The restaurant was busy but not crowded. Parking in the big shared lot was easy. The vibe was casual, relaxed, and fun. The menu seemed full of tasty options. As a vegetarian, I opted for the Veggie Burger. We also ordered the Pretzel appetizers, the Dodger Blonde beer, and the Teriyaki Burger with a turkey patty. Our food came out in a respectable amount of time and was well plated (in cute metal trays) and in good portion. Best of all, the food was tasty and filling. Service was good. Pricing was decent. I've been a few times, never had an issue, So it's very disappointing to receive the customer service that I experience today, I wanted to bring my mom to come try this spot because she's never been before, when we got there, it was extremely hot like the ac wasn't on, We picked a table, that sat four, the server (Thick red hair server) came and asked us how many were in our party. I told her it was for two she then asked if we could sit at a two table instead, she was very rude and had attitude when my mom told her Why can't we just sit here, she rolled her eyes to my mom and I. and then proceeded to say yeah I guess.. "There was a lot of open seating, so I'm not sure what the big fuss was all about. It made me and my mom feel very uncomfortable so we decided to leave. Never ever again will I come here.
