Kinda surprised by all the reviews on here! I stopped by yesterday afternoon and had a lovely and quick meal. I ordered chicken salad with lettuce, tomato, onion on an everything bagel. My partner also got some sort of bagel sandwich creation and we both really enjoyed it. I've definitely had better bagels before, but the service was friendly and quick! My partner and I have been buying from this place at least twice a week since they opened. They made A LOT of mistakes with our food (ask for bacon egg and cheese and got egg and cheese more times than I can count). We forgave everything, because their bagels are good (when they're right with your order). We only said it's enough when I got expired eggs in my bagel. The eggs were literally black, and I already got home when I opened my bagel. Too bad that a place that can be so good is not keeping the minimum required. Don't serve expired food to people. Thank god I looked before I took a bite... Hope the management will check where are they are keeping the food, how clean the place is and how much attention does employees pays to what they're doing. read more

They get one star for having a "somewhat" nice staff. Their vegetarian omlette tastes like it was cooked on top of bacon. When we asked for no peppers and hash-browns there were extra peppers and home fries. and my TOASTED bagel was not toasted... way too over priced for how terrible their food was. Convenient to Airbnb we were staying, plus right at entrance to Subway. Decided to give it a shot. Nice greeting by behind the counter crew, was kind of empty? Wrote it off as after rush hour, picked up a little while there. We tried 4 different items and all were okay, but in NY okay is not good enough. I got a whole wheat everything bagel with vegetable cream cheese. It was a solid bagel but I wish there was more cream cheese. I like cream cheese with a side of bagel lol. However, the croissant I got was the worst croissant I have ever eaten in my life. It was so hard I felt like it was more like a cracker so I tried to warm it in the oven just to soften the croissant. However it still was super disappointing. I came here since it had a cool name, also because it was pretty close to where I was staying in Brooklyn. It recently opened so I had some expectations, but they weren't met completely, hence a missing star. I ordered a plain bagel with tofu sun-dried tomato cream cheese which was ABSOLUTELY delicious!! I almost turned around to get seconds, but my only complaint was the guidance from the workers. They didn't seem to guide us through the menu since the set up of the store was kind of confusing. I ordered through grub hub on yelp. There were no options to add lettuce and tomato or cheese to my sandwich so I put the additions in the notes. They called told me it usually costs extra but they would add it anyway "this time" because there was no freaking option to do it. I get my order which took forever, (I'm a block away) no straws no napkins, NONE OF THE EXTRAS.....HUH???? No lettuce no tomato no mayo WTF? This is a new bagel business in my neighborhood I was skeptical about wether to order from here cuz it's really a big part of the gentrification process happening in bushwick. I've had nothing but good experiences here so I can't relate to the negative reviews at all, but most of them seem to be from when the store originally opened. Maybe the staff was different when it first opened or they were going through some stuff but the staff has been friendly and the bagels have been really great as well. read more

If you aren't ordering delivery, don't bother. This place is notoriously understaffed and they will always prioritize their to-go orders over everything else. Saw 10-12 Uber Eats and Seamless drivers come in, wait for their food to get made, get their orders and go before I got my food that I ordered inside. And I didn't even go crazy- I just got an omelette. It's ridiculous and the staff gave me no updates at all, I just sat waiting for 25 minutes. Food is always good, but I wouldn't say it's worth the wait and disrespect for them to bow down to their cash queens in food delivery apps. Also; they got my order wrong! Came here at around 9:15am in a Monday morning. I was the only one in the store besides deliver food drivers waiting to pick up orders, so I got served right away and my bagel came out fast. I got a whole wheat everything bagel w/ bacon, lettuce, avocado & sprouts. The bagel itself was absolutely delicious and tasted super fresh. The rest of the sandwich was great as well. Sigh... I did not want to do this.. I feel like most of these reviews are ppl who either hate the place, or love it. I wanted to love the bad bagel so bad but after continually giving my patronage today was the last straw. I have been a regular since it opened, coming in at least 3x week. Bagels are tasty af and the coffee is strong. I've dealt with basic problems like other reviewers (spoiled coffee, wrong orders, extra condiments in my sandwich(ketchup in an egg and cheese really?) and, consistently waiting very long times to get an order and seeing other customers get the same order as me before I do. Been late to work twice waiting over 20 mins. Last time there was a hair in my sandwich. A short and stubby one like a man was scratching his beard or something. Well today I ordered a sandwich for my son. The lady at the counter put in my sons lunchbox and all was well, till I opened it at school and got SMOKE! Apparently the paper caught on fire and someone in the kitchen wrapped it up and gave it to the counter lady to serve to my child. Ashes and the smell of smoke engulfed his tin lunch box. My child's pre k teacher even said I should go and demand my money back, but it took longer than expected to get that sandwich and I was already late. So basically my advice for the bad bagel is.. don't get comfortable. U start to feel like a regular and trust they will treat u like a your a regular free loader at their house eating their roommates Greek yogurt or some shit. Get something basic and quick (bcc, and coffee) and just go about your business. Don't make this your main place because trust me eventually they will shit on your morning. You don't need to eat a shitty bagel to fuck up your morning as life (especially on mondays) tend to do it for Try at your own risk. I upgraded my rating to 3 stars because the kitchen is hit or miss but everything else (servers, owner, cleanliness) is almost always ok. So I felt 2 wasn't a fair rating. 3 accurately depicts this place if u were to show up multiple times. read more

