The bad bagel certainly is the best addition to come to Bushwick. Whether it's a BEC that you crave or a just the regular bagel with cream cheese, there's just nothing like it anywhere. I got a whole wheat everything bagel, scooped and toasted with avocado and a side of turkey bacon. Something simple, but there's nothing like biting into a bagel with it being so soft on the inside and with so much flavor. Don't forget to grab a cup of their delicious roasted coffee filled with so much aroma that wakes you up. Disregard the reviews of others who feel the need to to put down a new business. It's the quality of the bagel that matters, and the service is exceptional. Nice clean looking place. Order came out wrong (ordered toasted, wasn't. Ordered w lettuce, none.) The lox and cream cheese are decent quality, although cream cheese is only put on one side (kinda sucks when shops skimp on product when you're paying top dollar) the quality of the bagel it self seemed half decent, but it did feel dried out / old. Well I loved the decor of the places, the servers were so freaking awesome, polite and worked so hard to get my order on point. Now the bagels, after having my multigrain with cream cheese which was simple, but that's how I begin. I'm not sure why many of the reviews for The Bad Bagel are so subpar but I've gotten their sausage, egg, cheese, hashbrown with a little bit of hot sauce 3 times and every time I have been impressed. The egg is always fluffy and cooked like an egg should be cooked (none of the gritty folded nonsense). The service is good and the place is very clean which is very rare for a bagel shop, highly recommend! read more

Holy yum!!! I got a BLT on an everything bagel and it was just so incredible. Everything I could have wanted, an abundance of bacon and the bagel was 10/10. I will be coming back. Also I ordered it delivery on seamless and paid $10 for this one sandwich with delivery fees and tip etc. and it was actually totally worth it. read more

Was an okay experience - staff was friendly, store was clean, food was meh. My partner ordered an egg & cheese with hot sauce and the sandwich was swimming in the hot sauce. By the time he opened it the bread was soggy and falling apart. My bagel was good but nothing to rave about. read more

I've been coming to the bad bagel for a few months and I actually enjoyed the food. The bagels are good, the cream cheeses are delicious, and the egg sandwiches are bomb! But with all these good things comes the bad! To begin with there extremely over priced! I understand that a business needs to make money but overcharging people in bushwick just because it's a gentrified area is just wrong. Why come to the bad bagel when you can go to the corner store and get a bagel with cream cheese for half the price. You can even walk half a block and go to good morning Brooklyn and get a B.E.C for two dollars cheaper. Yes the bagels are good but not to pay 5.17 for a bagel with cream cheese. They also charge more for "specialty bagels" that are literally there everyday. They can't be special if they have them every day! The employees are nice but there always understaffed making the employees work 10x harder increasing the opportunities for mistakes. Today was the last straw for me. I ordered a GF bagel with zaatar cream cheese and it was 10$. That's crazy for a bagel with cream cheese right? When I go to the store and get the same order it's only 7.80 meaning they raise the prices by a dollar or more for Grubhub. I understand they probably get there GF bagels from somewhere else but 10 dollars is a rip off. I also follow them on IG and a few weeks ago they mentioned they were under new management but it seems like the management is worse. The other day I asked to speak with a manger because they messed up my order again, and the girl over the counter said the manger wasn't in. What type of business doesn't have a manger at all times! My advice to the customers is, stay away from this place, yes the food is good, but they mess up orders all the time, there extremely overpriced, the new management is worse then the people before, and they charge more on Grubhub just to make more of a profit. And if the company reads this good luck with your business, just because we're hippies doesn't mean you have the right to overcharge people who work hard for there money. Great tasting bagels and shmear, friendly service by bagel preppers (there's one in particular who seems to be there most often and he is friendly and on-top of things!). Prices are very high - I paid $5.13 for a bagel + shmear, almost double what I would pay anywhere else in Manhattan (& this is in bushwick...) My bagel was also significantly smaller than the last few times visiting, which I'm hoping was a fluke. This place would have 5 stars if they would make their prices more reasonable. read more

Came here for the first time today; got referred by a friend and the signature bagel sandwich I purchased was delicious!! I had the "prospect heights" signature which comes with beef salami, tomatoes, virgin olive oil and fresh basil, all on an everything bagel. Damn! It was really good and really hit the spot. And in terms of service, little wait to get my order. Looking forward to trying the many signatures combinations for bagels; they really have some interesting combinations. Was in the mood for a fresh bagel and wanted to tryout the new spot. They had a very nice selection of specialty sandwiches but I wanted a bagel with cream cheese and fresh lox. Everything was fresh and the cream cheese was definitely Philadelphia unlike many bagel shops that use a cheaper alternative. I got my sandwich quick and easy and the coffee was definitely delicious. What a joke. Placed an order on seamless. Within a minute started getting calls on all the things they are out of. Made the substitutions. Then I get a text from the delivery guy, he says I have to come down to my lobby to get the food. I respond with my apartment number. He says he isn't going up.... okay so I call the place and cancel the order and tell them the delivery guy has an attitude. Then the delivery guy starts texting me about my 10% tip in addition to the $3 delivery fee--- this place is like a half mile from my house BTW. If you're gluten free, this place is a rip-off. Costs $7 to get a GF bagel with cream cheese, and their gluten free bagels are also half the size of their regular ones. Further, they outsource their gluten-free bagels! They don't even make them, so there's literally no reason to price them sp high. read more
