My friend and I stopped by this little bagel spot while in Bushwick. Might I say this was actually a really good bagel spot. Sandwiches are fairly priced, it's NYC what do you expect! Upon arrival, I navigated the menu particularly looking for brunch options as it was nearing noon and I wanted something more filling. I was greeted by a nice guy behind the counter shoutout to him for constantly engaging with his customers no matter how busy they get! I ordered the Thriller sandwich, it was so good all the flavors were delicious together and it was fresh! Seating inside is good if you wanna stop in for a few, just know it could get crowded during rush hour. I came here in the morning around 10ish and ordered a garlic bagel with two eggs sausage and american cheese. The bagel was flavorful. First time i could taste the difference between this bagel and a normal bagel from any stores - the flavor. I could taste the freshness and the imbued garlic flavor in the bagel. The rest of the ingredients: eggs, sausage, and cheese tasted pretty much the same as you would order elsewhere. I checked in using Yelp and i got free coffee as part of Yelp check-in deal. Located right outside the entrance of Jefferson St (L) station, Bad Bagel is a convenient place to pick up a sandwich on the go. I came on a weekday morning and ordered a sesame seeded bagel with spinach artichoke cream cheese ($6.75) which was unfortunately rather bland. The bagel itself, while studded with fragrant sesame seeds, was chewy and had a good crust. But the spinach artichoke cream cheese spread tasted like neither spinach nor artichoke and was just very disappointing in general. I could see chopped up bits of spinach and artichoke in the schmear but it tasted like it needed a good dose of garlic powder or salt. read more

They have a wide selection of signature sandwiches, as well as more simple breakfast options with eggs. The texture of the bagel is good, although it is a bit too bread-like and not as chewy as some of my favorite spots. The bagel itself had a perfect chew, perfect crust, and close to what I'd consider a perfect Brooklyn bagel. Scallion cream cheese was on point. discovered Bad Bagel via the NYC Bagel Passport promo and decided to come back bc i really enjoyed the bagels & the quality of cream cheese spreads and its current 3-star rating feels criminally low. decided to go with a whole wheat everything bagel with cucumber-dill cream cheese. the bagel had nice inside chewiness with nice balance of sweet and saltiness--the outside had a slight crispness. the cucumber-dill cream cheese is thick smooth with a filling fattiness and the cool herby refresher of cucumber and dill. the combo of the everything bagel and the cucumber-dill cream cheese makes for a filling lunch sando when you need something substantial and filling. the space is really clean and well-maintained. there's some seating in the front. service is pretty average but works for a casual bagel / sandwich place. this is the only bagel spot that i have been to in Bushwick and has been a nice find. read more

The BEC was well proportioned and I liked the village roll option; chewier than a kaiser, but softer than a bagel! Their bagel was good, flavorful with a nice chew. I didn't care for their horseradish cream cheese I picked though. It seemed to need another flavor to balance it out, maybe a horseradish cheddar combo. I visited twice and this place did not disappoint! I had the Off the Wall sandwich and then the cheesecake special a few weeks later. The bagels definitely aren't the best in all of New York but they do hit right. My sandwich was my favorite, it was so so delicious and reheat fine the next day.