Because their training, service workflow, efficiency was never properly developed. I'm a local biz owner for 12 yrs. They've never gotten my order correct - could be solved by just having your employees write the orders down - YES. OWNERS HAVE YOUR EMPLOYEES WRITE DOWN THE ORDER LIKE EVERY OTHER BAGEL SHOP IN THIS TOWN. And this happened this morning - I'm the only customer and it appeared to be the owners waiting on me. Were the bagels bad, as advertised? Who knows. Didn't get that far. But I can say the service is mediocre. I walked in. 2 people behind the counter preparing some food, then a third walked out after about 5 minutes of me waiting for someone to acknowledge my presence. She looked at me, said nothing, then began doing other things. At this point there were 4 people in line, none of whom were acknowledged by the 3 people behind the counter. I walked out after being ignored for 10 minutes, went one block to The Brooklyn Breakfast, and ordered a bagel/received my bagel in less time. I get that things get busy during the lunch rush. But if you're not going to have a dedicated cashier, then you can at least make eye contact with people and say "We'll be with you shortly." read more

What is it about bagel joints in Bushwick just not able to get it right? I came here the other day to grab bagels for myself and coworkers, and it was great. But today ruined that good experience and, as such, I recommend relying on your corner bodega for your breakfast needs rather than this dumpster fire of a bagel place. I understand that Sundays can be rough for all of us, and no exception for myself. However: - there was no clear ordering system, and people were just...standing around. In that space, the set up of going to the back to order doesn't make sense. - even with everyone standing there, the employee taking orders was complaining to coworkers about not getting enough hours, rather than ...helping the people standing there - after quite some time waiting for food, the people next to me ask to see what's happening with their food. the tickets are time stamped, and it's been 20 minutes since they've gotten their bagel sandwiches from the back - employees not really operating with urgency. slowly bagging to go orders, meandering to the back, etc. the pace doesn't match how busy they seemingly are with to-go orders, which makes the timing of getting everything out the door even more frustrating - nearing 20 minutes since we ordered two bacon, egg, and cheeses (albeit, one with veggie bacon), we ask if we can cancel and get a refund. there's a train to catch. - food finally comes out (couple next to us are still waiting, it's been 25 minutes for them), food finally comes out, but I don't get my food because the counter worker says they need to charge me $2 more because of the veggie bacon. for some reason, the ticket with the order didn't reflect this. the BEC was already $6 (overpriced anyway) so now it's a $8 BEC? A dozen eggs, a package of American cheese, and a package of bagels doesn't even cost $8. so on top of waiting 20+ minutes for food, I had to find cash to pay the extra $2 that the cashier didn't charge. at that point, just bite the bullet and hand over the sandwich. you made the mistake of not charging, you left people standing way too long for an egg sandwich, and there was no apology. hopefully somewhere in the area opens soon that can fulfill Bushwick's bagel needs in a delicious and timely manner, but this place isn't it. read more

I had read previous reviews so I knew I was rolling the dice going in here...however, I think it should be said that if you ask to use the yelp offer for a free coffee when you check in, you will inconvenience and frustrate the staff to an eye rolling point, which was pretty off putting. I also said I needed vegan cream cheese and the staff's first suggestion was the tofu and lox flavor...when I questioned about the lox being vegan, the response was, "well it would be so much easier if you were pescatarian." True, but I'm not and you almost gave me fish. Haven't eaten the food yet. Most people on here are complaining about Caesar wraps or salads(?!) at a BAGEL shop. Well, I grew up in this area where we know how to appreciate good BAGELS & PIZZA... so transplants, please go get your kale wrap at a vegan shop because this place does what their name says best, BAGELS. I bought half a dozen & some of their homemade jalapeño cheddar cream cheese, both were off the charts! The bagel was perfectly made, soft yet firm. & the cream cheese was fresh and flavorful, real chunks of jalapeños & cheese! MY roommate loving their Blueberry bagel & the Zataar Bagel (something I've never seen but use the seasoning while cooking at home) was so unique & delish! The staff was super friendly & helpful. So, if you are looking for QUALITY BAGELS in Bushwick, definitely come here! Support small local businesses doing what they do best. read more
